I've always felt like this was a great place until I took a load the other day. I pulled my Harbor freight trailer with 1400 pounds on it with my diesel pickup which has a shell on it with some heavy items in the bed and because my gross weight was 10,260 total I paid the first $10 to get in and had to weigh coming out and they charged me another $22 so $32 total. If I'd towed the same trailer with my wife's Tacoma, it would have only cost the normal $10. That's just wrong. We've never even put a hitch in the receiver on her new truck, but I guess I'll have to next time. Shouldn't be based on tow vehicle weight.
Went to Wasatch waste facility with my truck had everything contained in bags and had cardboard broke down and strapped down covering and no loose items and they charged me a $10 extra fee for not having a covered load even though the boxes were broke down and strapped down covering my load
I recently visited this facility to dispose of a single hope chest. To my surprise, I was charged an unsecured load fee, even though the item in question was solid and had zero risk of blowing out or causing any hazard. It seems unreasonable to charge this fee across the board, without considering whether the load actually poses a risk. This kind of blanket policy feels like a money grab.
This is a review for the compost only. I purchased a full truckbed of compost for a vegetable garden. The compost had pieces of plastic, Styrofoam and other bits of trash throughout. I found a full plastic water bottle and small pieces of wire in it. Not safe to use in garden beds.
Had 998 lbs on a small single axle aluminum trailer. Instead of charging me the flat rate of $10 they charged me by the ton because I towed the trailer with a diesel pickup and weighed in over 10,000 lbs when I first weighed. So make sure you pull your trailer with your Corolla the next time you go in there so you don’t get charged more.
It was $21 instead of $10, which the price isn’t the issue. The issue is the shady way in which the price is determined.
We’ve probably taken 12 loads over the last year during our remodel. I’ve even come in here 2 minutes before they closed and I’ve gotten in. This place is great.
Incredibly grateful they offer mixed recycling drop off for free. Large white bins at main building. Wish my city did. Remember no bags, just dump them out at recycling center. Bags and plastic wrapping to grocery store recycling drop off boxes.
Pretty well organized, usually clean overall. Some of the staff have everyone park/backup too close at times - especially for people who don’t know how to backup a trailer lol. Sometimes it’s better to give others room to unload quicker. But I like this dump way more than others here in Utah.
Very organized and clean, considering it's a dump. We were in the green area getting rid of the wind damage of our fallen trees. No fee because of the wind damage and so much clean up. Thanks for that!
Horrible company to deal with. Had a construction build delayed and I canceled, they kept billing our card on file even though we cancelled our account and auto pay. They weren’t even coming and dumping but still billing us. Ridiculous! DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS!
