I was on a grand adventure with my wife in my Mercedes Sprinter RV just starting out. We live in the San Diego area and were on our way to visit family in Utah and Montana. Ultimately, we ended up driving 4400 miles. After going to see Bryce Canyon, I noticed a strong smell of diesel and discovered I had a fuel leak. I called a Mercedes Dealership in Salt Lake and they suggested I not drive it but have it towed to the nearest mechanic. I was camping at The North Campground in Bryce. I also happened to call a mobile diesel mechanic who calmed my anxiety and told me it should be driveable. I ended up going to the closest town I could find which was Panguitch. That is where I noticed an auto mechanic shop that looked very professional and clean and met the owner Stewart. He was busy but said he could take a look. After seeing what was wrong, he said I had a bad fuel hose that needed replacement and that specialized part could be ordered from Mercedes but it would take a couple of days. I couldn't wait that long and asked if he could fashion something for me. He said he could. I was back on the road within an hour and back on my trip. I can't express enough the gratitude that not only did he interrupt what he was already busily doing, but also took the initiative to create a solution, a good solution to my problem and allow me and my wife to continue on our trip uninterrupted and confident with his repair. I highly recommend Stewart and appreciate the giving of his service. So blessed that we found him. Thanks Stewart!!
Had a great experience with Stew and Ben. My check engine light came on, and Stew told me to bring it in. Ben was very helpful, and cleared the codes in a couple of minutes and solved the problem at no charge. Saved me a 75 mile drive to the dealer. Thanks guys!

Had a repair needed to get back on the road and they got it done first thing on a Monday morning - cold drop in. Quoted the book cost but got it done faster and credited us the time saved. They even sent us to a great breakfast place (Cowboy Smokehouse) while we waited. Doesn't get any better than that.. :)
Brought my truck in because it was making some noise it shouldn’t. Stu took great care of us, he identified the problem and got it fixed for a fair price and quickly. Didn’t even try to upsell me on the cabin filters.
The engine blew in our pickup truck in Cannonville, Utah. RETA (Royal Express Transmission & Automotive) replaced the engine in my truck and charged me almost $8,000, which I was fine with.
Since RETA was the shop that installed my new engine, I decided to take it to them for the first lube-oil & filter change on the new engine. I also asked if they could rotate my tires and they said yes.
What made me really angry is RETA charged me $248 for an oil chane and tire rotation! That was pretty dang insulting!
Was traveling through and needed a quick oil change and tire check. Got an appointment the next morning and everything was taken care of, including him fixing oil level checking thing when he noticed someone tried to glue it on. Very friendly, price was very good too.
Just left - check engine light came on in my second hand truck I just bought last week - Ben checked it and found the camshaft sensor problem right away, and changed it in 15 min. Back on the road and grateful for the quick friendly service and it was a reasonable charge for an on the fly repair. Thanks!
Great service, the owner Stewart helped me fix my car issue. Turns out a mouse ate up some of my wires while I was at a cabin. He was able to fix it really quickly and get me back on the road. Thanks

Horrible! I rented an auto transporter from them through the Uhaul website. I called to confirm that the item was there and available because I was needing my day to pick it up. I was told it was there and ready for me. 2 hours later I got a call from Uhaul stating that it was no longer available. They literally rented it out from under me. This caused a huge inconvenience.
I bring all my vehicles here! it’s hard to find a mechanic I trust and feel confident in what I’m being told, but I can say they have earned my trust and respect! Im always happy with the work done and they go above and beyond for all their customers.

Trust. Quick service. I was traveling and hit by a deer. The front and electronic was completely damaged. Ben reviewed the entire car and ran checks quickly to confirm the core functions were not hampered and I could still drive the car to a bigger city. He spent time checking all details, sympathized with my situation and did not charge me for any of the inspections and recommendations. Big Thanks Ben and owner. Respect.
Super Service!! Friendly and respectful gentlemen. (Made sure he washed his hands before entering my Jeep!). Took us in immediately upon arriving for appointment, knew exactly what was needed for premium oil change and had everything in stock. Traveling thru or would return again!
Our car broke down and we had it towed to this location. I am glad we did! The staff is very friendly and honest and I could tell they made an effort to get us taken care of quickly since we were in a hurry to get back on the road. I wish we had the same level of service and honest staff where I live!

We got a bad oil leak 15 miles out of town, with smoke out the back and oil all on our undercarriage. Royal express trans & auto were mindful of our time and squeezed us on the day. Once fixed up, they were also considerate to recommend us next door to buy engine oil to save us money.
Stew took great care of us when our transmission went out on our road trip. He made sure we were fully informed of our options and taken care of even when he was out of the office. Ben got our new transmission installed as quickly as possible once it arrived. We really appreciate the honesty and understanding of our need for an urgent repair!
We weren't sure what to do when our transmission went out in our wheelchair van on the way to Arizona. The service and experience we had with Stew and his crew was amazing! They were so helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of and felt like a priority
Traveling through on our way to AZ. Our car lost power 15 miles outside of Panguich. We knew we needed immediate help. Called and asked if we could get in for a diagnosis and have the problem fixed. We putted into town and the owner helped us. An hour later we were on the road, full power. We were treated exceptionally well. The right place at the right time. It was miraculous.
The owner was so kind and helpful. We had a knocking sound under the rv. He is not an RV specialist but still took the time to come for a drive with me. He looked at it ans then referred me to someone who could fix it. This man was concerned by our situation and evidently wanted to help. He also fixed a code on our car and showed me what to do if it happens again.
If ever I come back to this area I will surely have any work done on my car here. I trust this man and I tell you I know honest people since I've been ripped off twice in other places and really appreciated his compassion towards us and our rv and car problems.
HE WILL LIE TO YOU AND RIP YOU OFF! I was driving out of town and stopped there to get something checked out in my car. He said something was SERIOUSLY wrong with my car and said he will replace a piece but I have to stay overnight because they have to order it. I didn’t trust him so I kept driving and stopped at another shop. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my car and they just had to connect something back. The guy there who I think is the owner (older guy, wears glasses) thinks he’s very good at manipulating people to make them believe he’s a good guy. Also, why is there a sign on the door that says you must wear a mask before entering when NO ONE in there wears a mask? He doesn’t respect your space or your fear of catching covid.
After spending a month in Phoenix I was driving my 97 Honda Civic back to Washington State when my car stopped wanting to go into gear. I assumed it was a bad cable so the clutch wouldn't engage. I didn't think I would even make it to salt lake city. Caught Stewart on his way out the door for the day and he took the time to look up the part, determined this car uses hydraulic instead of a cable. Showed me how the mechanism works, and where the hydraulic master was at. Of course it was empty, he filled it, and it began to work. He saved me a very LONG trip home without a clutch. He also wouldn't take my money. Great guy, treated me with professionalism even though I was just passing through on my way home. If I lived with in a 50 mile radius of this shop they would be my go to.
While on a cross country road trip, I began to notice an issue with my front left wheel. After stops at two other mechanics, I was told both times it was regular wear and tear and there was no safety issue. However things continued to get worse. Thankfully I was able to reach Stew at Royal Express. He took my concerns seriously and looked beyond the surface issues to discover a deteriorating wheel bearing - definitely a safety issue! He was able to order the part and get me back on the road in just over 24 hours. Very happy with the service I received at this shop.
I really wanted to like this place after reading the reviews. Made an appointment, as there is no mechanic in our neighboring town. Arrived at my appointment time, and was told by the guy working the front desk that “I won’t be able to get you in for 30 minutes. I have to eat lunch.”
Now, I don’t want anyone to go hungry, but this seems like poor time management. Why accept an appointment if you’re not going to be available as a business to offer your services at that time? I would have been happy to wait had they been running behind with prior appointments - but making a customer wait so you can eat, when they’ve schedule and made time out of their day, is not professional.
Hopefully this will serve as helpful feedback for the owner. I certainly would never want one of my employees to tell a customer they couldn’t be served at time of their appointment because they had to eat.
Royal Express is the only place I will take any of my vehicles to be serviced. They have the latest equipment and fix cars right the first time. Not to mention they are the fastest within at least a hundred miles. It's a small town so I will admit that I know the owner and he is a great guy. If you are traveling through they will be honest, fair, and get you back to your vacation as soon as possible. They stand behind their work too which for me is a big deal for me.
My old SUV broke down on the way to Bryce on Labor Day weekend. What could have been a really terrible situation ended up great once we got to Royal Express. A friendly tow truck driver took us there and they were able to fix my truck up perfectly! Martin even came in on his day off to make sure we were mobile for our vacation weekend. They were extremely prompt and very kind. Highly recommend!
Whether you're a local or traveling through and have Automotive issues don't even go anywhere else. The people are extremely friendly and helpful and go that extra mile to make sure that your vacation is interrupted as little as possible. They can fix anything here from a simple flat tire repair to a whole new engine and transmission all while doing it quickly and competently. I've lived here in town for many years and will not take my car anywhere else to get worked on.
The owner Stew took excellent care of us. While visiting on vacation our pickup started having overheating issues. Stew got us in right away and fixed the problem even though he was already super busy. To top it all off, he charged us less to fix the problem than a dealership would have charged just to diagnose it. Absolutely top notch shop with amazing service. If you're ever in the area and in need of auto care, I highly recommend this shop. Stew will take care of you!
