Glenn & Jerry's Auto Recyclers JunkYard in Haltom City (TX)

I went to this placed and was told that for an engine I wpuld pay 300-350 for the engine when I did a walk through with some idiot named (Ethan). When I came back to buy then engine he wanted to add and additional $200 after the agreed amount on the engine. This place is dishonest and will do their best to get over on you even though agreements have been made. They rather send the whole car as a paper weight instead of letting someone get and engine off of a car which has been sitting for over a year. (Confired by ethan) I would trust this place and I wpould expect nothing more but problems with this place in the future over dishonesty. Be careful with these guys

Place smells of a scam. called about a transmission they are over charging on and so I questioned if there was a warranty. I was told if I brought my core to them there was a 90day warranty but if I didn't there was only a 10day warranty. I'm not sure they understand what a core is and if they did what does a core charge have to do with a warranty on your overcharged used transmission that you can't give me a guarantee if it works or not? Regrading your reply, so basically instead of doing the Industry standard and charging a core charge you take away the warranty? sounds shady, what if I need a part that I don't have a core for? now I just don't get a warranty on a used part that you're over charging for?

I feel like they are too lazy to keep track of inventory and sometimes they have parts just the young man up front too lazy to go actually look

This place says they have parts and you drive out here and they don't have parts i drove an hour and the Guy that runs this place i've been coming for a while is a jerk they suck.

It was a very bad experience, their products are very low quality, they gave me 3 months warranty on the product and before it expires there was a problem in it, I went there and they said it is a simple problem and we can solve it and they charged me extra charges for fixing it which is not their right especially that the warranty still valid and after few days the problem came back againat that time warranty was already expired and also double charged me and they run away from their responsibility and currently they are asking me to pay again for the original product!! It's really a very bad experience . When you call them, they keep you on hold till you lose your patience and switch off the line, Really bad experience, and I don't recommend them to anybody

Great place to work and get OEM parts. They pull the parts while you comfortably wait.

Awesome customer service, Good Price and reliable. This is my first time at this location which to begin they had the better price for the vehicle part I was looking for out of 5 locations I had contacted. Now I was not to knowledgeable on the mechanisms and time it takes to replace the part I had just purchased. However thanks to the personal both in the front and the employees in the back that assisted in pulling the part I am glad to write this review for them and will recommend. *As being my first time there that's the reason I couldn't do 5. Thanks😊

I Purchased a ECM yesterday 06/08/2023 for a 96 Dodge Ram, After receiving the product, I plugged the ECM in the truck and the truck would not start, which I thought is weird so I went ahead and used a test unit to verify that the ECM was the issue and the test unit started the truck my test unit had a misfire on cylinder 4 code on the ECM so that's how I knew that I was sold a faulty unit. When I call the Next Day 06/09/23 spoke to an employee explain the situation about what was going on, and the employee told me that he had talked to his parts guy that said the vehicle it came off from was running and driving and tells me that we have no exchanges and their wasn't anything they could do for me. I asked the guy that I understood their policies but I didn't realized I was sold a faulty part and so the $150.00 that you received yesterday just went down the drain and no credit no nothing. he stated if that's what you want to think. I'm Sorry if that's what I think I used testing procures to confirmed that it was a bad module before calling and Glenn & Jerry's didn't want to make this right on a $150.00 NON-WORKING Part.

Excellent service and really good pricing

WARNING - STAY AWAY !!! I was quoted $35 for a part on the phone then drove all the way down to Glenn and Jerry’s where are they tried to jack the price up to $75 for the same exact part. The same guy who gave me the $35 quote would not honor the the price he quoted me. I did not buy the part. This is not a reputable place to do business.

Found great parts for my car here! The guys at the front counter were super helpful and helped me find other parts I was having a hard time with. Looks like they have a good way to keep track of all their inventory. There was two confused young middle eastern guys there acting all “Karen” and were really annoying. But other than that I would recommend 10/10. One of the best yards I’ve been to.

I got the privilege to get my vehicle fixed through Johnny. Manny is the one who repaired my actual vehicle but none of it would've been possible without Johnny and his good friend Leslie (she referred me to him). My car was pretty messed up. It took them not even a week to repair my car and it’s running like never before. If you’re considering bringing your vehicle here let this be your sigh to just DO IT! You will NOT regret it!

These guys are awesome! I have never had a problem with getting the parts I need from these guys. I bought a transmission from them, there was a problem with it and they completely worked with me on the issue and made sure it was resolved! These guys even delivered the part to the repair shop for me! I have been a long time customer and will continue to trust them for any of my needs. People have to remember that they are a business and have bills to pay just like any other. They may charge higher prices on some parts, but compare and check before you go buy a part that may or may not fix your problem. Remember this is a Salvage Yard you re going to get a used part that may or may not last or work, sometimes you are much better off buying a new part when it comes to wearable parts. Give them a call they are damn dependable and if they don t have the part they can point you in the right direction to finding it. I own a service business locally and am always happy to support any other local business.

Good parts but slow service. They won't pull the part until you are waiting for it. It took over an hour for them to pull a radiator and inner fender from a 2004 honda civic. And they will not take payments over the phone so they can pull it before you get there. I am a business owner and really don't have that kinda time to wait.

I went to get parts for my car and unfortunately due to me not being a valued customer I was told told I would have to come back for my part that would normally take me 15 minutes to pull. The mechanic or parts puller said because its a very hard part to take off he would take an hour or more or maybe going on a break or lunch. The prices for what I needed was too over priced. The guy at the counter told me to go to the yard in the front and I pulled ALL the parts I needed in less than 30 minutes and paid less than 50.00 for everything. Where here, they wanted to charge me for one part 50.00. Never going here again. At least they were good to reccomend the yard in the front and I felt as a valued customer. My brother too was satisfied with the yard in the front of these guys too that he said if he needs anything else, he know where to go. Not here!!!. Update: We have gone back to the yard in the front since this incident maybe 3 to 4 times and found everything we needed for our cars. So please, dont come here at at, go across the street.

I had a great experience here thanks to Arturo who was most helpful and patient with me. He answered all my ?'s and helped me find and load parts i went there for. Thanks to Roger For being the one to pull my part and to Johnny for loading part 4 me. I'll definitely be back

Johnny and Jackie were great! I needed a starter fast for my Pathfinder, they had a used one for a great price. I thought I had an issue but it was my mistake and they bent over backwards to help me out. Long story short, the right part for the best price around and great guys..

Omg these people I swear is high or something. They do not do there jobs right. Makes you drive to them and they don’t have the right part or they tell you the parts are good and when you go there it’s not good, and than they try to blame it on me saying I’m confused. I been doing this for many years why would I be confused about something sooo simple . Don’t go here guys. There is other yards that has better parts and prices . And if they don’t , they will not try to scam you. On top of that they were acting like they were about to beat me up but it’s funny because now a days you don’t have to use your fist to defend yourself according to the law.

Spoke with Ethan and he hung up on me 3 times. They’re customer service is horrible! Do not buy from them. Looking at other reviews they’re not good anyway!

Stay far away from the savage yard! There are 5 other savage yards on the same road.They are very very dishonest. They quoted me a part over the phone and checked to see if they had it. After driving over an hour to get there they sold me the part for 50 dollars and gave me a receipt in hand. The owner or guy in charge(little short weird looking guy bad hair cut and hair slick back) said they could not give it to me (after I had paid and had receipt in hand could. I could have called the cops) unless I paid an additional 50 dollars for the window I didn't need. I was forced to agree because all other yards were closing. I waited over an hour and then they broke the piece on the window I needed(karma). The owner tried to get me to buy the part from another car that wasn't compatible. The one they cracked the owner refused to give me a responsible discount. I wasn't even sure I could glue it back and it would even stay put. Stay away for GLEN AND JERRY as owner (guy in charge) is very this dishonest.

Crooks. Read the reviews guys. They tell you one price and then lie about it. Unprofessional. They feed you lip service and never show up. There are plenty of honest, real businessmen out there who deserve the cash of hard working people. Avoid at all costs!

I have a passion for cars and Arturo Alcala and Edgar Gaucin helped me fulfill my needs of finding the auto parts for my baby my Yukon 2002. They really answered all my questions and gave an amazing customer service. They went above and beyond to make sure I went home happy. Arturo and Edgar are very knowledgeable about all the different cars and trucks. They got bought out and for a freaking tail light they wanted to charge me $65 why? because they take the part off themselfs so I guess labor fees??? that is used by the way, I said no thank you I couldve bought it brand new on ebay for $50!, went down the street to pick and pull and for the same exact part used (dam near new) and I took the light bulbs too $25😊

Good auto salvage place. Decent prices for parts. I've picked up a few items for my sons truck. Unfortunately like most places they dont have much in the way of Nissan truck parts which is what I need. If your looking for most domestic vehicles though you should give them a try. Good chance they'll have what you need.

This salvage yard is very up to date. Unlike most yards, they know if and where they have a vehicle via a database. They found a rear end on a truck for me within a minute and pointed me to exactly where it was. They were fair on pricing as they keep up with what parts are going for and even pulled that entire rear for free and loaded it up for me. Very good service, would recommend.

All I will say is that this place is a scam. I’m surprised they are still open but I guess the city don’t care that there is a business that is scamming peoples. Probably the city mayor is a scammer too that they are still letting this business Operate after scamming a lot of people even though all evidence is in the reviews .
