My car was towed from an apartment complex. They said that I was parked in a fire zone. It was not marked. Every other hydrant in the complex had painted lines marking them, and most of them had signs indicating that it was a tow zone. However, the parking stall I was in had neither a sign or painted lines. Yet, it was still towed, and it had just reached the yard 15 minutes before I called to find out where it was. $316 later, I got my car and was told that I couldn't appeal it until after I paid.

The staff is rude and standoffish when you request details on certain charges, they have factually incorrect information on signs claiming the state of Utah determines the prices, when all the state does is LIMIT how much they can gouge you, they choose to charge the legal maximum. When you request clarification on anything they immediately threaten police intervention. Their reception room is a third of a tiny trailer they keep excessively cold, and the one seating is a pair of child sized school desk chairs. To top it all off they are absolutely negligent when towing vehicles and managed to partially rip off my bumper and scrape the heck out of it. This is before mentioning they towed my car which was legally parked in my assigned parking space at the apartment building I live at, and did not even bother to inform me. All in all I'd recommend avoiding them like the plague, and reporting every single infraction until they are shut down.

I wanna start off by saying. I Don't know how business like this keep operating. Yesterday 7/16/24 my car was Towed from my own apartment complex, with the sticker inside the vehicle. Anyway paid the $310 to get it back, and staff has an attitude that never welcomes anyone. Damages were done on my vehicle, this tow company did everything possible to forcibly open the vehicle. I do have pictures and also got them on camera. Damages on the vehicle are beyond $600 not to mention the $310 I paid to get it back. This company should take responsibility for the damages and be more professional when towing vehicles. They have to remember vehicles are private properties, NOT theirs!

Usually wouldn’t post a good review about a towing company, but these guys do their job. I’ve been experiencing this thing where I get off a 12 hour shift at my restaurant to find no parking spots at around midnight at my apartment complex in the parking garage. I flagged two guys down in a tow truck (I didn’t get their names but they were patrolling at 1am at artesian springs apartments) and I asked them if they’ve been pulling a lot of cars lately. They said they’ve never seen this lot so full and think it has something to do with duplicate passes. Anyways, these poor guys were out at 1am helping me understand why the @“:$ I haven’t been able to find parking at my own complex for over a month. I also was very grateful they didn’t tow myself because I was parked in an area that was not a parking spot that was as off to the side as I could be with my hazards on to run into my apartment to change so I could then drive to my boyfriends house to find parking and sleep. Because of all the shootings going on in that neighborhood, I didn’t want to risk street parking. So truly, thank you legacy towing for doing the hard job. Your guys were great and professional when I flagged them down. They better be getting paid appropriately for dealing with this at 1am.

My vehicle was towed by this company from an apartment complex. Upon inspecting my vehicle the morning after I noticed several scratches to the front bumper and drivers side panel. As someone who takes care of their vehicle, I knew these scratches were new. I also had these 2 parts replaced 5 months earlier, to the date. After contacting the company and sending pictures they denied my claim after “reviewing their footage”. I requested the video, which of course was denied unless I’d liked to take them to court. I knowingly parked in a tow zone and am completely cable of paying and learning my lesson. What I’m not okay with is this company not taking responsibility for these scratches.

As far as having your car towed goes, I had a relatively pleasant experience. The people in the office were kind and helpful, which I really appreciated as I have never had my car towed before and was already feeling panicked about how expensive it would be to get my car back. Obviously, it still was a $300 expense that I really could do without, but I appreciate them being kind. Also, after reading the reviews, I was really nervous there would be damage to my car, but there was not.

I got my car towed and when I picked it up and drove off, I heard scraping. I pulled over and looked under my car and my engine cover was bent and dragging on the floor. I had to rip it off to be able to drive. I walked into the office with the engine cover in hand and demanded help. THEY RUINED MY CAR!!!!! The front desk lady swore me off and started crying. Our teen daughter’s friend did not see the sign and parked in a lot adjacent to a building where you can park. She tried to contact them twice and they were SO rude, unprofessional, classless and tacky. They HUNG UP on her! They refused to quote a price or give her the information to retrieve her vehicle. We will be reporting them to the better business bureau for refusing to give the necessary information. This company should not be allowed to be in business. We understand their job is to tow. That’s not the issue. It’s the down right refusal to allow patrons to retrieve their cars or get the needed information. Dishonest and horrible customer service.

Talking about "we sent you a letter we towed your car" you know how long your stupid letter takes to arrive! How is a company allowed to tow off private property for expired tags, but unable to look up the license plate to see if it’s actually registered or not. The DMV had an issue with mailing me my updated sticker tag, but my plate was registered for the full year, yet my car was at risk for being towed. It’s also almost $400 to pick your car up which is just insanity. Could this company be any more predatory? Yikes.

It's the parking pass that the leasing office gave me and it was in the correct spot in the car, as per requests from the leasing office. HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!!! i got my car towed late last night after i was taking my groceries inside unloading. maybe parked for 15 minutes max. i come back out and my car is gone, i was in a guest parking spot. some lady told me they towed my car and towed her sisters too for no reason. they gave me no explanation, and charge you so many feees. they charged me for 2 days being there but was only there for 1 hour max. they treat you like children and this place is a scam!!! they need to be reported IMMEDIATELY . i am looking more forward into this. wish i could give them 0 stars. they charged me 400$ for an hour of being in their lot and they charged 18$ for gas for a 8 minute drive. absolutely ridiculous!!!!!! i live in an apartment complex.

This place is terrible but honestly the place itself is not the issue the people they hire are I spoke with Arian a white lady with blonde hair looks about late 40s and she was awful she yelled at me on the phone hung up on multiple times wouldnt give me directions. Ate at a downtown Chilis location Saturday night and afterwards at around 11pm we decided to talk over to the Smith grocery store for a few items and NOT drive the 50 yards to Smiths. Apparently they have issues with people parking for large ticket items at the university sometimes. Anyhow we walk back to see that our car has been towed by this predatory and completely lothesome company... Just look at all the reviews of this company and you can see theses guys are something a local news outlet should investigate.. The staff were rude when we called about getting our car back ($400 BTW at midnight). Downtown SLC is becoming just like any other sespool in large American cites Honest people are preyed upon and rule breakers thrive, these guys are the bad ones...

Truck with a trailer is too much weight so if you don’t want to get towed get something that’s too much work for these lazy workers to not want to tow you. I'm all thinking it got stolen. Come to find out it got towed!! This is Easter Sunday this happened. So I look up Legacy towing. It says they're closed🤷🏻‍♀️ me being a greeny at towing, I didn't know you could call them, their 24/7, so here it's the next day I go retrieve my vehicle and told her my story, they don't care, I had to pay two days. Very rude people! Bad customer service! 👎👎 she could at least let me only pay one day, but that's how they make the money I guess👎

I am writing this while waiting for the company to open because they’ve towed my car from my apartment, just before I was supposed to go to work. I work at 6:30 in the morning; this company just patrols the lot in the middle of the night and takes whatever car they see fit it seems. I just bought my car and didn’t have the chance to get a parking pass because our complex office was closed by the time I brought the car home and the next day was Sunday so it was still closed. This is the third car they’ve towed, first my boyfriends which had a parking pass, then his work vehicle which they gave us the okay to have parked here, and now mine, on a Sunday night right after buying it. We have spent $600 already, now we have to tack on another $300 in towing fees. I am fed up with this company and my apartment complex Copperwood, for all of this. They are ruining peoples livelihoods; making them shell out hundreds of dollars and miss work because they walked out only to find their car missing.

Authorities need to look into this company and Meadowbrook Apartments- I am at Meadowbrook writing this and my truck was towed last night within 2.5 hours of parking. Visitors parking is in front of the dog park. I am assuming the worst, as they might some dealings with Legacy as where my truck was parked is clearly in front of the dog park and at the entrance of the apartment beholding and there is no signage NOT TO PARK. Their guest parking is marked as guest on the floor but being dark and not well painted one would assume otherwise. There are no directions otherwise. So, they quickly have you towed and when you come to complain they don’t want to hear. I already paid $314 so I am certain I won’t recover it. I feel taken advantage of and I hope authorities stop to check this place. If Meadowbrook management t doesn’t clearly mark their parking lot and yet continuously have guests towed, then, they should be fined. Everyone should be held responsible and Meadowbrook has equal responsibility to inform their visitors appropriately. If not, it should not be legal to have their vehicles towed. Be aware of this issue. It causes you a lot of inconvenience as well as being super expensive. Obviously signage missing here!

These people are vampires that contribute nothing to society and need to be shut down. Open enough on Sunday to tow me in the middle of the night from a spot I have every right to be in but not open enough 9-5 to answer my calls or give me back my truck until Monday. Made a complaint with UT DOT and my apartment complex and got the fees dropped (over $300). Was out my vehicle for a day and a half unexpectedly, had to cancel plans last minute, missed work hours to make my case and retrieve my vehicle, etc. Staff was very rude the entire time I was there like I was the problem. Really hoping I don't find any hidden damage to my vehicle in the coming days.
