Welp- we went from a little strange noise to let’s get a transmission within 6 hours. That’s okay- Steve was great. He test drove my vehicle, gave me an assessment, estimate and then speedily rebuilt my transmission to get the silver queen, my 2018 GMC Yukon, back in the road. I can’t say I’m happy about spending money on a transmission, BUT I can say I’m happy to have done business at Steve’s. He’s a good guy and even allowed me to give him a hard time. Don’t think twice- go here!
Our trucks transmission went out on a road trip from Texas to Colorado. We were blessed that it went out in Wichita Falls and we were directed to Steve. Steve saved our family that day. He even went out of his way to drop my husband off at the hotel we were stuck at after my husband brought him out truck. That also meant him coming to pick my husband back to up to get back to our repaired truck. Steve and staff worked diligently on our truck and made the repairs faster than anyone could expect because he knew we had 3 young children at a hotel that were trying to get to their grandparents for Christmas. Steve is a wonderful, amazing human being and an awesome mechanic. He was nothing short of a miracle for our family. Steven took a rough situation and made it smooth. 2 months later and our truck is running like new!
First vehicle was promptly repaired and runs great. Picked it up and left another. Went back a month later and picked up second. Nothing was ever done and they still don't know its gone. Great work if you can get it done
100 stars plus. My Transmission went out, they came to my house picked it up, took it in and fixed my transmission quickly. My vehicle runs so smoothly now. Steve and his Mechanics are very friendly and honest.
This man and his staff will not overcharge you. I can not say enough.

This should have been posted a couple months back, but with my health it’s hard for me to remember things. I will never forget Steves Transmission tho I hope lol

First part of November I had Steves haul my van to their shop. I was not told they were 1 month behind when I called for the wrecker but after it got there he said he would work it in because I explained I was disabled and it was my only vehicle. Nov.23, he said he fixed my van, we paid, had to immediatley turn around and take it back because it would not shift right, money was out of my account within the hour (1485.15) and that was 11-23-21. It is now 1-2-22 and dispite uncountable phone calls that no one answers so you leave a message, I have received one call back and that was because I said I'd had enough and wanted my money back and I would have a wrecker come get my vehicle. He called back 3 days later, said he would have my van done Thurs of that week. That was now 2 weeks and 3 days ago and again no van. I have always recommended Steves. NEVER again. I am going to file a complaint with the BBB. If I had the money to pay again I would just go get it and take it to the shop my Dad took his to. His was there 4 days, Transmission was rebuilt, runs great, has a warranty and only cost 1050.00. It is now the 1-10-22 and my van is STILL not done. He has again called and lied about when it would be done. I have been forced to make an appointment with an attorney. I will continue to add to this review as time goes on. It is now 1-25-22 and my van is still not done. Another phone call...another lie about the completion date. This time he is "waiting on parts". First time this has been mentioned. Should have read the yelp reviews...not good. It is now 2-5-22 and I still do not have my van.
Steve had my truck picked up the day I called him. He is very very busy, which tells me he is good. Did very good work, two weeks after picking up my truck, driving great, able to pull my trailer no problems. Great guy, great prices, great quality. Highly recommend.
If you want quality work take it to Steve's Transmission, Steve also takes time out of his busy schedule to explain, show me what is going on with my vehicle's, repairing the transmission & even just give me good advice he is truly a good man. Awesome job 2017 silverado transmission working great.
Above and beyond anything I could've hoped for. Picked me and my family up off the side of the highway. Even let me keep my 2 labs in his back yard while we waited. Terrific guy.

The repair went super smooth Steve's transmission the best transmission shop around if you're in the greater Wichita Falls area this is the place to get your transmission repaired. Friendly staff great service. Truck running smooth.
My mom drop her car off on the 4th and finally got it back on the 28th took about a week and a half just for them to test drive it then one excuse after another til it was done very poor service from him this time lot different service than what he did in 99
Steve was very upfront and honest with us. It's easy to pull the wool over someone's eyes when it comes to a transmission. Steve took the time to explain the problem and even tested it while we watched. Very happy with his service!
Absolutely the best, and the folks working there are great the owner Steve is hands on he works very and still builds the transmissions with his team . He has the best transmission shop in the state of Texas and my opinion the best in the nation.
