Maris is incredibly unprofessional, wouldn’t pass me to a manger because I was calling to report something about her. Won’t answer and kept hanging up.
Been taking our scrap metal there for years but I’m done.
It’s became a TSA style enforcement atmosphere. No longer any friendly staff working in their yard. Took 400 lbs of left over steel to them on 4/23 and a young man was instructed to stay with me to watch what I was delivering. That’s fine but he didn’t even bother to stop playing on his phone to help me unload any of the heavy items. Just stood there, watched me struggle and would not even engage in any friendly conversations. Very unpleasant and lazy staff now. Not sure why things have changed so much. From the minute you pull in you’re greeted by a security officer style gal on a scouter barking orders from the get go. Zero pleasantry’s, greetings or welcoming comments. Plus the fact that they pay less than their competitors do only fortifies my decision to go elsewhere in the future. Honestly it’s easier selling gold & silver than selling scrap iron to Blooms. Not worth the poor treatment for me to go there any longer. Been there twice in the last month and it was the same way both times. Sad as they used to provide friendly and helpful staff. They are also paying you less if scrap iron is not completely stripped clean now. So be warned if you have scrap metal to recycle. Consider other more pleasant options.
Blooms is convenient they are efficient and helpful you are able to get in unload quickly get paid on your way. I have personally been going to Blooms for over 30 yrs.
A bit tricky to find. The small gate is next to the road, and if you aren't paying attention you can miss the sign for this business. They take almost every kind of metal here. It was not crowded and they weighed my cans quickly. You then take your receipt to the cashier for the money. Everybody here was fantastic and friendly. I interacted with three different employees and they were all awesome. Not sure if the rate is as good as other recyclers on the area but the service was top notch. I got $0.47 lb for aluminum and $0.35 lb for cat food cans.
This was a frustrating experience. I was told to unload my metal one place and after I had unloaded the majority of the items I was told most of my stuff was aluminum and I should have taken it to another place to get top dollar. I did not have the time to reload the pieces which included several cans which were scattered everywhere. Basically was paid about one twentieth of the rate I could have received. Disappointed!!!!!!
My dryer died on me so packed it up and my aluminum cans and made one trip to Blooms. Everyone was very friendly and pleasant. I have come here for many years. Today was the very best visit ever!
We were able to easily recycle our aluminum cans and cardboard. Easiest if you enter through the side gate to the east of the main entrance if you just have aluminum and cardboard. We had just a bit of tin and weren't super interested in money for it, but if you have more than 10lbs it'll be worth it to get your car weighed at the main entrance before and after you drop off your tin.

Love this place! Sylvester is such a great guy, willing to help and always cheerful. Checkout staff is wonderful too! Such a great place to recycle and scrap whatever metals you got!
These guys always take care of me. Quick, friendly and don't turn me down when I need a certificate of disposal like some of the others will. This is my go to and always will be.
The staff is absolutely INCREDIBLE! Friendly, helpful and quick to answer their phone. It feels great to recycle as much as possible and this is the place to do it. Highly recommend! Thank you so much Bloom!
They don't offer you a fair price for scrap. They offered me 30% of market value for my scrap. Slap in the face, and I will never return. You'd be better off driving to Logan for scrap, where they actually pay what you deserve.
They don't correctly calculate the weights so you do not get the correct credit. I had a mixed load of metals yet they didn't separate into actual metals and gave me the aluminum price for brass, copper , etc. Very bad experience. I will not recommend them.
Fantastic, fast, no bs, if you have alot of weight in copper or wire. Call ahead and see if they are willing to give you top dealer price. You won't regret it.
This place is as safe and hygienic as possible. They do a good job. Tight fit for the aluminum recycle area...parking and maneuvering wise. Be prepared to put your own aluminum cans in their recycle cans--they will not handle your bags, etc., for safety as per Co-Vid19 protocol.

I took in some aluminum cans and it was very confusing. I had no idea where to go. I went into the office and then she directed me to the green metal building which was right next to it. However, it was more of a deal green and it was a pain to get the process started. Now I know for next time, but definitely confusing. They should put up a large sign so people know where to go.

Took in what everyone else gives me bright and shiny price for but since the wires where not long enough they gave me #1 and I have never had anyone subtract 2lbs for my bucket. Last time I go there.
I have to agree with Nathan Caulford: Bloom's is a great place to take your recyclables and get paid top dollar for them! I don't understand the negative reviews about poor customer service. I've been taking my aluminum cans to Bloom's for 5 years now, and everyone I've dealt with has been very pleasant and kind. The Hispanic gentleman who is always at the first scale when I go to Bloom's never fails to thank me for coming in, and he is prompt and efficient. I've never had a bad experience with the ladies in the office, either. The last time I went to Bloom's it was 90 degrees and the swamp cooler in the office had broken down, but the cashier was still pleasant and made small talk with me. Try sitting in a cramped office behind a Plexiglas window for 8-10 hours a day in 90 degree heat with just a box fan to keep cool and see how pleasant you are! At least Bloom's employees are WORKING for their pay instead of sitting on the streets of Salt Lake panhandling, looking for people to give them money to feed their dope & booze habits! There are several customer parking spots on paved asphalt at Bloom's by the scales and next to the fence, so I don't understand the complaints about the lot being "all mud". If you're so worried about getting your pristine, pimped out ride dusty and dirty, then take your recyclables to Bloom's in an old pickup truck like I do. Bloom's is the best!
