Real scum these people. Came and towed my truck out of my paid parking spot, I pay $45 every month to park there and it gets towed out of its own spot. Insane. I wonder if they get off knowing there job is to ruin someone’s day? When they finally pass and god ask them what they did in life. They will say, I drove around and stole peoples belongings. They didn’t help, try to do good. No they ruin multiple peoples days everyday. Sad how we have these people walking among us. I was working on my car at the time and had my e brake up so I guesss the just drug my tires across the ground to pull it out also.
Show up and try to get my vehicle out, they say that my vehicle is registered under someone else’s name I also have one of their so called parking permits hanging from my mirror yet still got towed! This place is a joke there are famine hygiene products on the floor and the staff doesn’t even know how to use their system. Best of luck to any of those who get their vehicle towed.
Let me start by saying this I got towed last night I didn’t even mind because I parked wrong soo I made in appointment for 1:30am I Uber it there no one was there I had to stop a driver he was a really good guy helped me out when I got to my car it’s e30 on bbs rims my tires in the back were low from the Tow so I was like OK I’ll just drive it to the gas station when I got there. I had a hole so I called someone. They said they’ll help me out. I called today and they basically said they couldn’t do nothing about it. It wasn’t their fault or nothing.
We had a very unfortunate weekend where we had our car towed and lost our keys but Sharon and Cris were a great help and very patient with us while we waited for our keys to be dropped off to us! Thanks to those two ladies for doing a job many of us would not want to do!
Extremely shady practices, my car got towed, the two women working were very aggressive and rude towards all of the people who came in no matter how polite they were. Any questions were responded to with the same line and they didn’t listen to what you were saying. They make you sign a form releasing them of liability for the damage they do to your car and stating that you received the refund policy and a copy of the Utah consumer bill of rights in regard to towing, none of which they will show you until you have signed. THEY REFUSE TO GIVE YOU BACK YOUR VEHICLE EVEN AFTER PAYING UNTIL YOU HAVE SIGNED THIS FRAUDULENT DOCUMENT. The refund policy is that there are no refunds. They charge the maximum allowable amount by the Utah government and tell you that the they don’t make the rates.
Parking enforced capriciously and sporadically at the private building where I live. No way to reach a live person by phone. No restrooms on premises. No Apple Pay/phone payment options. “Automatic” exit gate not working. Second time a friend was towed in two months. The first time we were able to reach a live person, and she did not explain that there would be an additional charge for using a credit card. I had to get someone else standing there to pay for me, and I Venmoed her bc they do not accept phone payment.
Be warned: If you're heading to a UTES game and thinking about parking at Ace Hardware or Trader Joe's on 600 East and 400 South in Salt Lake City, you should know this predatory towing company has spotters watching this lot EVERY game day and the moment you step off the parking lot, your car will be taken. The one warning sign on 400s is hidden behind overgrown tree leaves. Last Saturday night, plenty of people had to wait over an hour in line and then shell out a ridiculous $400 just to get their cars back. In addition, this towing company makes customers sign a waiver stating their car isn’t damaged before you are even allowed to check it! And if people dare to complain, they threaten YOU with the police and refuse to let you see your own vehicle. This is completely unacceptable.
They're super kind folks. Manu helped me get my keys out of my car, and they helped me to not get towed. Literally saved me, absolute heroes. Chrystal said there's too much hate in the world absolutely amazing humans!! It's my mew tow company for as long as I in Utah!

Getting towed sucks. It was our mistake. My elderly mother parked in the wrong spot while caring for my sister who is dealing with a difficult medical situation, and her car was towed by Legacy. The $307 fee stung, especially in the middle of a tough time for our family, and at first I was pretty frustrated.
But when I went to pick up the car, the Shiloh treated me with genuine kindness and compassion. Even though they didn’t owe us anything, she & Todd offered an accommodation that really helped my mom.
I may not love their fee, but I respect the professionalism and humanity they showed us. Honestly, if I had to deal with the amount of crap that they do, I'd probably try to charge more.

Legacy illegally towed me for parking behind the Holden apts but I wasn't parked behind Holden apts. We are next door and I live there. I parked an inch or two into the gap between apartments because of another vehicle but was 100% not behind Holden apts. The wouldn't make it right so I had to pay and sue them for compensation. That's my apartment in in front of.
This place is a joke. You call them to tow shit that is blocking your driveway. Because ppl think they are privileged to park wherever they want to park. Even if its a red zone. Then they never show up. So what's the point of the complex doing business with you. They say they will send but don't.
Towed my rental car on a Saturday night despite parking pass being displayed. Held car hostage until I paid $400 charge. Showed them parking pass in car when I picked it up. They told me I would have to file appeal, which I did, but they didn't respond to appeal, emails, or phone calls.
These guys suck! They are con artists looking to make any extra buck they can. Got a 48 hr warning for having no sticker for registration on friday so I set up an appointment for the dmv on Tuesday since the dmv IS NOT open on the weekend. Called on Saturday to get an extension...no answer. Left a message...car still got towed yesterday. Now i gotta pay 360$ plus 75$ a day?!?!?Terrible company. Terrible communication. Terrible people. Like I said before these guys suck. They're just stealing everyone's cars at this point. Time to just do a lawsuit I guess!
My brother-in-law made the mistake of leaving his car in a permit-only spot while unloading during dinner. By the time we finished eating, it had already vanished, snatched up with the kind of speed you’d expect from people lying in wait.
We went immediately to retrieve it. The experience was every bit as unpleasant as you’d imagine. This company is not “just doing their job.” They exist solely to prey on ordinary people, turning small mistakes into windfalls for themselves.
Somehow, within minutes, they had stacked nearly $400 in “fees.” It doesn’t take much imagination to see what’s going on: this isn’t service, it’s legalized mugging with paperwork.
And honestly, I can’t help but wonder what kind of person looks in the mirror after a shift here. What must it feel like to know your income depends on squeezing misery out of strangers? It’s a bleak trade, one that leaves its mark not just on those it targets, but on those who choose to carry it out.
I left grateful for one thing: that I don’t have to live with the knowledge that my paycheck comes from causing harm.
Literally have towed my car from its assigned parking space twice now. For no reason. $380 both times. This happened this morning again. Going there with a police officer and my lawyer. These are straight up predatory criminals.
The signage posted does not meet the legal requirements outlined in Utah Code Section 72-9-603. While the signs that are required are the correct size, format, and color mostly, there is another sign at the top. The section clearly states the blue sign must be at the top and the red/white sign under. Also, the logo is required to have a full depiction of an entire car being towed by an entire tow truck with a clear depiction of a hook. The sign does NOT have a clear hook. Rather, it looks like an L bracket at best. They also reported removing the vehicle from a different area from where it was actually parked. I have not yet gone to retrieve my stolen property nor have I paid the $307 extortion fee. Which, I will update how that process goes once its been completed.
Vehicle was towed. (I was HEATED, filed dispute & everything) I was @ fault, even though it wasn’t the best experience - company is just a 3rd party & doing their job. Employees are AMAZING considering they get yelled @ by almost everybody, lol. They manage to stay professional & positive.
At first my experience was negative because my car was towed despite calling Legacy the day before to request a 24 hr extension on my warning window due to the DMV being closed for Pioneer Day. Inot confident that the issue would be resolved without me losing a lot of money. Shiloh answered and after hearing the details, she told me she would contact the account manager and see if anything could be done and would call me back. 25 minutes passed and just as I was getting ready to call and start all over with a new associate -she called from her personal number (her shift had ended) to tell me she had resolved the issue with the account manager and, owing to their miscommunication about my car, they would release it free of charge. Shiloh went above and beyond while helping me!! She was empathetic and effective-my rating of Legacy went from 1 to 5 thanks to her efforts.
They towed my car out of my personal space that I paid for then scratched on multiple areas and have not responded back to me so far it’s been 3 weeks and now they say it takes 30 to 45 days to get a response. They are scammers, them and the apartment complex management. Why pay for a parking if you are going to get towed.
They towed my car from a restaurant while I was actively dining out front, they turn their lights off so you won’t notice that your car is being towed. The woman working the front desk who helped us get our car out of the lot was very nice and helpful, though. If this happens to you make sure you bring receipts, photos, and any other evidence you can or else you will be paying $400.
If there was a option for a negative star I would choose that option. The main lady at the front desk was very rude and confrontational. I was a passenger getting my friends car not even a driver. She came out verbally abusive, saying I need to move his truck or she's calling the cops which she did. I told her I cannot move his truck because I'm not the driver. I would never do business with this company and the lady at the front desk needs to be fired. Calling cops for no reason all we were doing is getting a car that was towed. Theres a reason this place has 150 bad reviews this year alone. Definitely need to be investigated. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!
Total sleezebags. They had my car for less than 5 hours charged me a full day storage fee, and they completely destroyed my rims, put a new 6in scratch down the passenger side of my car AND part of my mirror is missing. While yes I parked where I needed a permit they towed it before I could even fill out the info online for one, I’d expect for over $300 they could not cause hundreds in damages while they tow. To top it off when I called for help about the damages they told me to email an “appeal” and that the manager wouldn’t speak to me even though I was being wayyy nicer than I should’ve been for the situation. I don’t need to appeal the tow I need you to be responsible for the damages you caused on my vehicle. Oh and to top it off the parking permit I needed was a free permit so they were definitely looking to make a quick buck and hooked up my car as fast as they could to fill their pockets and now I can’t afford my dogs cancer medication or to repair the damages they caused. Absolutely disgusting how they run their business. No customer service or compassion at all. Quick to hook up a car and damage it to fill their greedy pockets. Would never voluntarily let them touch my car again, literally go anywhere else for a tow and you’ll be in better hands.
Broke the apartments lease by not giving me a 24 hour notice before towing my car. I was literally only parked there for a few hours and they took my car. No signage, no notice, nothing. It took us hours to find out where my car was. We called and found out that you have to schedule an appointment to get your car out. So you can either leave it there and pay the extra storage fee or pay the extra fee for after hours. Ended up being $380.10. They made sure to put that extra 10 cents on there. Absolute highway robbery and a scam of a place.
They towed my truck from a paid parking spot where I had a valid permit displayed. It’s incredibly frustrating to deal with a company that seems to prey on hardworking individuals. Instead of helping the community, they’re feeding off our misfortunes. I urge others to be cautious when parking in areas serviced by this company.
Do better, Legacy there are more ethical ways to run a business!
If I could leave a zero star review I would. Yesterday one of my vehicles got towed because I forgot to print a parking pass and that's on me I own it not a problem. Asked the towing company when we submit a parking pass online if we have to print it out and put it on the dash or not and we were told no we dont have too as the drivers have access to view it online. So last night I submitted parking passes for both of my vehicles and this morning my jeep is gone and towed. Called them up and was like what the hell you guys said we dont have to print out the passes. Well they said that it is required and that there's nothing they can do. Even after pointing out they gave me false information so I shouldn't be liable for it. I feel like i was set uo for a money grab from and that they are con artists to the core. They are still making me pay. $300 for each tow to get the vehicle out. I am beyond livid because I did what I was told and they still screwed me over.
Honestly, I definitely parked somewhere I shouldn’t so they had every right to tow.

Con artists. I wasn’t gone more than 20 mins at an apartment complex in downtown SLC and my car was towed. I called the # on the sign while thinking it had been stolen but checking the tow co anyways and the lady on the phone (Ariel) was absolutely rude and disrespectful. She stated it would be $380 to get my car back. I said the sign says $145 and she yelled, “Well ALL the signs are wrong!” She said the longer they keep the car the higher the fee. I had to take the bus to get there before they closed at midnight. I had to use rent money to get it out so that I can still make it to work so that I can still pay bills. This place is an absolute sham running a con on every single person they’ve preyed on. Also, the sign says “Slickrock towing” and when you call they’re “Legacy towing”.

Literally left for 30 minutes and my car was gone. Literally no signs except one in the dark by some trees covered in paint.
Went to Harmon's to check something out. Not from around that area and they wanted me to come in the next day so it'd be "cheaper". Of course I said absolutely not and came immediately in.
Paperwork said they towed my car within 10 minutes of me leaving it and charged for a whole day for holding my car in their lot. It costed $381 bucks because it was "after hours".
Legacy towing is towing 2-3 cars right here when there is a line to the left and a line to the right, there is no parking paint in other areas but not here, there is no red paint or anything indicating you can’t park there, been taking pictures of multiple cars parked there being towed, this is a scam and apartment complex refuses to do anything and legacy towing still thinks they are in the right, got my dad and his friend who are the best lawyers in the state of Utah involved and taking this to the court house. They are charging people almost $400 to get there car out. This is a large scam, taking pictures of the cars and license plates to show which cars got scammed and towed and collecting evidence.
The staff is rude and standoffish when you request details on certain charges, they have factually incorrect information on signs claiming the state of Utah determines the prices, when all the state does is LIMIT how much they can gouge you, they choose to charge the legal maximum.
When you request clarification on anything they immediately threaten police intervention. Their reception room is a third of a tiny trailer they keep excessively cold, and the one seating is a pair of child sized school desk chairs.
To top it all off they are absolutely negligent when towing vehicles and managed to partially rip off my bumper and scrape the heck out of it.
This is before mentioning they towed my car which was legally parked in my assigned parking space at the apartment building I live at, and did not even bother to inform me.
All in all I'd recommend avoiding them like the plague, and reporting every single infraction until they are shut down.
