I love going to Pine Street Salvage! The folks working the scales are patient with me, and the folks in the office are nice. They even gave my kids T-shirts!
The man who was weighing the trucks was rude and unprofessional. I asked him if I could combine the weighing of two trucks into one ticket since I am in the military and would prefer not to have multiple tickets. He initially agreed, saying it was not a problem. However, he then had a change of heart and began to talk irrationally, accusing me of trying to take advantage of the system. He kept talking frantically and pointed to the cameras, insisting that everything was being recorded.
Once he finally calmed down, he said he would weigh the trucks separately. I replied, "No, thank you. I don't want to do business after your accusations," which made him even more agitated, leading him to activate the alarms. I left the place calmly and now I advised every military member to go elsewhere. A military member can have one, two, or more trucks for their move, and ultimately, what matters is the total weight of the trucks. In my case, I was trying to minimize the number of tickets I had to submit to get the reimbursement.
Do not take copper here. Took an old electric motor with copper wiring and claimed it was aluminum but refused to show us the cut piece to let us verify it was not copper. Then suddenly lose our copper in the scrap pile so we can't get it back either.
Wow were to start .yah RIP big boy .hurd about the guy at scales passing .I like the one who treat you same as they would treat there own .my fav is cash lady she is cool under stress but my next reviews are not.goj g to be liked by most .I turned in 240 lb of very clean nice cooper90%was #1 ok but any way .cool was at it's highest last yr .almost 4$ lb .they put a hold on my stuff and told me they were going to have to hold it tell next day.i said ok called next day .said must hole
I was running late but got the just in time! Treated me like I was the first of the day! After working this long hours they should have had enough of customers and been crabby! But no they all had a good attitude. Things have changed there. Prices are always higher than the others.
I sent copper with my daughter and grandson. The man weighing was rude. Chucked a piece of it back hit my grandson with it. My grandson never said a word smiled n waited for him to finish. Then the guy was continually rude so my grandson left. They owe me. I will be calling in the morning. Hope they make it right!! But from what I've read I wonder!!

These people are very helpful they have a Great staff. Nice people to be around. Never had a problem with prices they were always very helpful upfront if I did not have something seperated correctly they wood tell me and i could bring it back when I had it done correctly. I find them to be honest and fair and had the best prices in town.
People that works there are very friendly and polite, very organized places went there 3 times and didn't have my tires pop . If you got metal scapes go to gate 5 to first weigh in from there they will let you know what to do.
Great service, very helpful team! Made some money instead of paying to take things to the dump so well worth it if you have appliances you need to get rid of.
They ripped us off big time. We had 600lbs of solid steel and they gave us $64 the going rate in Texas is .23 cents a pound they gave us way less than that will never use them again. Rip offs.
Great customer service ! Their are 2 other salvage yards in town i wouldn't even consider going to again. Just to sum it up ..Fair,Honest,Nice,Convenient, They know me by name! Thanks Pine Street Salvage. Co. Keep up the good work!
WOW had a great time. Love watching the huge machine, picking the scrap like it's nothing. Real nice people working there. Changed the weigh station. It all worked out well for rid of old scrap at my place and made some money for lunch. Thanks
Pretty friendly & helpful staff. They do a good job. It's a little confusing how they have everything set up. If it's your first time going out there, be sure to first stop off at the office and ask them where everything goes, let them know it's your first time. They usually pay the highest in town for most things, but if you are heavy with one particular type of metal you may want to call around first just to make sure you're getting paid out the max available.
I've been hosed every time I went there to sell metals, copper especially. Last time I went they gave me lead prices for copper with solder joints in it. I've been given red brass prices for copper with no solder joints in it at all before too.
