Funny experience, I cleaned up 490 lbs of scrap steel in my yard. I had never done this before, however I thought it would be worth my while to recycle it, Not! I’m getting older with limited mobility and thought they would help unload, no they don’t. I thought well this should be quite a few dollars for all this steel and work, NOT. they paid me $9. Moral of the story, just throw it in the garbage, it’s not worth your time and effort, LOL.
I just have one thing to say about redwood recycling they are ripping people off paying $2.85 a pound when everyone else in Utah are paying $3.60 a pound for number one copper I'm pretty sure that's not honest that's not fair that's not even competitive that's just straight-up ripping people off they must be making a killing talk about greed
Ripped me off to many times I'm done here I took 800 feet of solid stripped copper at 1/4 inch thick plus some 3/8 thickness it weighed my trunk down and filled a 4 foot by 3 foot bin over flowing and some how despite being bright and shiny it was only 160$ for a supposed 80 pounds my dad's an electrician his jaw hit the floor when he herd how much u guys ripped me off so I give it a year or two try u guys again I bring in clean aluminum over 200 pounds the guy helping me no joke seprated maybe 5 pounds worth saying it was dirty ...ok no problem he tossed in in the bin and told them half my stuff was dirty so rather than weigh the clean then the dirty they guessed half of it was dirty and just paid me less I'm done with u guys idk what ur problem is but I promise it's just u no issues elsewhere and I'd like to add I've used u people for 10 years but on both of my big halls u cost me
Best yard in UT, some places can be quite ominous, but not here! They’re super clean and organized and most importantly , friendly! Super helpful with sorting metals and honest pricing, great people , would definitely recommend

I collect cans at my school to take here at the end of the year. They make it so easy to do and it’s so fast. Their appreciation day makes it even better!
Quick and friendly with both the drop off of the aluminum cans and the transaction to Get paid. All staff interacted with were very friendly definitely will choose us as my main recycling center going forward
It's quick and easy. I usually only have small amounts compared to a lot of people I see there, but they're still polite and it gives me a little lunch money!
my reviews for the employee Robert because I've been taking metals to the recycling center for a long time and not knowing what things they don't take or what the difference is between the metals and each time Robert receives the metals I'm selling he helps me and explains the difference in how they're graded. and always I want to put a shout out to the cashiers
Been coming here for years with no issues until today we noticed when receiving our ticket that our copper pounds did not match up asked to have it weighed again and sure enough about 13 pounds of copper was not added when it was brought up to the lady at the front she was extremely rude and started getting very defensive very poor customer service considering we was just trying to bring it to her attention that either someone doesn't know simple math or we was getting ripped off intensionally and from there other reviews it seems to be an issue the first ticket we got from them stated we had 15 pounds of number 1 bare copper I brought it to there attention that I had weighed it beforehand and that didn't seem right asked for it to be re weighed they did but not happy I might add about doing it, and it came out to be 28 pounds so that is a big difference no need to be rude when an issue like this is brought to your attention do better
We have been going to Redwood Recycling for a few years and they have been amazing. All the employees are so nice and helpful. We will continue to use them for all our recycling.
Nothing to do they just take care of everything. They will sort everything out and explain what is what then you get a ticket to take to the register, I even had a coupon and got a little extra. Very nice people to deal with and oh yeah, don't forget to throw a bone to the person that helped you .
Lulu is wonderful at helping you out. The guys in the shop are amazing also. They don't hesitate to answer questions you have. Keep up the amazing customer service!
First off I had no clue how this company works. I was told an address to go recycle my goods. The lady working the counter helped and gave me directions. Next it was a young man/worker named (Robert) he was very professional and kind. Most of all very patient and answered every dumb question I had. I thank you for that Robert. Seems like people aren't as patient with us older folks any more, in this case it was opposite. If this company was smart they will keep this young man around for a long time. Thanks Robert for helping me and for me not regretting the experience. I will recommend to all family and friends. Just ask for Robert.
