Replaced my spark plugs and valve cover gasket on my 2004 Toyota Corolla (115k miles). Not incredibly labor intensive for my particular car model and the price reflected that (cheaper than I thought it would be). Their website mentions fair prices and I would have to back up that statement. Employees are professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Lastly, the mechanics would have to be pros to do all that work in 4 hours (including ordering parts).
It’s always nice to walk into an environment with smiling faces. They give you the service you request without pressuring you to pay for more. Extremely happy with the service and care provided.
I recently had my mother’s vehicle looked at by Cornerstone. During the whole process Matt, a technician, was very communicative and sympathetic to our needs. Relative to the amount of work, they had our vehicle finished very quickly. I was surprised. They ensured that the vehicle was tip top. From lubricating the brakes and new windshield wipers all the way to new shocks and engine mounts. Everyone there was very friendly and they even do a military discount.
The bottom line is you get what you pay for and who knows what these other shops around here are doing. If you want it done right with the technicians focused on quality of work, Cornerstone is where you will find it.

Rude customer service in the front. The guy obviously did not want to help me and trashed car truck just because it had big tires and he didn’t want to align it; front desk Asian guy. Seems like other people have the same issue; he needs to check the attitude or find a different profession.
This is an update to my review from three years ago. I continued to have smog issues with my truck on and off. As long as I could get it ready for the yearly smog check, I put off having anything else done. This year, I could not get the smog registers to set no matter what I did, how many drive cycles I did, or anything else. I called Matt at Cornerstone Auto Care and explained the problem. Matt remembered me from 3 years ago. I said I had two days off, and we needed to have my truck ready by then. Matt said We will take it in and look at it; it's best if you leave it until we figure out what is wrong. Smog issues can be tricky, and we don't just replace parts and hope that fixes the problem. The same day, Matt called me back and told me what was wrong: an updated part was needed and how much it would cost to fix the smog issue and, get all the smog registers set & do the smog test. Matt called back the next day and said it's ready.
Cornerstone Auto sent a driver to take me to the repair shop to pick up my truck, which was also very helpful; it's hard to find a ride when everyone is at work.

I had a smog issue with my Toyota Tacoma truck for some time. I talked to Matt and set up an appointment to check it out. I go to the appointment. They first pulled out an OBD scanner and checked the smog registers, which I have done for some time but not for a while. Matt was busy, so Rich checked my truck out. To my surprise, all of the smog registers were set. Rich informed me of this, and he could do the smog check right then. This was excellent news. Last year was a huge headache and cost me a ton of money. No one I saw seemed to know what to do with my smog problem so they just started changing parts. I was impressed Mat and Rich said we need to scan your truck first, then figure why your smog registers are not setting and go from there. They could have said this must be replaced and will cost a lot. They did not do that. I am really am happy I have found an honest business.
They're faster than the Chevy Dealership off of Vadergriff and have way more communication than them. It took them 1 day to figure out what was wrong with my car and 1-2 days to fix it even though they said they were behind. I brought it in at the end of Monday and had it back by the end of Thursday. Matt is on top of it!
Matt and his team were very helpful and prompt. I’ve been taking vehicles to Cornerstone for 15 or so years and it’s always been a great experience. My family and I thank you.

They was my 3rd mechanic to try and figure out the check engine light. They manually rewired the wiring harness to the computer. The old wiring was discontinued. They did a good job. Matt was great in keeping us informed. The estimate is what we paid.

Over the past six years I've had three different vehicles serviced here for things like brakes, inspections, oil changes, and A/C repair. Staff is always upfront and fair on prices. They've even let me know when I might find a better deal at another shop. I always go here, first, when I need repairs.

Came in for a pre-purchase inspection. They were able to make time to fit me in even with all the other cars they had, which was awesome of them. Inspection was very thorough and saved me from buying a lemon. $50 to avoid thousands in later repairs was well worth it. Highly recommend!
I have been going here for about 10 years. They do the best work. Excellent communication, good prices and superb work! Rich and Matt are the absolute best and the staff there are super helpful. Don't waste your money somewhere else where you might end up regretting it. This company is the real deal! No other mechanic for me.

They do all the work they promise adequately and on time, and also are very honest and instructive about potential issues observed NOT currently needing work. Rich and Matt were great about charging only for what they did to actually fix my van. They were fair and reasonable and were very kind with me bringing in my small children. The most reasonable oil changes in town, for sure!
My husband got an oil change at a different place and that establishment told my husband that we had a small oil leak. So we brought our vehicle here to get it checked out. They checked it thoroughly and found no leak at all. They are a very honest, friendly, and knowledgeable company that we greatly appreciate. We will come here for all our future issues we have on our vehicles. I'm going to refer our friends and family here also.
Bottom line: this is the mythical unicorn.. An honest mechanic shop that you are always hoping for yet never find. After my experience here I am never going elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and quit looking and call them up.
I took my Truck here because it was making a creaky sound under light braking. It was intermittent and I was worried I had a safety issue. I had already taken it to the Ford dealer who clearly did not listen to my details nor drive my truck because they pointed at tire wear. The tires were brand new. Another mechanic dismissed it as road noise over the phone.
I took a chance on Cornerstone / Wayne’s on a friend’s recommendation despite it being a little far from my house.
First good observation was that they typed every word from my description of the issue into their system. I liked that because the noise occurred under very specific conditions and I felt they took my claim seriously right away.
Second good sign was that once they determined it was safe to drive despite the noise they let me know and gave me the choice to stop work there rather than trying to sell me a list of repairs under the guise of scaring me into unnecessary fixes.
Ultimately they took the time to find the mysterious noise problem and fixed it completely. It was a bad drum.
These guys could have easily taken advantage of me by replacing every other part in the hunt for that noise and cost me a ton.
Instead they took care of me like true professionals at a great price.
Good people like this are rare to find.
They definitely made a customer for life and I would strongly recommend them.
Cornerstone Car Care has been servicing my Acura and Honda automobiles since the 1980's. I was attracted to them because of their competence, their emphasis on customer service, their honest assessment of what needed to be done and their fair pricing. The only thing that has changed in over 20 years is the size of the shop and some of the staff. Rich, one of the two original owners is still at the helm and runs a great operation.
We've known Rich for years and have taken my car, my husband's and both our daughters cars to him for all maintenance needs. He is so trustworthy, and honest and we have never had a problem with any of our service jobs. We also feel he's one of the best prices in town and one of the nicest people to work with. Rich and his team are first class all the way! Knowledgeable, professional, courteous, thorough, but most importantly, a place of high integrity. Rich and his guys are the ONLY ones I will allow to touch my vehicles. I have 100% trust in Cornerstone and their opinions as it concerns my automobiles. Heck, Rich even counsels me on what to buy when the time comes! And you know what? He hasn't been wrong yet! I can't recommend them enough!!
Been going to him for 7+ years now. Have had quotes from other car repair shops just to compare, he is 99.5% of the time the best priced. Never gotten taken, stands behind their work and is always willing to re-do a job, or cover the cost for misdiagnosis and in-turn unneeded repair. Never had a problem, never been over-charged, always gets the job done. The only con I can give is that they are sometimes backed up, but thats because they have a high retention rate of customers.
