I have purchased parts from South Bountiful Auto a few times. One time I bought a gas tank from them to replace a gas tank on my van that had been punctured by an object on the road while driving home from California. The second was a replacement side view mirror. They had the exact match for my car and YouTube is perfect for the steps on how to replace things. I highly recommend them. Their website works really well to find the part you need.

Charge a ridiculous fee to restore took them 5 min to put on the car and charge me 50$
I called them and purchased the luggage racks from an Audi Q5 while on the way from southern Utah to Idaho (was going to give them as a gift). They hadn't yet pulled the racks when we got there but they hurried and pulled them while we waited. I really appreciated that and tipped the puller $20 for doing so. The first clue of a problem should have been that they had taken them all apart to get them off the car, so they brought them to me as a bunch of parts - no way for me to tell if everything was there. When I got to Idaho I cleaned everything up and put it all together - that's when I discovered it was missing one of the internal bolts, missing one of then end caps, and also missing the most important part: the keyed wrench to attach and detach it. I immediately contacted them and they said essentially, "We're sorry for the trouble, you can return within 90 days for a full refund." The real problem happened when I tried to return it. Bountiful is a couple of hours drive for me so I didn't have an opportunity to get back there until today. First they told me it was past the return period. I showed them that in fact it was still within 90 days. Then they said they couldn't take it back because the orange marks had been removed. What?!! They never said anything about not removing orange marks when I bought it. Frankly, I don't think there ever were any orange marks on it, since the puller came straight from the yard to my car so the part had not been inventoried. They claimed it's their company policy to not accept returns without the orange paint but it doesn't say anything about that on the receipt, nor on the company website, nor anywhere in the office that I could see. Just an excuse not to take it back, even though they said they would, and especially when they KNEW they gave it to me without critical parts >:( Live and learn
When I came to pick up the cross bars for a rook rack, I was unsure if they would fit. They came out and helped me get them on my car. While doing this he pointed out that a part on one of the side rails was broken. He then went back, got the side rail and included it in my purchase. I felt very taken care of and they helped me feel comfortable with what I was getting and making sure it’s what I wanted. I will definitely come back!
Great place for auto parts! Very professional and friendly staff. If they don't have the part there, they look state wide and then nation wide to get it shipped in as quickly as possible. It's your one stop shop. Very well organized and cataloged warehouse for quickly obtaining your parts. One of the most advanced wrecking yards I've ever seen. They can even tell you the bolt pattern for your rims and what crosses over to use from another vehicle. 💥 Boom! 💥 I was impressed!

South Bountiful is great to work with. Spoke to Tracy on the phone today, said they had the part I wanted, I asked to look at it and confirm not broken and matched my car. I drove over to look at it. Our deal was that if I wanted it, he would get my part removed when technicians were available, about 1/2-1 day later. I looked and approved. He took his time and tools to remove the part (Shifting mechanism) on the spot and handed it to me. Saved a trip and very reasonable prices. Thanks! I'd say everyone should go there, but then they might take the part I need.
I ordered a small part from them, they had it ready exactly at the time they said they would. Unfortunately the part I ordered did not work out as I ordered the incorrect specs on it. They were so nice to look around to see if they would find one that would work. When nothing turned up, they took the part back with no hesitation. They really know how to take care of their customers. I would definitely refer this place to others.
I was happy to find a wheel I needed here for a good price but they listed it as A condition 000 online and it wasn't. I drove over 5 hours to pickup because they said they wouldn't ship it to me and when I got back and cleaned the dirt off it needs repair for $165.00! I should've checked it they said they had 2 of them. Better luck next time I guess.
Got the parts I needed at a reasonable price
Bought a wheel from these guys yesterday and as I was inquiring about the rim the man on the phone explained that this rim came from the impact site one the wrecked car. He politely explained that while the rim rolled true, it may still be bent and recommend that for me to ask my tire place to place the rim on the balancing machine before placing my new tire on the rim. (Save both me and my tire guy time and money) The gentleman said if the rim didn’t run true, to return it and I’ll get a refund. As he and I suspected, the rim was bent. They returned it no questions. Their return policy said return would be on check form, but they were able to void transaction before the bank even processed it. Though, my part was a bust, ( happens from time to time) I will definitely return for any needs I may have. The three men I interacted with were patient, understood my concerns, upfront with the condition of the item I was buying, and were willing to bend over backwards to keep a customer happy. All with the happiest associates possible. This yard truly has a passion for what they do. Keep it up!
Thank you thank you guys I searched for a front sway bar for my dad's 2013 ram . Everybody was back ordered .got a tip these guys have it or can find .I called they went on a search in there yard an picked me the right part pulled it an called me . They saved me big .80.00 bucks for a part if I could find it was 799.00 thanks again ."all be back .
I went to go get a rear seat from them, I found it on car-part.com it was graded as an "A". I spent $30 in fuel. When I got there it was covered with stuff from pulling the engine and interior, it ripped the seat and was covered in grease. They leave them sitting out in the rain. I understand that they leave them outside but it definitely wasn't a grade "A" part, I should've realized this when every seat advertised is graded "A". They will tell you that they aren't responsible for grading parts, which might be true, I recommend that if you want to buy something from them getting pictures or a description first.
This is a very clean shop. They had what I needed and at a great price. I went in twice because I didn't know they pull the part for you. That wasn't a big deal, I went in the next day and got the part. I saved a lot of money. They were very helpful. I don't buy a lot of used parts but I needed a bumper cover and they had exactly what I needed. I could not be happier with the part and the service.
Have had about a 95% positive parts find. Pricing is reasonable and affordable. Excellent customer service. No waiting parts are ready for pick up at counter. No up chatge over price quoated on phone.
No personal checks, but they found and shipped in parts for my vehicle when they didn’t have them on site and the time frame was really short
I called by phone to order a part from DAVE. They pulled the part to ship to me waiting for payment. My billing and shipping address are both the same. They found out my address was a home address and then accused me of giving them false information that I claimed my address was a business. It is a business but a residential address. I offered to give them another address which is commercial. They declined. They decided to cancel my order on the grounds that I was lying to them and "not being truthful". THANKS DAVE. I will cross you off my list and never call you again.
We have had a good service with south bountiful. Ray dropped off a transmission for us today and it was a really pleasant experience. He was very helpful and a nice guy. Felt like leaving a review, even though I don’t do very many. Thanks ray!

I buy parts monthly for different vehicles I work on. Last one was a cadilac CTS dash pannel. Went above and beyond to find us the right RPO code correct controll board. I think they truly want to make their customers happy.
Would not ship to a consumer at a commercial address. I have never had an issue purchasing parts from other yards, dont waste your time if you can't physically go there. I was attempting to purchase a bottom seat cushion with cover. it was only the lower seat cover and cushion I was after not the whole seat. I was only told we don't ship seats, no other explanation as to the reason.
Came in late as the store was closing. Still got my part thanks to Tracy. Great customer service, highly recommended
I've been in the repair business for many years and have been using South Bountiful since even before that. Happy with the service and parts.
They make the parts so you can't use " by that cut the wiring harness so short they cant be used, or rekeyed " they also don't include the needed plug, plus charge a lot more then I can buy things i can use on ebay after tax and shipping ebay is still cheaper. Their comment back to a review only proves how bad they are, and shouldnt be trusted at all. Huge reason I had my mom return the 2008 F250 Super Duty Fuse box, there was 18 inches or wire plus a plug missing, so yes very unable parts from this place.
I am a mechanic, I bought a starter motor for a Honda from them for a whopping $40, they had graded it A grade on Hollander. I go to install it and the brush assembly is cracked Where the top post meets the innards of it. I took it back with all the paperwork inside the timeframe and they refused to give me the $40 saying that because I disassembled it it voided their warranty. It was the manager that sold me the part, refused the refund and probably gave out the A grading! Completely absurd but it makes for a good story I tell all the other automotive shops when I go to them.
Ordered part that was defective. They wanted me to pay shipping back to them for the bad part. Do not recommend ordering parts from them and having them shipped.
We needed a replacement SUV wheel after a slide off on ice. We called several places that couldn't match it but another shop found it at S. Bountiful. We called and were told it was available, drove up, walked in, and left with the wheel at a good price in about 10 min. Couldn't ask for more!!
Called for a specific part...got there and it was ready for me...took ot to my vehicle...very satisfied.
