What clients say about Beard's Towing in Kennedale (TX)

Apparently it doesnt matter how far you go, they still going to charge you $500+ for a tow. Then another 4.5% to use your card...disgusting Of course they wait to tell you any fees until they got you loaded up on the side of the road after the police basically tell you this company is your only option unless you want to wait and excessive amount of time waiting on another company, which is probably a lie.

There are a lot of bad reviews about this location, so I was a little worried. My experience was great though, no line, the lady at the front desk was nice & directly to the point.
The man who helped me collect my belongings was super kind. My trunk was completely damaged as you can see in the image, and he lifted it up enough to help me collect an item in my trunk. I know that’s not in his job description but he was willing & had a great attitude on helping me with anything anyway!! He brought me all the way back to the front to the car I drove in, when I realized I forgot my car keys in my DAMAGED car. He was not annoyed or upset and took me back to the damaged car to get my car keys.
Nothing bad to say about my experience.Dec 20, 2025 -
My car was picked up in towed to this company's impound lot we had to pay $250 to get out and $351 to get it towed to my in-law's house because we do not have the keys to start it, they were lost and the keys that the dealership has made has not worked. It has a chip. Well, the driver of the tow truck that drove it to my in-law's house from the tow yard. Left it 4 feet from the curb. And in front of the neighbor's house , not in front of my in law's house and not next to the curb. My father-in-law immediately called him and he was still on the street. He was turning around in the culdizack and the coke driver told him you might wanna move that car? Because it's in the middle of the street, 4 feet away from the curve. And in front of the neighbor's house and my father-in-law told him, I can't move it. We do not have the keys that is the whole reason. We had it towed and spent $351 to get it towed from their yard to our house. Well , the tow truck driver then said that it would cost another two hundred dollars for him to move it to where it was supposed to be dropped off in the first place!!!! Now, let me tell you that is a customer service care about the customer driver.Right there. He really cares about what kind of name beards towing represents. Because after this everyone I talked to no not to get their stuff towed by beards towing because they will drop it in the wrong spot. And then try to charge you to put it where it was supposed to be in the first place. It really is crazy to me. It's not their fault. My car got towed to their lot. Or that?I had to pay the money to get it out of there, but it is their fault that they couldn't drop it off in the right spot and then try to charge $200 to move it.Five feet to where they were supposed to drop it in the beginning of the spot. It was around 11 o'clock at night and it was dropped off in white settlement.I don't know the drivEr's name but may\nBe, that will help beards.Figure out what driver Need some customer service classes and apparently some tow truck driving lessons as well , I guess or or how to drop it in the the right spot. Already spent 500 something dollars to get it out. And over to my house and then you win another 200 to move it to 5 feet to where you were supposed to originally drop it just completely ridiculous. I do not recommend this company. It is obvious it's all about the money and not the quality. Hope this post helps somebody.

These people pray on the most vulnerable at their worst. We are fortunate to easily deal with the fallout of an accident and the unfortunate need to deal with a tow company but know if you have to go, bring your patience and be ready t be bent over…. Or call a lawyer. They don’t know it but there are things they can be taken to court for if the effort and time is worth it for you. For me, my time was far more valuable than the return. Enjoy

Was fast and patient. Had to wait 30 minutes for the tow yard to release my car and he was there 30 minutes before. He also was very .

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! They are tied to the local police department and allowed to price gouge/extort any truck/trailer pulled in. They towed our truck 20miles and asked for $5000 to release it from their yard. Insane!

Terrible Service and Price Gouging - Avoid Beard's Towing!
I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Beard's Towing in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and I cannot stress enough how much I regret it. They towed our truck across I 20 and gave a bill for $2,300.00 dollars .This company is nothing short of a scam. They prey on people who are in vulnerable situations, like being stranded on the side of the road, and then take advantage of them by charging outrageous fees for services that are both overpriced and unprofessional.
1. Ridiculous Prices:
I was quoted nearly three times the standard rate for a tow within a fairly short distance. When I questioned the price, the driver’s response was vague and dismissive, offering no explanation other than “that’s just how it is.” I've used other towing services in the past and never experienced anything like this.
2. Unprofessional Behavior:
3. Horrible Customer Service:
When I called to express my frustration, the customer service was absolutely useless. They didn’t offer any resolution or even attempt to make things right. Instead, I was met with a dismissive attitude and an overall lack of accountability. It’s clear that Beard’s Towing doesn’t care about customer satisfaction or maintaining a good reputation—they just want to get as much money as they can, regardless of how they treat people.
4. Dishonest Practices:
They’ve been known to hook up vehicles without proper authorization or without informing customers of the exact charges upfront. It’s almost as if they know most people in a towing situation are in a panic and won’t have time to question exorbitant fees. I can’t imagine how many people they’ve swindled over the years.
I would strongly advise anyone in the DFW area to stay far away from Beard’s Towing. There are plenty of other towing companies out there who will treat you with respect, provide transparent pricing, and actually do their job without trying to rip you off.Nov 07, 2025 -
Got my vehicle towed for a mechanical issue I got charged $200 for a cleaning. A small oil spill on top of another $200 to drive a mile and a half from the house on top of that every time they run my credit card they were saying that there were something wrong with my with my card. I called the bank. My bank said everything was not on RN, but in fact it was there and possibly just to get your car to be torn into their facility so you could pay more money. I think these guys are a bunch of rip off if you guys have run into this problem where their credit system is not working it’s just that can take your vehicle into the facility so you can pay more money to get it out. Luckily, I had cash on hand so that they could drop the car at my facility.

These people are unethical! My car was towed by this company after my car accident and they stole my phone. I can see exactly where it’s located as they keep turning it on every few weeks and I’ve contacted the police. Even though I’m sure they are aware they have thieves working for them as it appears to be their ongoing practice per the reviews, the employee that lives on Bardin rd needs to be reprimanded.

Do NOT give this place business. Got my car sent here after a wreck, I arrived at around 6PM paid 400 to get it taken out, was planning on heading back home while I waited for the tow truck to come pick it up as it was going to take a while through Statefarm insurance, then the woman at the front tells me I can't leave the establishment until the tow truck gets here for pickup (first time I've ever heard of this). Statefarm was able to send someone out and when they got here they weren't allowed entry to go pick up the car because one of their 3 licenses (TDL, PDLR, and Cab Card) was expired, which is understandable. During this whole time they kept saying if we paid an extra $50 they can bring it out to the front and the tow truck could pick it up no problem. I had to go through Statefarm again and after multiple attempts of them calling Beards Towing to communicate with them and nobody picking up they finally responded. During this time there were 2 employees there ignoring the phone calls as I could hear them ringing and they were standing right there. Eventually one of the women comes to the front and asks if my car was through Statefarm and I confirm and she says "they just said its they're not going to be here until 10PM so you're going to have to wait" and laughs then goes to the back (this was around 7:30PM). I had just had a car accident a few hours before and was supposed to be resting at home, so after a few attempts of going back and forth they finally said I could go home and come back later.
The tow truck driver and I arrived back here right around 9:55PM and went inside, checked in and after a few minutes Desiree said we could go back outside and they would open up the gate so that he could go through and pick up the car. We go wait outside, 10:25 rolls around and I go inside to see what the hold up was, I wait inside for around 7-8 minutes and knocked multiple times and nobody would come out. I end up calling the Beards Towing number and get an answer and get put on hold for around 5 minutes. I finally get a response and I say, "hey I've been waiting here in the front for over 10 minutes" and Desiree cuts me off and says "you've only been waiting for like 2 minutes" then hangs up the phone. Desiree comes to the front and asks what's wrong, I tell her we've been waiting for around 40 minutes for someone to open up the gate so we can get my car and leave, she says we just have to wait, i ask her if she can check and see how long its going to take and she walkie talkies someone in the back and they immediately say you can let them through. We were finally able to get the car out. Something that should've been 15 minutes tops ended up getting dragged out to an hour.
This is the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. It was not just me being treated like this, I witnessed other customers being talked to the same way, getting eye rolls, attitude, etc. This is a problem that needs to be addressed, as it is unacceptable for a business to treat customers this way.Sep 03, 2025 -
They towed a car I had already sold. They told me that if the new owner does not pick it up, someone will come after me to pay the towing bills. I asked for an email where I can send the official paperwork showing them I am not the owner and . . . she gave me an email that nobody monitors, so it will never be seen and not put in my file. Really unprofessional. And looks like they charged $3,000 for the towing . . . so also seems totally out of line. Stay away.

Not sure where my first review went, but here it is again. These people are thieves! Long story short, DPS called these people to tow my car a 1/2 mile and the driver said it would be about $400, he was saying we didn't have a choice, he was wrong and got sent away without a penny. Just out of curiosity I called the next day and got a quote of $225 from them for the same thing. Luckily I was able to talk the DPS officer into noting the price gouging in our report so we can take further action to get these people out of the tow service. I will be calling the world tomorrow to make sure these people are removed from law enforcements rotation. I am disabled and the accident was devastating to our family, and all they wanted to do was make a bad situation worse.

Was a bit disappointed that they advertise 24/7 service but don’t disclose the limited time allowed to claim your belongings from your vehicle. Car was towed here after an accident. As a pregnant woman the first thing in my head to do after a car accident is to make sure the baby is safe and doing well, not to be concerned about the things in my car. As well as having an injured passenger who wanted to be seen by a doctor. You would think a place who offers 24/7 service would have hours to claim your belongings that go with that. So just as a suggestion, advertise your business properly or work on your hours. Most people are going to work 9a-4p Monday-Friday and not every job is understanding after an accident. Consider extending your hours to 9a-7p or 8p, allow people to actually come claim their belongings, especially when accidents happen at all times of the day.

My car broke down on i20 and it was a really scary experience for me. Thankfully Tim showed up within the hour and towed my car directly to the dealership. He was super friendly and efficient, he went the extra mile to make sure my beautiful beloved car was secured and we made it there with no problems! He even unloaded my car and parked it right outside the repair shop bay. Thank you Tim! You really helped me out!

Place is an absolute joke. Overpriced and price gouging at its finest. 5 office windows 1 worker lobby full of people. Difficult as possible to get cars out. And check in by QR code AT A TOW PLACE unreal guess with all the price gouging they can waist money on whatever. Also set outside the gate for an hour after fees was paid for the vehicle to be “ready to get”. The only tow yard this way in a 100 mile radius. There is a reason they got kicked off ft worth rotation hopefully Arlington will see through and drop them next. I don’t know how they can be on rotation for Arlington but have a yard in Kennedale. Should be against tdlr !!! I will be contacting them.

Lobby is actually nice. Be careful of extra fees if the car in not drivable. The employee Brandon is actually helpful and honest, which is a rare trait dealing with these companies. Arlington police should always give the option of tow, but they won't if you dont say something, and your car will end up at places like these incurring ridiculous charges.

My son was involved in an accident. We were forced to use Beard’s Towing because they showed up 5 minutes faster than my AAA tow truck, per Cops. Josh, the Beards employee driving the truck told us that we can come to their Kennedale Facility and remove my son’s belongings. We specifically inquired about removing the subs and amps, as they were professionally installed. Josh assured us that we will be able to remove the subs and amps. The only thing we cannot remove was the wiring. We show up to Beards Towing and the lady at the counter said we were not allowed to remove them per company policy and apologized for us being misinformed. If this is company policy then why was Josh giving out false information. So now thousands of $$$ in equipment is stuck in my son’s car that we can’t remove. So disappointed in the misinformation & communication. With a company that has been in business for so long as Beards Towing you would think they would do better. They have proven to me from my experience they are just another Willy-Nilly company out for money by providing lies & misinformation.

Worst service ever. The girl at the desk was mean and rude. The tow truck driver is also rude and a poor customer service. and this company charges a maximum rate please don't call this company again they spoil my air value

Absolutely atrocious. I was forced to use this place after an accident, and it was a complete nightmare. The building might look decent from the outside, but don’t be fooled — inside, it feels like a jail. The staff is unhelpful, the environment is hostile, and they nickel and dime you at every turn. Their “24-hour” claim is a blatant lie — good luck getting any real help when you actually need it. Arlington police seriously needs to drop this tow company and find someone who actually serves the public.

I have never encountered a more unprofessional and poorly trained group of individuals. As someone who works in law enforcement and the criminal justice system, I was genuinely shocked by the level of disrespect displayed.
My husband’s car was mistakenly towed, and we were charged $331.11 to retrieve it. Despite the error being on their end, we had to pay the full amount. When we arrived to pick up the vehicle, which had been towed the night before, we noticed the hazard lights were still flashing—contrary to their claim that they were not on.
When I attempted to start the car, it was completely dead. An employee named Jacob advised me to turn off the hazard lights and try again, but the car still wouldn’t start. He then said he would get a jump box to assist us. However, once we went back inside, a young and clearly untrained employee named Jacky approached the window and demanded $50 in cash or $60 if paid by debit for the jump-start.
We asked for written documentation justifying the fee, and Jacky responded by asking, “What is literature?” I explained what I meant, at which point another employee named Crystal came out aggressively and stated that the fee was what it was “because she said so.” When I pulled out my phone to record the interaction, she abruptly stormed off, saying, “You won’t record me.”
I then contacted law enforcement to file a report for civil court purposes and called AAA to have the vehicle towed home. The entire experience was marked by unprofessional behavior, a lack of training, and a shocking disregard for basic customer service.
Given the number of similar reviews, it’s baffling that Arlington PD continues to do business with this company. If anyone else is considering legal action regarding this business, please feel free to reach out.May 17, 2025 -
. I paid for my tow in full via Debit card. I was told my car would not start and would have to pay an additional charge of 40.00 just to gain access to my vehicle. I advised the staff I have a jump box in my vehicle. The staff refused to allow me to use my jump box. They refused to allow me to get my vehicle and told me I needed to call another tow service to gain possession of my vehicle. I called the non emergency phone number for the Arlington police department who instructed me I needed to call the city of Fort Worth to have an officer dispatched. The city of Arlington police department requested my vehicle be taken into this tow yard!! While waiting I witnessed multiple people who had to pay the same fee while the staff stated the same ordeal happened to other cars. This is a scam for this tow company to make additional money. It's one thing to have to pay for the tow it's something different for multiple individuals to have to pay additional fees for jumping the vehicle just to actually take it home. Services has been refused and the staff has advised I will not gain possession of my car. What am I supposed to do now?!! I've asked for a supervisor the staff refused to allow me to talk to a manager. If the city is going to contract with a tow service the implantation of a better experience should be put in place! I've sat in a car in the cold for well over an hour with my disabled wife unable to do anything but wait on an officer to come and render aid. Something needs to be done.

Horrible drivers and service!!! My car was taken here after being in an accident, this is who is called by the Mansfield police department. The amount quoted over the phone will be different than what you actually owe when you get there, BUT when you get there you’ll find out they only take exact change if using cash, so you will likely pay with a card at that point, then they tack on a service fee for using your card. The driver’s, Justin, attitude was atrocious, he refused to acknowledge I was speaking to him and just walked away towards his truck, he continued to ignore me or answer any questions. You can immediately tell they don’t want you to be able to pick up your car until the fees get too high. Their charges are absolutely robbery as well!!! They have a one person can go back and look at the vehicle rule, but that didn’t apply to the customers after us. They make the rules up as they go. You don’t have a choice on using them or not when your car is towed and it is immediately obvious that they are contracted by the city and don’t “need” or care about your business or experience. Treating people like they do is absolutely unacceptable. Hopefully their bad service catches up to them and people aren’t just stuck putting up with being treated in such a disrespectful manner. Karma is coming though, they lost their Fort Worth contract

They are trash, our car was in an accident & they came towed the car. They didn’t even have our car for 24 hrs & charged us a “2 day storage fee “ the ppl that work at the window is trash also, real rude. When u call don’t expect to be given the correct amt. their game is to keep your vehicle so u don’t get it back.

Be prepared to be charged a 24 hours fee even if 24 hours haven't gone by. Towed for 5 miles and needed to pay nearly $500 for a single day. The staff purposely wasted my time and wouldn't tell me how much my invoice was until it was too late for me to make arrangements to have my vehicle picked up. I called 5 times the same day my vehicle was taken and they couldn't get me a total until almost 7 hours after my vehicle was picked up. Upon looking at the invoice it seemed they had a total 2 hours after the fact. They purposely waste your time and there is little to no communication between personnel, so each time you call you will be given a different response. They also apparently will not show you your invoice unless you have a towing company on site to pick the vehicle up. So, if you're trying to find out how much total you're going to have to pay our of pocket, then Goodluck!
Horrible experience and very unhelpful staff.Feb 06, 2024 -
Terrible experience with this company. The drivers for this company are reckless. If you see this tow truck driving around the metroplex please avoid!! A driver hit my car and drove off. Completely totaling my car. And not taking any responsibility. Absolutely trash business!
