Fine place to recycle. But be aware if you show up around lunch time. The hours say 7am-5pm but there's no listing on the sign that they lock the gate to eat lunch. I was told before that their lunch was 12:30-1. The guy here now said he takes lunch 12-1.

They close for an hour for lunch noon to 1pm. This isn't listed on the hours on the web or on the sign - which is incredibly annoying.

The RECYCLING center is FREE. I had 6 gallons of paint, in original, labeled cans. Drove thru, unloaded. Easy. Feels good to keep this out of the landfill. Cody was helpful and cheerful.

Best to drop off card boards, soda cans and papers. They don’t accept TV or monitors. And they are out for lunch between 12 to 1pm.

Lots of parking. Very helpful staff. I rode there on my motorcycle to drop off used oil. They will not accept the container it's in. One must pour the oil into a tank then take your container back with you. I wouldn't say the area for oil recycling is wheelchair friendly.

Went to take cardboard boxes to recycle they refused and told me to take it to landfill due to me being in a company vehicle I even offered to pay I guess waste management doesn’t care about recycling

Since my apartment complex doesn't offer recycling (don't get me started:/), it's nice to have this drop-off center. And they have a cat -- bonus!

Got in line at 3:57. Pulled onto scale at 4:02. Was told after an hour drive 8 couldn't unload, maybe 10 mins of hand unloading, that I had to come back. This is not cool with gas prices this high, and no where on the Google time or page they have a 4 o'clock cut off, and I was in line before 4!

Great place, friendly and knowledgeable people working there, answered all of my questions and took my plastic off my hands

Was going to do some recycling, however they have been recently posted as of this review 30.06 & 30.07 prohibiting the licensed carry of handguns on their property. Looks like I'll go somewhere else or just not recycle.

I have used the recycling center many times and have always had outstanding service from the staff. Note: The Recycling Center is at the entrance to the landfill, not in the landfill site as depicted on Google Maps.

I've never had a problem with anyone at this Recycling Center. They are all very nice. Only issue I have is no one ever answers the phone, so I wind up making a 30 mile one way drive trusting they are open when I get there. As for other reviewers posting they are paying alot to drop off things, you're talking about the landfill, not the recycling center that is outside the landfill.

Due to mud after 3 days no rain, they were only letting in 4 wheel drive vehicles and after waiting about an hour we finally got somebody in a four wheel drive truck to help pull us in and then immedatly they let all the two wheel drive trucks go in after us! We paid $60.00 to the other driver that helped us. Thank you Matt with High Haul Austin!

Okay, the staff at the front gate here are very good people. Now that that's clear and out of the way, let me just say, that this place is a disaster. Their entrance and drop-off procedures are the epitome of stupid. And their fees are completely unreasonable and detached from the actual level of service offered here. If I am going to pay $35 a ton to drop-off (including your vehicle!) then I expect to have my shoes shined while I sit in my air-conditioned vehicle cab and someone unloads my garbage for me and puts them in the proper receptacle. Not to mention the absurdity of the entire enterprise, and the long-term damage it does to the environment. What a nightmare.

There is a small and quiet recycling center. But, to recycle a freezer, you have to spend 40 minutes in line with the trash trucks, the dump trunks, and other vehicles going to the dump to pay the recycling fee before you can drop off the freezer. What a terrible process.
