I have recently found out about the removal Ned the Alien's grave marker. I find it distasteful to remove a a part of Texas's history , as I remember visiting the grave as a kid, as many others have. His grave was a cultural landmark and a pivotal reason to visit Aurora TX. I do not understand the reason for removing the grave.
Disgraceful that Aurora Cemetery removed the grave marker of Ned the Alien! Whether you believe this legendary piece of Texas UFO lore or not, his grave was a cultural landmark. Shame on them for burying history instead of preserving it.

The word is that the Masonic Lodge at Boyd, Texas has minutes of the Aurora, Texas UFO crash of April 17, 1897 as the lodge use to be at the Aurora Cemetery before being moved to Boyd. 🛸 👽- "Ned"
My husband and I are true believers in aliens and the extraterrestrial community. Speaking from personal experiences, they are already among us. There's only so much the government can cover up. Texas loves Ned👽🛸🖖🏻
Little 7 year old me first read about this place in a flying saucer comic book in the late 60s that I bought at the PX on Chicksands RAF base in southern England, where my dad was stationed during his USAF career. I've been living about 20-30 miles away from it for about 40 years now and have visited a couple times. Funny how things work out...
I come here sometimes to think. We are born to die. What are we supposed to be doing with the time we have? Love brings us all into the world. We should maximize the love we receive and give throughout our lives.
At Least give it the old college try. It’s in the dead too. Sitting here in silence amongst them, I feel their love. Its their gift in death to the living.

On our way to Alaska and we plotted a number of weird/interesting sites to see. We had just stopped at the Petrified Gas Station in Decatur and had a great lunch at Whistle Stop Cafe. This was only 16miles away, so we headed over to explore. My beautiful and extremely smart wife spotted the rock immediately. It was worth the detour - even if it's just folk lore it's cool.
Not much to see if you're only interested in the alien, but a curious novelty for sure. The rock is now by the exit, near a tree and the trash/recycling bins (as of June 2024).
Be careful when getting back onto the main road nearby--tons of 18 wheelers flying by in both directions. Also, heads up if wearing flip flops or walking a dog: There are a lot of sand spurs/stickers growing in the area.
A stunningly beautiful little local cemetery. Yes, there is the alien thing as an attraction, but I was moved by some of the headstones and the history. On top of that some of the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen.
The Legendary UFO 🛸 crash on April 16th, 1897, is what draws me here. The debunkers have been debunked. This little man was buried before the Wright brothers first flight, and the incident was well before Roswell.. Use your own critical thinking skills.. You decide.
Like others, I mainly came here to check out the alien's supposed grave. I decided to make a motorcycle day trip out of it and wandered around the cemetery a bit. What made more of an impact on me than the alien's grave was the grave of Ricky Linn Youngblood who, from what I can tell, was killed while riding his motorcycle. The headstone caught my attention due to the writing on the back and I was glad that I stopped to read it - rest in peace dude and everyone ride safe.
Quick lil road trip out to here, its nice and peaceful, as it should be. But...we all kno why people come to this particular one!!! The EBE that's supposedly buried somewhere around. Only found a big rock as a marker, I guess. Sooo whatever creature, alien or demon is there or not...this pic is it. Plus what about its ship that crashed...yeah, think about it!!!
Nice country cemetery. Father-in-law wanted to visit, so we stopped. Found Loreta the Bird marker, which is on the right (south) side about 100 yards down the south entrance. It's a small stone, only about 10 inches high. (GPS around 33.052613, -97.499980).
Our team visited the cemetery and successfully detected particle decay chains consistent with isotopes of element 115 decaying to isotopes of dubnium. We also identified X-ray emissions from the decay chain. Samples were taken near and around the hooked tree however the presence of Moscovium seemed to be scattered evenly over the entire area.
Came 1000 light years to visit cousin Bob who sadly perished here in earth year 1897. Silly sod was blind as a Tiberian bat and flew his ship into a windmill. Nice place, folk are a bit odd. I think they're all related and married to each other.
Peaceful place, aside from the occasional gunshot in the distance. This is Texas, after all. I came here specifically to the the Alien Plaque and ended up walking around for an hour or so. Beautiful place full of history.
Never wrote a rec for a cemetery, but here we are. Yes, drive here specifically to see the plaque for the supposed buried alien pilot. Not to far off the highway and totally worth it.
