Steve is probably one of the most honest, up front and easiest individuals I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with! Ask him for what you need and he can give you a reasonable price, and tell you if he has it or not without hesitation. Hes very knowledgeable about parts and can call me a loyal customer for life! Thanks Apple Auto!

I called about a V6 engine. He said he had one, assured me it was a good engine, it just had a blown head casket. Which I was okay with. He said he would not pull the engine until there was payment, it is a 2 hour drive for me so I wanted to pay for it over the phone. He agreed but ask that I call back because he didn't have the office help and couldn't answer the phones and take my payment. I agreed. I called back several times throught the day and was not able to get anyone to take payment over the phone. The next day I call again, after some hold time (which I don't mind) and a call back I was told again I could give payment over the phone. I started to give my card number and then was asked to hold. A different person picked up the phone, asked why I was holding, and then asked what I was trying to buy. I told her, a v6 engine with blown head casket for $125. She asked if there was a warranty I said I didn't know but didn't mind if there wasn't but I was 2 hours away and wanted to get it paid for so they could start pulling it. She said and I quote "let's see if there's a warranty since its such a long drive" put me back on hold and when the phone was picked back up it was the man I had been talking to before but he told me he "was backing out of the deal because there is too much politics" he gave me another number to call and when I asked "so you won't sell me your motor?" He said no "there's all this warranty issue" I said "sir, I don't care about a warranty, your girl asked me about a warranty. I'll buy as is no warranty" he hung up. I never raised my voice or used any tone other than a pleasant one. In my business time is money and he wasted 2 days of my time to end up hanging up on me because his girl asked about a warranty that I didn't even request. I feel costumer service should always be a priority in every industry. It was not given in this situation.

Steve is a national treasure. I drove over from Dallas to purchase parts from another salvage yard. They were going to charge me $150 for two parts, and then they ended up closing earlier than discussed on the phone. I scrambled to call Apple Auto Salvage, and Steve let me swing by to get the parts I needed. He then charged me $60 (less than half the price of the other guys). I looked that man right in the eyes and said, "God bless you, Steve." Then I gave him a tip because he deserved it for helping me like that. These other places could learn a thing or two from Steve.
