What clients say about 1900 Vineyard in Cozart (TX)

I don’t even know how to explain how beautiful this place is—1900 Vineyard is like un pedacito del cielo (a little piece of heaven). I came out just to relax and see something new, but I ended up meeting Katherine and Randy, and wow… esos dos son una chulada de personas. So kind, so humble like family you didn’t know you had. They welcomed me with open arms, showed me around, told me the story of the vineyar and you could feel the corazón they’ve put into everything. You don’t see that everywhere. The land is peaceful, the views are perfect, and the wine? ¡Riquísimo! Good people, good vibes, and pura tranquilidad. Les doy cinco estrellas y un abrazo fuerte. ❤️?

Well shoot, I didn’t know what I was gettin’ into when I pulled up to 1900 Vineyard, but lemme tell ya—this place is somethin’ special. The land’s prettier than a spring mornin’, and the whole place just feels peaceful, like you can finally breathe deep and slow down a bit. I got to meet the folks runnin’ the place, Katherine and Randy, and I swear they’re two of the kindest souls you’ll ever come across. Real friendly, real folksy—not the fake kind either. They made me feel right at home like I’d known ‘em for years. We had a good ol’ chat, and you could tell they care about this place like it’s part of their family. If you’re ever out this way, don’t just drive on by. Stop in, sit a spell, and sip some of their wine. You’ll leave with a full heart and probably a bottle or two. I sure did.

I stumbled across 1900 Vineyard on a little weekend adventure, I’m so glad I did. The property is gorgeous and full of personality, but what really made the visit special was meeting Katherine and Randy, the owners. They were so down-to-earth and welcoming, you’d think we were old friends catching up. We chatted for a bit about the vineyard, and it was clear how much heart and hard work they’ve poured into it. I love supporting places that are locally owned and genuinely cared for—this one checked all the boxes. Whether you’re local or just passing through, make sure to swing by. You’ll leave with a great bottle of wine and a big smile.

I had the most amazing experience at 1900 Vineyard! From the moment I arrived, the property felt like something straight out of a dream—peaceful, charming, and full of heart. I was lucky enough to meet Katherine and Randy, the owners, and I can’t say enough good things about them. They were so kind, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they’ve created here. You can tell this place is built with love—every little detail is intentional, from the vines to the stunning views and even the event space. Whether you’re coming out for a tasting, a quiet getaway, or considering it for a wedding or special event, I highly recommend stopping by. Katherine and Randy made me feel like family. Thank you both for such a beautiful and unforgettable visit!

Texas at its finest! Kathryn & Randy are fantastic hosts to their artful & cozy winery, grape garden, Texas art infused home full of whimsey and live music! Their wine selection is copious and best of breed. I’ve seen Bill, Elaine Kruse, JerryAllis & Andy Andares perform on their two different stages. One is outdoors and one indoors full of art.

It was wonderful, the whole experience, shopping, food, wine, and all! The shopping is so unique and worth your time. I could have spent hours in there looking at everything. Unfortunately, we had limited time. The wine selection is fabulous! I got lost in that. The food is to die for! On top of that, the owners are so sweet and knowledgeable about every item in the store. I can't wait to get back! Thank you for a wonderful time!!

We have known Randy Leifeste for years. It was great to spend the afternoon at the winery with him and Katherine. Great live music, great art exhibit and really great wines. It was really special that the Heart of Art vineyard is in memory of my husband Ted's father, Clinton Durst. Ted and Clinton planted the first vineyards in Mason County in 1988. A few years ago, Ted, Clinton and I helped crush Alicante Bouschet and it became our favorite grape. Randy and Katherine planted the grape in the Heart of Art vineyard. We loved tasting the different wines. Loved sharing history of family running the Art General store and living in the house, and learning the origin of 1900 Vineyards. The Tie the Knot Tannat wine aged in the bourbon barrel is amazing! So is the hat.
