Decent service, fixed the AC we went in for. Same day service on a saturday. Techs need to put protective material down on seats & floormats as they got grease on our tan carpet floormats.
Staff and mascot (a little cute Chihuahua) that at first I thought was some type of signage at the door, have been exceptionally great and helpful answering all my questions, I was needing a full 4 wheel thrust alignment after purchasing 4 Brand New tires, well unexpectedly somehow my axle shaft assembly and inner tie rod end had gotten damaged during the past 5 years. The intake lady or service advisor explained everything to me explained various financing even one with no credit check, although this fix will set me back, I've got to manipulate my financing and move funds around. I'll be all set to bring the car back Monday to complete these repairs and get the alignment
I do recommend them for the excellent service, and professional staff. Now grant you this isn't the cheapest however, for getting work done correctly standing behind the work performed friendly staff it's worth the extra $20 dollar (sometimes more), as it provides me peace of mind trustworthy in their workmanship, I avoid additional stress, and anxiety.
Took my truck in for a water pump replacement. Service tech tells me, my transmission cooler is leaking and I would need a new radiator too. It wasn't leaking until the tech bent the port on the quick connection. They will break things and ask you to pay for it.
Excellent service. Took in my vehicle short notice and had it fixed the next day. Sway behind the counter even drove me to the nearest rental location. Highly recommended.
This Saturday I took my car down there to just check the loud noise that coming from my car.first I was not advised of a diagnostic fee at front desk and was charged $141a full hour of labor on top of it all just to be told they didn’t find anything! I have an extended warranty that I told them about also. Worst service ever!!! I feel robbed would not recommend to anyone.
I had an excellent experience at North Texas Auto Service! They got me in quickly and resolved the issue with my truck perfectly. What really stood out was John's customer service. He took the time to come out, sit down with me, and explain exactly what was going on with my truck. It made all the difference knowing that my vehicle was in good hands. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for honest and reliable auto service! Gwinny was just an added bonus!
NEVER AGAIN!! Every time we have brought our truck in, they have messed up the repair! Got new brakes and struts, but they forgot to put the castle nut back on the tie rod. The tie rod popped out while we were driving!!
Then we gave them another chance, and brought the truck to get the blower motor replaced. Guess what just broke - less than a year after we got it.
If you like wasting money and having to bring your car back repeatedly, this is the place for you. (The customer service is fine, but the quality of work is abysmal!)
We called first and were told we didn't need an appointment for a vehicle inspection, were there 1/2 hour later and then told they couldn't do it. Made an appointment for the next day, then waited an hour before they started. When they got around to installing the 4 new tires we purchased, they forgot to do the free alignment and told me I had to come back the next day for that. Another long wait. We've trusted Good Year for decades in IL, and their products and services are usually great, but this place seemed constantly overbooked.
We had trouble with the struts on our vehicle. We called and they were able to service it the same day. Very friendly and professional service. They exceeded my expectations.
I would recommend their shop to anyone.
Called this morning (on Memorial Day) to get all new tires on my horse trailer! Gwen was awesome … they were installing new tires within 30 minutes of my call. Thankful for the prompt and efficient service and that Goodyear had the tires in stock so we could make our trip same day! Would highly recommend!!
On my way from DFW to Oklahoma, my car began showing system issues. Thankfully North Texas Auto Service was open late on a Saturday afternoon and I took it here at Wichita Falls to have it looked at.
I was helped by Gwen Crowder and Tony Johnson who were extraordinarily kind and helpful. Not only did they return the car shortly after leaving it, they also advised me on the needed repairs I'll have to eventually tend to.

The folks at North Texas Auto Service were so helpful when my car broke down while trying to travel back home to Dallas from Wichita Falls. It was late in the afternoon on a Saturday and Gwen answered my call, got my car in right away, and the mechanics were so fast that I was able to get home same day. Gwen and the crew were professional and quick and made what could have been a terrible experience a really pleasant one.
Amazing service and staff! I came to get a 30 point inspection on my vehicle before purchasing it and it was free! They also do free inspections on your vehicle before going out of town, to make sure you’re safe on the road. I will definitely be back!
The staff is wonderful and very sweet. Shoutout to Gwen who gave me a call every time there was an update to give. She also drove me to a local autozone because my car would not drive. My only complaint is that a part for my car came in late, making my car stay in the shop a little longer than I had initially hoped it would be. I’m sure it was not their fault and they did the best they could to keep a clear line of communication so I could plan the pick up properly. (My car broke down 3 hours from my home and they were the nearest shop, so in order to pick it up I was coming from dallas)
I was driving through coming across the country and my car started to make a noise which sounded like a bad wheel bearing. I called and they were able to get me in within two hours. They took the time to do a complete diagnostic on my car and found there was nothing wrong, thank god. They were very helpful and kind and it definitely gave me peace of mind to get back on the road. I highly recommend this shop!

Tried to rip me off.
I don’t really understand this company. I came in for a tire alignment, was told my top and bottom control arm and bearings needed to be replaced, so they couldn’t do the alignment. Was given a nearly $2,000 quote. I declined service and took my truck to 2 other shops for opinions, as quoted from the other shops “your control arms look fantastic, I am not sure why they quoted replacement on any bearings or arms, there isn’t any rust or cracks on any arms nor are the bearings leaking or cracked” the other shops actually SHOWED me, this company that tried to rip me off would not.
I grew up doing mechanical work with my father and don’t have time or tools for alignments, so good job trying to rip off someone who has more knowledge than a normal consumer.
Not all mechanic shops are bad, but one bad apple can ruin the tree for others. Be better.
Added a photo of the quote. I also added my actual alignment I had performed at another shop to prove I had the work performed and achieved successfully. You can’t align a vehicle with bad bearings or control arms.
This place is really great about helping you when small issues come up for your vehicle. I came in to get my car checked out because of a check engine light and walked out with my back tail light fixed, check engine light fixed, and state inspection done for $7. I was so happy and impressed!
BEWARE! I came here on 5 Feb 24 and asked for a tire patch and secure my exhaust which was loose. The tire had a slow leak, I had to put air in it about once every week and a half. They fit me in quickly, which I appreciated, but that was the only good part of my experience. I was told they couldn’t fix the exhaust, I need to go to a muffler shop for that..no problem. I was told it would be $130 for the tire and inspection which I did not ask for, nor did they tell me they were going to do a full vehicle inspection before taking possession of my truck. I scheduled the other work they suggested (which I am definitely not having this shop perform now) so they didn’t charge me the inspection fee and I paid about $30 for a tire leak repair. I got in the truck and the tire pressure of the tire they “fixed” was a bit low, but only a couple psi so I didn’t think anything of it. I went to a muffler shop, had the exhaust fixed and when I got back in the truck, the repaired tire pressure was at 8 psi. I immediately pulled over to put air in the tire with my air compressor but you could hear it actively leaking out. I headed straight to North Texas Auto and they “repaired” the tire once again. The following day, 6 Feb 24, the tire exploded while I was on the interstate, causing damage to my fender. I called the shop and talked with the assistant manager who told me there were 3 nails in the tire. Ok, I am not disputing that, but if the tire wasn’t safe to fix, why did you do it and take my money? She said the manager wasn’t there but would call me back. I got no phone call from the manager, not even to see how I was doing when the tire they worked on blew up and damaged my truck.
The General Manager reached out to me on 7 Feb 24. I submitted a claim through Goodyear and I haven’t heard squat for 6 weeks. I contacted a claims rep at Goodyear on 15 Mar 24 and they still haven’t received the tire and is dragging their feet on my claim.
Avoid the headache. Go to Discount Tire across the street if you need tires or a different shop if you need work done. Avoid this place.
Great service and good folks. I took my pickup in for a new set of tires. When taking my truck out, it blew a break line. I was 60 miles from home, they offered me a ride to a hotel, they found the part, had it overnighted from Oklahoma City, had the lines repaired by noon the next day. Pricing was very fair. These folks went above & beyond to take care of me….oh, my 23 year old truck rides nice on the new Wranglers.
I wanted to add a quick follow-up review. After six months, the Goodyear Wranglers have been great tires and the alignment still runs straight down the road. I took my truck in and received a free tire rotation a few days ago with only a short wait. I continue to be happy with the service and highly recommend North Texas Auto.
I needed them to check for a leak, and were able to get me in quick. They ended up not just checking for the leak source as I had asked, and performed an inspection on the entire car. This allowed them to charge me a full inspection fee, and they were not up front about the pricing for the inspection.

I Came for an Alignment and asked them to check what was making my engine light come on and When I agreed to come back for them to replace a valve the next day, they charged me for the labor + part right then with the alignment I had done that day. When I came the following day they called me to say they ordered the wrong sized part and it would be an additional $108 for the new part. At this point I’ve paid $200 for the original valve, and $238 for 1.7 hours in labor that they charged me for before the service?. So I asked for a refund because I felt like this shouldn’t be a $600 job to replace a heater control valve. When I left I looked up the part number listed on my invoice (TA9002), which they ordered from O’Reillys, which they had charged me $200 for a part listed on oreillys website for $100 and the replacement part (TA9003, there were only two sizes available for my car) was also $100 from oreillys which they wanted to now charge me an additional $100? So $300 charge for the $100 part?
I had a family recommended shop repair it today (who was closed when I was in town last time which is why I went to this Goodyear location). He told me the hose had been cut, which no one told me about. So he replaced the valve and took care of where the hose was cut in like an hour. He said it should’ve taken 30 minutes to replace that valve total. So not 1.7 hours.
They ran the diagnostic check for free and they were no trouble giving me a refund except for the $100 in labor they charged me for, which I understood paying because they did waste their time taking my car apart.
I had made an appointment to bring my truck in for an alignment and state inspection 3 weeks out and scheduled for the Saturday before Christmas.. It was appointment to drop the truck in the morning and pick up later that day. I dropped off about an hour after opening and apologized that I wasn’t able to be there first thing when opening. I was told no problem by the female assistant manager and clerk and told they would take care of the vehicle. About 2:30 in the afternoon, the clerk called and asked if I could come pick up the truck because they couldn’t get to the alignment that day. Was told that a tech had put a suspension job up on the only alignment lift and it was going to take more than a day. Not a problem, things happen. I go in to get truck and when I get there I ask if the inspection was completed. I was told no, because everyone who could do an inspection was gone. I asked if they had been there that day and was told that the assistant manager from earlier could have done it, but she left at 1100 (before she was scheduled) for the day to go get her hair done. I was also told more that the reason the suspension job was on the lift was because the same assistant manager over booked all of the technicians for the day. Fortunately, one tech finished with a job right as I was picking up and was able to accomplish my inspection, reluctantly. You could tell by the attitudes of everyone there that there was animosity in the workplace. I made an appointment 3 weeks out for this reason and was even willing to leave my truck the whole day so the 2 things that should only take an hour could get done. I was lucky to get my inspection completed.
We were traveling from Angel Fire NM to Lewisville TX. We spent the night in Wichita Falls on the way. When we started out in the morning I noticed the air deflector under the engine was loose and in danger of dragging on the ground. I had to get to Lewisville for an a doctors appointment and I didn’t have a lot of extra time. I stopped by North Texas Auto Service to see if they could help me. A technician looked at the issue and removed the shield for me so I could be on my way in a timely manner. The shield is not essential to drive the truck so it only took a couple of minutes to be on my way. I asked the technician how much my bill was; he told me there was no charge so I thanked him and told him I’d give him a good review. I appreciate young people helping people out rather than trying to take advantage of them. Made my appointment; I was 20 minutes early (I’m 77 years old).
This business is the kind of thing I love about small towns. All of the employees that I came into contact with were very friendly and willing to help. I came in on my lunch break needing a battery, because it had gone completely dead and wouldn’t start without a charge. They were able to get me taken care of in a timely manner and I was able to get back to work on time because of them.
Excellent service, fair prices! I got stuck in town when my alternator failed in the middle of a cross country road trip. Of course it was Sunday when nothing is open. I sent this job an email on Sunday expecting to get a reply on Monday. They responded the same day! I brought the car in first thing Monday morning and they had me out by 11:00 a.m. Use this company with confidence! A+
Great service. I had to wait 2 hours to get my truck in for an alignment but the quality was worth the wait. My truck drives smooth as ever and the front desk clerk Tammy was very professional and cordial. 10 out of 10 will bring my other vehicles here again.
I have gone here for repairs before and had great service with Ty.
However this last time I had an issue when I took my daughter's car. The 1st quote was for valve cover gasket and I was quoted 1hr labor. I called back to also have spark plugs changed at the same time and labor was quoted at 1.2 hours. When we actually showed up for the appointment the quote changed to 1.7 hours and Tammy wouldn't honor the original quote for 1.2 hours.
Overall the work completed was good and prices are decent but the customer service isn't the best. I may try another shop when I get my rear main seal changed on my Tahoe....
