Absolutely love this place! Shivwits Convenience Store has the cheapest gas around the St. George/Ivins compared to everywhere else. The store is super clean, restrooms are spotless (which is rare!), and the staff is always so friendly and welcoming. Great selection of snacks, drinks, jerky, and those beautiful Native American souvenirs and beaded jewelry make it more than just a gas stop—it's a fun little cultural experience too. Lots of pumps so no long waits, even when busy. Highly recommend stopping here every time you're in the area. Supports a great local tribal business—win-win!
Well I won't be buying anything from here again. I would drive all the way out there just to get cigarettes and gas. But the last interaction with the cashier being so rude and apparently not smart enough to know how to break down a 20 dollar bill. I asked him to put 26 dollars on my card and the rest in cash from the 20 dollar bill I had. The total was 37.50. So that would be 26 dollars on a card and 11.50 in cash my change should have been 8.50. If you didn't know how to break that math down you could have just said that in the first place. And not been rude after the fact to me. But I guess I just won't come out there and spend money there anymore.
If there were 10 stars I'd give them a 10....I'm usually not a huge public restrroom fan, but whenever I'm doing the "Potty Dance & need to 'Free the Pee'," when I really hafta go, & Now, you gotta do what you gotta do!!! So I hesitantly turn the light on & go into the bathroom....to my surprise, it was crazy unexpectedly (really surprised) spotlessly clean, & it smelled good!! WOW WOW WOW!!! Now THAT'S a perfect public restrroom!!
Always friendly. Even though it is very busy, the wait in line is minimal. A very nice and clean convenience store with many gas pumps and even a picnic table!
I purchased gasoline there one time, in April 2024. I filled the tank. It should have taken 13 to 14 gallons. The pump showed I pumped (and thus paid for) over 19 gallons. As the store is owned the Shivwits Band of Paihutes, the gas pumps are essentially regulated by the store itself. Recourse? None. The Shivwits Band of Paihutes, and any wholly owned businesses, have sovereign immunity. I have nothing against Shivwits Band of Paihutes. My complaint is against the individuals who have no problem "fixing" the gas pumps and the government leaders who decided to place the government owned business above legal recourse.
My truck would not start after I got gas. The ladies and a young man went out of there way to assist me. A very knowledgeable customer helped me get,it going. Thanks to the staff and customer you guys made my day
Good prices at their gas station however many times you never receive a receipt at the pump because they seem like they can’t be bothered about placing a paper roll at the pumps. It requires you to go inside to get the receipt, an inconvenience for the customer.
Great experience. Cheaper smokes and fuel. Friendly service. Continuing to expand. I'm very happy at the service offered. Well worth the trip and the scenic views. A must!
We were glad this store was here, just down the road from Gunlock SP. They don't have a huge selection, and in fact most of their Mtn Dew was out of stock (major reason for only 3 stars). If they had more inventory, would bump up to 4 stars.
This is hands down my favorite gas station in all of Saint George or Washington county. Great prices, great friendly people, very helpful, everything at the store is priced as it is and close by to gunlock, old highway 91, keyenta, Anazazi petroglyph, lake fire and Ivins
11/2022 - Since my last review, much better, even more gas pumps to boot!
Update 8/18 mid evening: well most every time we come, seriously, best customer service, and great prices. We'll this time we happen to be picking up well over $200 worth of tobacco products and we found out from a little sign on their counter if you purchase over $200 you get a free little ashtray. It was cute, we were not given the free ashtray however and yes we purchased exactly what the requirements were. Any how I am jumping ahead, what provoked this update to my review was a blatant rude customer service moment. What threw me for a loop, was the customer service, the entire experience sold me on providing this update. We started to place an order of over 20 cartons of smokes, she seemed perturbed when we started requesting so many (mind you if you spend over $200 little ashtray). As the worker walked towards the back room to grab the tobacco I mentioned we had more we would like to request. Since the worker started walking away in middle of us asking for the tobacco, total amount and what type of tobacco we wanted to purchase. Since it was very obvious we had irritated the worker we asked politely is there a maximum, she said no. So okay well then what is the problem, she straight up said, "if it was busy she would of said no to us purchasing so many cartons and I almost didn't do the sale now even though we aren't busy." Fair enough, and we respect that. It was the continued commentary that I did not understand how our transaction for them making money off the tobacco products they sell was a bad thing. She said, "it's not because it's too many, it's annoying"...um, okay making money is annoying, check. Then finishing up her statement, I almost told you no to purchasing, even though it wasn'tbusy and legit 2 other people we saw working there, absolutely no one in the little convenient store...mmm-kay. Not impressed, especially after as a customer, we continually give the place business. Absolutely love the little store then one workers attitude ruins the entire experience. Unfortunately the workers badge was turned around so we are unsure of who that person was, but we have not seen her working previously and we go often about every two weeks each time we spend well over $100 purchasing many of their products other than tobacco.
I am not saying we won't go back but the worker completely left a foul taste in my mouth.
Nice store on the Schivwits Paiute reservation you can pick up snacks, gas, drinks, jerky, food, beer and souvenirs.
It's not their fault gas prices are so high. The government's blaming it on the Rocky mountains. I blame the government for not building any new refineries. Pretty nice place friendly staff very helpful I'll keep going back...
Lowest gas price around. I saw this on my way to Gunlock and had to stop and fill up. Full disclosure: I didn't go into the store, but it looked nice from outside. I saved 25 cents a gallon for regular. That is worth 5 stars in today's economy.
It is a good place to stop between Gunlock and St. George. Has drinks and snacks as well as native American artifacts even. There is a door with 21 and over for beer and the place even sells cigars and not just the usual gas station variety! Prices are mostly good and the folks inside are very nice.
This is such a pleasant gas station. I love the fact that not only is it a Native American owned and run gas station; But! They also had Native American stalls outside. It was awsome to see, way to go Shivwits. It's so nice to see people supporting our local Native Americans community. Their products were so Beautiful and colorful. LOVED IT.
Next meeting I'll take photos of all the fun and beautiful products that they are selling.
Other than good gas prices, there's not much to like. The pumps regularly won't accept credit cards and I can't remember if I have ever gotten a receipt at the pumps. The store has an okay selection but customer service is non-existent. It's just convenient for us but otherwise it's not a place I would frequent.
I come here for my gas. It's cheaper than anywhere in St. George and I also love the staff. They are friendly and easy going, always willing to answer my questions and deal with my bad jokes. Clean bathrooms are a plus too!
I love coming to this store more than any others. The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable. 98% of the time the gas is cheaper than in town. Worth driving this direction!
I stop here regularly on my commute into St. George for work. Great prices. Friendly faces. They have a little bit of everything too. Jewelry, cbd, road snacks, beverages, glass pipes, tobacco. Etc.
Great place for gas. Air costs one dollar in quarters and pumps air for a few minutes. I got all four tires done, but I took the caps off before I put in the money. The folks here are helpful.
Update: The word has gotten out and now it is often busy. The prices for gas are still great!
One of my favorite places in South West Utah. I always go there when I visit my folks. Great coffee and snacks. Good selection of ice cold beer. Best price on gas. Always clean. Managed by friendly people.
The ONLY place to buy cigarettes. They are not name brand but they are just as good!! I just bought 9 cartons for 250dollars..that's unheard of a carton of Marlboro is 68 dollars..I don't even live in Utah but it is definitely worth the drive from Phoenix

The staff is always friendly, bathrooms are really clean and spacious, gas prices are great and the cigarettes are such a great deal! They're all natural, no added chemicals & the price is amazing!!
Such nice staff with a simple atmosphere. Clean and Organized. They have the best snack assortment and gas and tobacco prices. Great place to stop on your way out of Ivins/St. George off the old highway.
