Called today to see about having a car that runs and drives to be taken off the back of a semi truck. 5-6 mins worth of work. $90 is crazy not to mention she was not exactly very pleasant to talk to…
I had previously given this company five stars. I had waited on the a previous day for 3hrs to pick up my car granted it was a Sunday and the later part of the day. The next day my insurance company called them again to take my car to get a tire put on. But again I waited over 3hrs. I called the insurance back and they got another tow truck company that was there to pic up my car with in 15 min. I understand that not all company's are the same. But if your work load is to much and the costumer keeps calling back twice and both time you say the truck is on route and its not. Time is money and because of them I missed out on a whole days worth.
They are not upfront with all the vital information that you need to get your property. I was there 2 times and had to call them 4 times. I was told that I have to have insurance to prove ownership if I didn't have a title with my name on it. In the state of Texas insurance does not prove ownership of a vehicle. I feel that they are not an honest company at all. I would not rate a star at all if given the choice
Red Beard's Towing is the best towing company in town! They have helped me many times. Recently, on 6/28/25 Damon came to my rescue when my car stopped working at a gas station and I spent all the money i had left on gas for the rest of the week and couldn't afford to pay full price for a tow. I called many places in town and they told me i was out of luck. Initially, I called Red Beard's towing first but since I didn't have the full amount required for a tow they apologized profusely, but told me there wasn't anything they could do if I couldn't pay the full amount. Just when I was about to give up and break down mentality.. Damon called me from Red Beard's Towing and told me he was on the way to help me. I can't express the wave of emotions I felt when he called me and calmly reassured me he was more than happy to help me. Turns out my car was fine it just needed a start. Damon, THANK U from the bottom of my heart for going out of your way to support your community members. I will always recommend this place for towing BECAUASE of good people him! Also, thank you to the owner of RBT, you have helped my family when our car broke down a few times as well and you were always on top of it, professional and very kind. I highly recommend Red Beard Towing in Wichita Falls, TX. I recently had an RV travel trailer breakdown while 800 miles from home. After waiting for 2 hours for "Recovery Towing" to come (Geico contractor) who were a no show (don't recommend them for sure). I personally contacted Red Beard who was there in 10 minutes! The operator (Kay) was super helpful. When the repair shop we were bringing it to was closed (Sunday night), he offered to bring it to their yard overnight. Next morning it was promptly delivered to the repair shop. Great experience under not so great circumstances. Thanks Reb Beard Towing and especially to Kay.
Jack called me within minutes of me calling roadside assistance. He showed up quickly and got me loaded and on my way. Despite the 107° heat, his attitude was great. Huge help. I'll definitely be using them from now on!

My insurance contacted them around 6:45 am. They were there faster than the updated could keep up with them. The driver was able to look at my engine and tell me the possible issue. HE WAS CORRECT! Service was very fast and courteous. I would definitely recommend and use again if needed! YOU GUYS ROCK!
Jack was the technician sent out for my son’s rescue. Jake was more than sufficiently knowledgeable and along with knowledge, the customer service and interaction was excellent. I will call Red Beard again should another need occur, not to mention recommend!

This will be long, but important to write. On January 19, red beards towing was dispatched by AAA to pick up and tow my car to AAA auto and mechanic shop. My son met the towing driver and provided him with the keys. Reminder this was on Sunday, January 19 at 7:30pm. The driver proceeded to take the car to AAA Norman for drop off. After not hearing back for 1.5 weeks, I reached out to AAA auto Norman, inquiring about the status of my car and why I hadn’t heard anything. To my surprise, the representative at AAA Norman Auto informed me that they had my car impounded on Monday, January 20 because the red beard driver dropped my car off in a location that blocked 2 of their bays and did not leave the keys. I have pictures. I began a search to find out where was my car. Please note that I reside in Houston and my son was using my car while in college.
After chasing my car down and realizing that my car was towed to American Recovery & Towing, I called red beards towing every day from January 27-February 18 trying to get them to accept responsibility. They continued to tell me that a manager/owner would call me. No manager ever called. I had to pay $679 to get my car out of impoundment and still has not received a call from red beard towing to accept responsibility. Therefore, I am now required to pursue legal ramifications. Horrible experience with an unresponsive company. AAA should cancel their contract. I will definitely be reaching out to AAA.
Kyle was PHENOMENAL! Car broke down in a sketchy part of town. Kyle was quick to get here and was very communicative and when he realized our Lyft wasn’t going to arrive for another 20 minutes (car had to be towed to dealership) he would not leave us sitting on the curb of a convenience store In the wrong part of town and insisted on waiting there with us until our ride arrived. I will highly recommend to everyone. Service that goes above and beyond!
We enjoyed some “mud therapy” with our Jeep. All was good until we went shopping and she wouldn’t start. Kristoff came to our rescue. He was such a kind soul and treated our Jeep like the baby she is. Top notch service and expertise!
When I hit something in the road at high speed and blew out both left tires, I had to call for my car to be towed. Red Beards answered my call and was with me within 10 minutes! Wonderful and friendly service. They got my car right where it needed to be and all covered by my insurance. Simply cannot recommend their services enough!
The driver from Red Beard’s Towing came to our help within 30 minutes or less. They called to communicate with us. Jason S changed our tire in less than 10 minutes and had us on our way. He was extremely courteous and made sure we were ready to go. I have never had such awesome service. I recommend this towing service.

I told this company that my vehicle was sitting low in the rear due to bad air suspension. After waiting 4 hours CARLOS called me when he was 30 minutes out I told him I was no longer there but I would come back he offered to grab the vehicle and tow it anyways. I reminded him that the vehicle was sitting low and expressed my concerns of damage during loading the vehicle on to the truck. He assured me he had everything he needed to get the job done safely. He lied.
The vehicle arrived with the rear bumper caved in and the muffler bent and scraped. Carlos started off apologetic and turned into rude and disrespectful laughing at my frustration. He told me he was never able to start my car due to not having a battery jump box(he lied annd said he did have one) and that he dragged my car in park onto the bed of the tow truck. His plan was to slide the vehicle off of the truck I protested and said we would jump it and drive it off. When he went to jump start the car using my own battery cables he tried connecting to the power distribution box causing sparks to fly everywhere. When I frantically asked what he was doing he replied “ do you want to get up here and do it yourself?” So I did. He laughed as I climbed up the bed of the tow truck while it was at an angle. Jay the supervisor assured me I would get taken care of and stopped communicating with me a few days after I sent him the pictures of my vehicle before the tow after the tow and the damage left in my drive way. I was told the owner who he would not name would reach out within the next 48 hours. He never did. Jay wouldn’t respond to me so I resorted to calling the main office once a week for 4 weeks to see if I could catch the owner since apparently he was the only one who could approve my repairs. Finally was put in touch with someone who said they were “part owner” I forget his name. He informed me that he would be. Denying any responsibility for the damages done to my vehicle during the tow and that he had before and after pictures that show damage in both. When I asked if he could send me the pictures so I can see, his response was “ I don’t need to give them to you” when I told him that I had my own pictures that were Geo stamped with date time and location He asked me to send him my pictures. (Jay was supposed to pass my pictures on to him.) he basically told me unless I was willing to take legal action I had no other options to have them repair my vehicle. They put me off and ignored me until they felt they had mustered up enough false evidence to stand his ground. And denied responsibility as an act of retaliation for informing AAA that this situation had occurred. He did bring up the fact that the trucks have video cameras on them. And said he would review them and never got back to me.
Extremely unprofessional and dishonest horrible communication and greedy I would steer away from this company especially if their other truck operators are anywhere near as inexperienced and unprofessional as CARLOS was. I’ve been a mechanic for 8 years and never have I ever dealt with a company like this. Still have yet to get this resolved 2 months later.
Jason s. was amazing, he was helpful and really went the extra mile to help calm my nerves in a stressful time. If Jason is a reflection of red beard towing I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. Great guys great company.
Zach and Jason came out in the heat of the day and saved me from my own stupidity. I hit a curb and they had the tire changed in less than 10 minutes. Couple of great guys. I recommend this business 100%.
I appreciate good communication and good customer service. I got both. The service was on time as expected, indeed, early. And exceeded expectations on all levels. It was a frustrating time given problems with my Honda Accord Hybrid vehicle. But they were dealt with expeditiously and efficiently.
I used Red Beards to tow my car from Denton to Dallas after my tire ripped. Carlos helped me out and he took care everything so smoothly! He also gave me a ride back to Dallas which was so kind. I would highly recommend to all family and friends!
Can't thank these guys enough. We were on a road trip back to Phoenix, and our car we were towing wouldn't start. The first company AAA sent us didn't show up for 5 hours, attempted a jump start that didn't work and then left telling us we needed a new starter. The next morning Red Beards towing came to us and got our car started. Jack took the time to explain to us what the problem could have been and how we could safely get back to Phoenix. Ryan also helped me pick out a jump starter, explaining the differences between the ones we found online. These guys were so helpful and patient. It seems rare these days to find good and genuine customer service. They absolutely went above and beyond to help us. Jack even sent us a text a few days later to check if we had made it back home. Really great experience!
Another tow company left us stranded after waiting for them for 6 hours. Jack with Redbeard picked us up in 1 hour from the time he was contacted and drove us 210 miles. Super professional and super nice! 10/10 would recommend for all your towing needs!
