Like others reported - would rate zero if it were an option. Scheduled an apt 10 days out but surprisingly - they told me at end of the day - “he” didn’t have a chance to look at it. What made matters worse was attitude of lady running place - why are you unhappy you scheduled an apt but don’t understand we didn’t have time to get to yours. Like it was someone else’s fault. Do yourself a favor - take your business elsewhere.
They did an excellent job on my Ford F150. I kept getting a code p2099. They took it apart, found the issue and gave me a call.
Needless to say I made it all the way to Missouri without a check engine light, and able to haul the horses 400 miles. If ever I need work done, and in Wichita they will be the only ones to touch my truck! Everyone was wonderful there! Thank you guys!!
Great work on all my vehicles and a good reasonable price. And they have an awesome staff..I recommend there service to everyone, there honest and reliable...
On one hand I don't want to write this review, because that means more people will discover one of the best kept automotive repair secrets in town, and I might not be able to get in and out so fast the next time I need to get one of my cars fixed ...
But on the other hand, Jason and his team deserve it.
The process of finding a good place to fix your car is the worst ...
But thanks to SWA I never have to go through that again. They're tremendously knowledgeable, honest, and fast.

I love the people at Southwest Automotive! Shawna is always friendly and works on getting you in as soon as possible. Her husband is a great mechanic and always explains things to me so I understand without feeling stupid.
I have used them a number times over they years. The work is always completed with the highest quality. They do not perform services that are not needed. As an example, I recently had my vehicle in to get an oil leak repaired and ask that they check the struts. They resolved the oil leak and called to tell me that the struts were not leaking or locked up. Jason said he did not think it would worth the cost to replace them as it may appreciably improve the ride. Most places would have just changed them out without hesitation since I mention I wanted them looked at. This not the first time I have had that experience.
I called regarding a quote. I was told I’d get a call back, I never got the call back. I proceeded to reach out a week later and was told a whopping $7000 for a 2010 Charger. I get it parts are expensive, but $7000. Every other shop in town has been half that. I’m not here to complain about price though, cause you get what you pay for . I’m here to voice my optinon on the Customer service skills.
1. I was told I’d be called back and never recieved a call back.
2. The lady told me it would be $7000 and she didn’t know exactly why, transmisson is $4500, labor $800 towing and programming $350. Doesn’t add up to $7000.
3. The knowledge of the lady I spoke to was very little, she didn’t know if my car even needed to be programmed or anything else. It was “I don’t know what it’ll need, but it may need to be towed to the dealer and programmed and all else.” She was no help.
I’ll end up talking to another mechanic, preferably one who knows what they’re doing & talking about.

Had to put in a review as I really appreciated their service. First visit, and they are really friendly and competent folks. Had issues with my Honda van, they diagnosed the problems and fixed it, now it runs so smoothly and I am happy as a clam. Thank you Jason, Shawna and team, appreciate the work and service y'all!
Had to have my car towed as we were traveling through Wichita Falls. Jason and Shauna do an honest business. Jason did have to order a part out of Lubbock and since we were in the middle of an ice storm I wasn't sure when he would get the part. Jason went an hour away to go get the part plus dealing with the icy roads. He got it put in and since I had no transportation to get back to his shop in very cold and wintry temperatures he came and picked me up.

Great family owned business! Very easy to work with, diagnosis was straight to the point when the issues were found. Complete rear end rebuild, brakes and turned rotors, done in a very reasonable time frame, explanation of work completed. They got my business for car and truck related issues!
Fast professional work, great turn-around time, and fair pricing for the work done. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend - they fixed our GMC Acadia right up!
Don’t need a lot of auto repairs so I didn’t know where to go. First one said they were booked for the next 3 weeks.
Called SW. Very friendly and asked the right questions. Told me to bring my Hummer in and they would fix it. 2 hours later called and explained what they had done to solve my problem.
When I picked it up the mechanic told me the details on parts used and told me to return if any problems.
Courteous and I believe honest people.
Only dropped my car off so far, so I'll update this after service is done.
Receptionist was very friendly and said I could drop my car off the same day and they'll look at it. Other shops I talked to said at least 4 days to 3 weeks just to look at it for ac repair.
Update: so car was dropped off about 730am Thursday. By 10am, they had diagnosed the problem, called me to inform me and get my consent to continue repairs with his quote as well as an addition small repair I asked for. By Friday 830am, my car was fixed and ready to go. Incredible. Quote was exact, everyone was professional and clean. I will definitely come back to this shop in the future
I have been coming to this repair shop for a while now. I can always count on them to provide with good service at a fair price. They have always been on time with my vehicle as well. I also like that they do the job right and use top quality components. I have and will continue to come back here for my vehicle service needs.
One gripe, I just about pass this place every time. It's tucked back behind the other buildings and the sign is not prominent.
Danny at Southwest is the best!! Extremely good at what he does and charges a very fair price ! I won’t take my vehicle to anyone else ! If I could give 10 stars I would .
I took my Van into SW and Danny found the problem (Rats) fixed it as well as another wiring problem I had not even mentioned and I got my van back in a couple of days and at a reasonable price! Try them! Give them your business! I’ll bet you’ll be happy!
Horrible customer service. As soon as I walked into the store, I was greeted with an eye roll by a man with a stick so far up his bum I could see it in his throat. Please work on treating your customers like human beings.
Made an appt a week out, showed up 30min early and was told they’re we’re nine cars ahead of me and he wouldn’t be able to get to me that day. Went to Mr. Macs Automotive instead. Got me in same day and performed a free inspection. Wish zero stars was an option.
My son's truck had 79000 miles on it. We believed the breaks needed to be changed. They could have taken advantage of us but found the roters just needed to be turned and this fixed the problem. Very much appreciate their work and honesty. Thank you guys
Great service on multiple occasions, this past visit I had hesitation on acceleration and a check engine light on. My vehicle, was seen, diagnosed and fixed in the same day for a reasonable rate. Thanks Southwest Auto !
Super helpful and nice. Dealership told me that all kinds of things were leaking on my car probably costing $2,000+. Took it here for a second opinion, fixed simple gasket leak for $150.
The owner said my vehicle needed an entire new engine and it would cost $3600. A few weeks later he said the cost was $4600 with no explanation why.
I took my vehicle to another mechanic who said all I needed was a radiator and a couple heads replaced for $1800-$2400 depending on how bad the heads were.
Southwest Automotive tried to rip me off and wasn't even subtle about it.
