They force you to buy this apex program for 1700 dollars for seven years. It only worked at week . Now they won’t refund me they only will have me drive hours to there location to fix it . And we all know if a new 3500 truck the fuel is not worth it everytime it is not working . Dont let them con you into it !!!!!!

Absolutely rude service here. Came to get a simple oil change at 1pm and the guy at the counter told me it was “way too late” to get that done. They close at 6. They also told me it would take an hour to complete, which is crazy because jiffy lube takes 25 minutes. Either the guy at the front is sexist and thinks women know nothing about car maintenance, or he doesn’t want any business. Go elsewhere where they actually want your business.

Larry was amazing!! We were in a bind with needing our ac recharged and he stayed late just to help us. Would recommend this place for sure!! Also very great pricing.

We needed a simple brake check, which many shops offer for free. This place wouldn’t even look at the car without charging at least 30 minutes of labor. On top of that, the customer service over the phone was rude and unhelpful. I’d recommend calling somewhere else.

I did not get my car repaired here, but I was in the middle of a bike ride this morning and had a minor mechanical. The doors were open and I am sure it was before the shop had opened for the day, but the mechanic was kind enough to let me borrow a 4mm allen wrench to get my rear caliper tightened up so I didn't have to keep hearing it rattle. Thanks again!

Larry is fantastic! He is fair, knowledgeable and the best guy to diagnose and do repairs. I have brought my 2012 Ford Edge to him since I bought it.

I had a small job that most people probably do themselves and the person at the front desk did it and didn’t charge me. It was incredibly generous and I won’t forget it. I’ll definitely come back here for emissions and any work my car might need.

I needed a place to swap out my headlight assemblies. I got multiple quotes for pricing and they won. Great work and fair prices. I will be back soon. Thank you!

I took my truck in there today to have my emissions and registration done. The tech there was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. They also told me that my truck needed some repairs that a normal shop wouldn't have caught. They went above and beyond to make sure my truck was in good shape. I highly recommend this place and will be taking all my vehicles here!

Been going here for a few years and he’s always been great. This last time I went with my car making a very obvious not-normal sound (even my 4 year old could tell it wasn’t right), and he had me pick it up a day later and told me it was the “rubber on the tires hardening.” They were practically brand new tires, and I told him that I did some research and thought it might be wheel bearings. He persisted and said, “you’re totally fine to drive it, it just the tire sounds.” I even called him a day or two later and asked him to explain further what he meant by it, and he persisted that it was the tires. I took it to our old mechanic (Dee’s in South Salt Lake) who we’ve trusted forever but we moved far away enough that we thought we’d try someone closer. Dee immediately confirmed that it sounded like wheel bearings just from my description and re-confirmed that it was very obviously the bearings when he looked at it himself. Dee told us that if we hadn’t addressed it, it could have been a serious safety concern. I don’t know why Autosavers would miss such an obvious issue and tell me a loud vibrating sound is perfectly normal, but he has lost our business forever. I do not recommend him as he is obviously not trustworthy in his skill as a mechanic. Going back through the reviews of the past 10 years you can see a very obvious trend of racism and sexism. Only thing that has changed from when he was reliable for us to now is my haircut, which must not be conservative enough for him. Unless you are a white conservative male, do not go here. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a member of the Proud Boys.

These guys are great and always get my car back in great shape. Went in for spark plugs and had another issue come up, they still got it fixed within a few hours and now my car is running smooth again. Very friendly and honest with great prices. I will go here every time!

The very best in the business. If you have gone anywhere else you are missing out. These guys are old school, you get what you ask for, need diagnosis they’ll get it right without spit balling a million other things. You need brakes done, no question asked no up sales just honestly. Larry was extremely knowledgeable and helped reiterate things in a way that made sense. He showed me where the issue was and had it fixed in no time flat. I paid exactly what I was told and was on the road again in just a few hours. I’ve gone many places in the past and have always left them feeling worried I was wasting my money (which I have due to cheap franchise locations I trusted because of the national name that hire kids with no experience other than an sae and drivers ed.) Save yourself money. Safe yourself time. And whatever you do don’t take it to a shop without knowledge. I’ll never do it again, not oil changes, not brake inspections none of it. I will never have to worry about my car being mistreated or misdiagnosed because of a lack luster mechanic. These guys are the real deal they are technicians and they know how to accurately assess issues. I’ve said it before in person but want to make sure his bosses know, Larry the gentleman who helped me the last few days is amazing he is the only person outside of the dealer that will ever work on my car again. Thank you so much Larry for giving me the peace of mind and informing me of upcoming things I’ll need to keep an eye out for. You may not even realize it but you are my hero this week.

I've taken my car here multiple times and the work is always done quickly and well. Most recently I took my car in to get the a.c. fixed. There was several problems that needed work but they gave me the option to start with the basics and see if that would ease the load on my compressor instead of making me replace it right out the gate. A.c. works wonderfully and I'm ready for summer. The owner is also very kind and will have a chat with you. Only place I take my car.

We always take our vehicles here, they do a great job. My 2008 highlander broke down unexpectedly and turns out needed a new alternator. They had it for 2 days total and runs like a champ again. Reasonable prices also.

This is definitely the best place I have ever taken a vehicle for repairs and service. I was turned onto them by some family members and couldn't be happier. They are honest and fair. Larry is a great guy and is extremely talented in his work

Honest review. The person in the front office (I think the owner) doesn't have great customer service skills BUT these guys are the best and most honest mechanics I've found in my 5+ years in the area. My old mechanic (Jake's Auto and Truck in Draper) told me my computer was broken and that it'd be ~$1,600 to replace and reprogram the computer. Got a second opinion from a neighbor and they replaced something that didn't fix the issue ($380 down the drain). I took it to Auto Savers and he told me he was 99% sure it was not the computer and was more likely a pinched wire. He said it would cost ~$180 to diagnose. I'd already paid for two diagnoses now so I was worried but decided to try one more time and have him look at it. It WAS a pinched wire like he thought from the beginning and I think I was out $189 to get it fixed. I subsequently took my Jeep to him for an AC issue and it was again a broken ground wire which they fixed for just a little more than the diagnosis. Yes, he may come across as a little stiff or maybe even a little sexist (my wife's words when she brought our Camry in), but I would not want to work with any other person. I trust Auto Savers to give good and honest service. - 7/23/2022

I walked in an and asked do you do emissions on the spot.. "Yes". Then I was told I'd have to leave my car there for hours and that I couldn't schedule anything. I was going to be back in the neighborhood and could easily come in a future day/time. Not to mention... An emissions check takes 10 min. Strange way of doing business. I even clicked on their Google Ad to find them. So it cost them money, and they gave a one-star experience. I'd turn off the google ads until they can figure out how to not make somebody leave their car for hours for a 10 minute job.

This business is very professional and feels like a great environment!! I’m happy to finally find a shop where I feel like they care and actually want to help me with my car instead of up charged me for things I don’t need. Definitely will be sticking with these guys for everything!!

I just called here. Cary answered and was just as genuine, kind, and amazing as the positive reviews point out. I called 4 other places before this one regarding an issue I've been having with my batteries (yes, plural) and he was the only one to provide a recommendation that I could do on my own. That was fantastic! Everyone else wanted me to drop off my car for an immediate diagnostic without giving any helpful advice over the phone as to what the issue could be. That immediately stroke a chord of trust. I am not a mechanic, but am mechanically inclined and really, really appreciated this. I'll see if his recommendations work and then provide an update if/when I decide to take the car in for a fix for whatever it be.

My family and I where visiting the Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City when on the way to an appointment, my oil cooler went out in our pickup and left my family and I stranded. I was referred to Auto Savers by my wife's mother and father. The man at the front desk was very easy to talk to and friendly. They got our pickup in their shop the same day, diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts. They had it fixed the next day. Also, I had a nother problem with the truck that I didn't know about and they simply told me about it, and made some suggestions. They did not try to add it in to the cost or lie to me and swindle me in any way! Unfortunately honesty is not as common in auto repair as it should be. An honest Mechanic is worth his weight in gold. I would send any and all of my friends and family to them and I will be going back to them myself if I need to without even bothering with shopping around first!!

DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN EMISSIONS. I did my emissions test here and it was fine and only cost $19.99. They told me my brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced. I figured it was about time for the brake pads, but rotors didn't make any sense as I didn't have any signs of issues there and my car only had 45,000 miles on it. I took my car to get a second opinion and they said the rotors looked excellent it was just pads that needed to be replaced (at a better price than I was quoted here and the pads are high quality). They would have charged an extra $10 to get the decals for my registration renewal which seems pretty standard, but when I said I was going to do it online he said the online renewal would charge me that anyway, which is completely false. I wouldn't be comfortable going back here again as I cannot trust that they will give me an accurate diagnosis of my vehicle.

If I could rate zero stars I would. I walked in an hour before close for a state emissions test (which if you look it up takes no more than 15 to 20 mins)and the guy behind the desk looked at me and said something along the lines of I ain’t doing it. I’m done for the day sorry. And before I could say anything, he continued and said my guys get done early too, so I am guessing he was the boss. I drove by 20 mins later after getting the test done somewhere else and the open sign was still on. I don’t recommend anyone that isn’t white or anyone trying to get an emission test done go here. I also was nice and said no worries thank you and got nothing in response. I felt as though I was treated differently because my skin was brown.

The best kept secret in Sandy as far as automotive repairs. These guys are top notch and always get the job done right the first time. I use them for all three of my vehicles. They are reasonably priced and do great work. The guy that counter is pretty awesome as well.

Larry took care of me in quite a pinch. I had just bought a car, and when I was driving home on the free way my clutch pedal just went limp and stopped engaging. I was in Draper and I lived in West Valley. He was able to reccomend a good tow, and was able to get the problem solved quickly. Very fairly priced, and detailed what had went wrong. Might just make the drive down whenever I need some car help.

I’ve been taking my car here for a while now. They always have the best price and even allowed me to purchase the parts (as long as it was the same parts they would have purchased) and installed them for me for the cost of labor. This saved me a bunch of money because I had a bunch of amazon gift cards so I got the parts for free. I don’t live close but drive to them because I can’t find a honest shop that is fair on price anywhere else. Everywhere else wants to kill you with price. You won’t regret taking your car here!

I've been a customer ever since their doors opened, 20 plus years ago. Carey is great to work with and I couldn't be happier with the service this shop provides. Whether it's my work truck, my wife's vehicle or my neighbor that I send in for help with their cars... I can trust that these guys will do professional and honest work.

I took my car in to Auto Savers for a second opinion on some recommended repairs from another shop. Auto Savers repaired my car at a better price than previous quotes and i was extremely pleased with the service I received and recommend them highly.

Our Honda Odyssey had a catalytic heat shield that broke it's welds and vibrated around 2000-2300 RPM's and was getting annoying. I read many forums on how to "fix" it and many of the forums said if you find a good mechanic it will cost them about $30 and they will patch it instead of replace the whole system (catalytic converter and heat shield are one assembly due to welds) which is expensive. We took it in to verify it was they catalytic heat shield and not the front exhaust heat shield and they called to let us know they would fix it for $35 being the catalytic heat shield, but it isn't guaranteed to last. I agreed and was happy that what they were telling me was everything I had been reading about. I really appreciated how they were upfront saying this isn't a 100% fix but a patch and would fail eventually setting me up to expect in the future the issue would return, but for $35 it saves me until I have the money for a larger repair from listening to the rattling. That is not the same I can say for the Honda Dealership. Found a new mechanic close by so I am super happy. I am glad my co-worker referred me here.

I took my car in to get it looked at and get a quote on some repairs that I needed to have done. I was told that several other things were wrong with the car that needed to be fixed I was quoted over $1,500. I decided to get a second opinion so I took it to another . I was told that I didn't need two auto repairs that were listed on the quote Auto savers. They quoted the same exact repairs that needed to be done at a much lower price with auto Savers I was quoted over $1,500 I had my car fixed yesterday at another shop for $702 what would cost me over $1,500 at Auto savers. I was able to get it repaired for $702. so I feel that I was ripped off by auto savers. It's really disappointing as a woman taking your car in to get it looked at and being told but you need several things fixed that you did not need repaired. I was almost ripped off ! I am warning you to take a hard look at your quotes and get a second opinion if you feel it's too much.

I saw there $20 emissions sign and was intrigued. I went in to inquire about it, as well as talk about changing out my spark plugs. The man at the counter said just to change the spark plugs, not even to buy the parts, would be an hour of labor, $90. You're talking about unscrewing 4 bolts and screwing 4 new ones in. Literally 5 minutes of work. I explained this to him and he told me they like to do other things while it's in there, like check other aspects of my car to make sure its safe, and that would all take an hour. I told him I just wanted the spark plugs done, not the other stuff, and he was losing a customer because of his ridiculous pricing. He then got rude with me and said I better look elsewhere and he'd wouldn't have a problem losing a customer. I am not going to do the emissions or the spark plugs here now because of customer service I received. They may do good work, but I will never know because I was not treated with respect before I even gave them my car.
