The recycling center It is one of the best ones we have used and the people working there were all courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. Very happy it is available to Round Rock.

This place is amazing! Drop off brush (must be a resident with a water bill), pick up mulch. Takes cardboard and most household waste. The Styrofoam is limited to the flaked kind so, no meat packaging. Highly recommend!

I recycle frequently at this location. They take most everything. Paint, motor oil, antifreeze, yard debris, card board, paper, appliances, etc. they also provide free mulch for round rock residents. Make sure you bring your license

Had some old paint, fertilizer, herbicides, pesticides in the garage that the former owners of my house left behind. Read that I really should not put any of it in the normal trash somewhere or other. Went at a special time where it was free for residents of Round Rock, presented a utility bill and my driver's license to the nice gentleman who asked, and he just unloaded all the hazardous waste stuff from my car right away and that was that. The guy answered the questions I had, and he couldn't have been more helpful. Just make sure you understand all the relevant rules before you go, and try to go at a time where it's free of course.

It’s not a good place wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking to dump branches, it’s more for local people from Round Rock. You have to show prove that you live in round rock like a water bill or energy bill. Service was bad and wasn’t worth it. I would definitely not go if your not from Round Rock

These guys are awesome and what they do at the recycling center makes life great in Round Rock. You can take appliances, card board, motor oil, brush, paint and probably some other stuff I am forgetting. It's all free if you pay a Round Rock water bill. The folks are friendly and make it easy.

One of the best programs I’ve seen. Very attentive staff. I am glad recycling is encouraged.

People working there are super rude and the hours to recycle certain things are weird. Wish it wasn't such as hassle to properly discard items like paint and metal.

Terrible service all around . Driving is HORRIBLE, gonna kill and run over someone. These people probably don't even have a driver's license the driving is so bad I don't know how they could possibly get the job. Y'all need to be testing your drivers. The driving is terrible with the trash people

After hearing so many “false “ claims that our recycling doesn’t really get recycled, I decided to find out for myself. I learned that my Round Rock, Hutto and Taylor’s recycling goes to Balcones Recycling Center in Taylor. I called and spoke to Juan who said that I could come in and take a tour. I made an appointment and saw with my own eyes that my recycling DOES get recycled. Cody gave me a tour and was very informative. He answered all of my questions. Juan and Cody are great and very helpful. I encourage any one who would like to see the center to call and make an appointment. I’m so glad I did!

Came today to drop off brushes and guy asked me for my ID I showed him and it said RoundRock after that he asked me for a water bill. Like if my ID wasn’t enough for them to believe me. He also said it wasn’t a business to drop off brushes coming from my house. I told him straight up how can you charge if your saying it’s not a business.

Staff is very helpful and friendly. Answered my questions about batteries recycling (they only take rechargeables). Best Buy take others (2 & 3A's,C,D). Took counter top convection oven. They cans, bottles, unbroken glass, paper, plastic, cardboard, some metal , grills some appliances. They have staff answering questions on the phone.

People are friendly and very willing to help. I paid my $10 and they loaded up my trailer with mulch. One big scoop!

Great experience here; the gentleman that helped me out was super friendly and helpful, and I was in and out (to drop a truck bed full of brush) in about 5 mins. It’s great that it’s free for residents of RR. Will definitely be returning.

Nice to have this facility but their limit on 5 gallons of oil is not convenient. When I change the oil in our 5 vehicles, I have to make 2 trips over 2 different days.

They're so nice here!! I've brought some large cardboard for recycling and they let me pull right up to the station so I can easily drop it all off to be compacted and recycled. I love that I can tarp my car and load up as much mulch as I can shovel myself. After the ice storm cleanup, it's been nice to get all that hardwood back for free to sort of return the nutrients to the soil as would happen in nature, and keep weeds at bay.

I have been recycling my brushes here for years from my home. Suddenly I no longer can recycle here because I have Austin Address. I had to pay the fee in the past, which was fine. I live a few blocks away from the Round Rock border and my kids go to Round Rock School District. It's such a shame and I was extremely disappointed.

Came 5.50pm with some cardboard and boxes, no plastic, staples or foam. Dude didn’t take it said “ I am not paid for overtime” and he would need to cut it to fit in compactor. He could have just taken it and cut tomorrow but instead refused it and ask me to bring it already cut. I work to 6pm as well and try to leave early to drop this off. You either take cardboard and open until 6 or you don’t.

Easy access, gentleman there was very helpful when I had a question. Be aware that non Round Rock residents have to pay a fee to recycle hazardous materials like paints etc.

Plastics with recycle number on it can be placed in the assigned bins. Site attendance are super helpful. The site also takes eggs cartons, metal, aluminum, used oil, papers, corrugated boxes, car batteries, and tree/brush cuttings. No glass accepted. CFL and fluorescent bulb contains mercury so please do not throw them in dumpster but home Depot can take them to properly dispose of. Deepwwod recycling center is open to Round Rock residents. We can do our part to recycle for a better environment.

Helpful staff, quickly verified residency with water bill. Self service mulch was quick, backed truck up to pile and pushed mulch in. Bring pitchfork, much better than shovels.

Recycling is super simple here. With every area clearly labeled to let you know where each type of recyclable goes. They even have a portapotty there incase you are there for a while. Don't forget to Reduce and Reuse before Recycling!

Great place to recycle! I got some free paints, firewood and compost. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Thanks!!!

The staff makes you feel like a criminal every time you are dropping off anything except cardboard but they do reluctantly take all of the things that the website says they will take so far. This review also applies to the brush recycling where dealing with the staff is difficult just about every single time. Most of the time if I have a big load of brush I just pay the $25 to have the city pick it up rather than deal with the people there.

The first time you visit, it's confusing especially if you don't see the attendants there. We ended up in the tree and mulch section, but turned around and found the people. They were very friendly and helped direct us to where we had to go. Most things are labeled so it's not too difficult, you just have to know where to look.

Free mulch for residents. Just bring your water bill & drivers license. Friendly staff checks you in at entrance. I believe its $10 if you want them to give you a scoop (dozer scoop) i. The back of your truck or trailer. If not you just pull up to a mulch pile and start shoveling what you need.

I drop off stuff all the time since I frequently pass by on 620 and my neighborhood recycling only has pickup every other week. They don't generally accept glass so I save that for my neighborhood pickup. It is convenient for disposing of automotive related fluids. Just keep your coolant separate from your oil based products (e.g. oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid). I live in Brushy Creek, not Round Rock. No one seems to care unless you want to take advantage of the brush recycling, or monthly hazardous waste drop off. For brush recycling, including either brush drop off or mulch pickup, there is a small fee for non Round Rock residents. For hazardous waste drop off, if you are a resident of the Brushy Creek MUD you can get a voucher from the MUD office.

So great! RR Recycling had so many moving boxes, all were still in great shape. Will be donating my moving boxes back here after my move. Yay for reducing waste! Keep up this great service, city of Round Rock.

Recycling center that takes most items. Their website is frequently out of date on what they take, in particular for electronics and batteries. Sometimes they will take these items and other times not. For residents of the city, you can also pick up free mulch, and there is a reuse building that has a variety of chemicals that others turned in but are still in good shape. They only accept hazardous chemicals on certain weekends of the year, but they always have used oil recycling.
