Was charged for “painted extruded aluminum.” For a small portion of a very large amount of extruded aluminum. Would have been over $20 if they weighed them separately and paid me sparsely instead of lump summing everything and charging the lower amount. Not retuning again and going to their local competitor next time.
Seemed like a decent place. Except the fact that they lied on the internet, saying that they do accept catalytic converters and recycle them. But after driving in the 25 minutes to get there, they told me they do not do that anymore. So after washing examounts of dollars and time to go out there for what was written on the internet to being told now. Looking at two stars as it is but soon like an o k place
I dropped off a water heater. No one was around to assist with my water heater. Had to ask staff to help. Staff are not very accommodating they were not happy to help with my drop off. Will use other places in the future.
The older lady at the desk is arrogant and rude. The owners need to retire her or find her an office to work in, cause she has horrible customer service. Dixie metal recycling used to be my go-to place in Southern Utah. Going forward, I will go out of my way to refer their competition to everyone I talk to.
Not a well set up business. I have shown up three times to drop card board off. The second time I showed up I asked what time they closed. They responded 4:15pm it was 4:17pm. No problem. I went the next day at 1pm no helped, no explanation on where to go. I sat there in the drop off lane and no one reached out to tell me where to go or do. I just sat there unit I just left. Don’t waste your time driving out.
Dixie metal recycling is a fantastic recycling company with nice employees! I visit almost weekly due to my job. I scrap lots of metal and have never had any issues. The prices they pay are on par with others, but that shouldn't stop you from going out of your way to use them! I will continue using them!
I am very disappointed I drove an hour out of my way to come down here because they said they closed at 4:30 but the sign clearly says you have to have your truck on the scale by 4:15 so in actual reality their hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.!!!
Nice crew, very helpful.. they incuraged my grandsone to bring more recyclables. His eyes lit up when he saw the cash he had gathered from a junk air conditioner that may have only gone to the dump..Good experience.
They dont pay for full weight and they dont know differences between metals. they are going down hill fast, would not recommend doing business with them unless you want riped off
I called to see if they sold any heavy scrap steel. I was told yes but in order to know what they have I would have to come and see. I explained that I live 100 miles away and a trip to "See" if they have something close to what I want is a long ways to go and asked if they have any idea if there is something there now. I was told that I would have to come and see. Not a good way to run a business when you tell a known potential customer wit a desire to buy something to drive a 100 miles to see if what you want is there. Not rude, just bad business.
When I called someone picked up the phone, didn't even say hello and hung up. Several times this has happened. I have been trying for months to talk to someone at this business to no avail.
