Excellent value, diagnostics and service on all of our Powerstroke diesel pickup trucks, as always. We've used Matt's since 2012 wouldn't consider taking our 4 pickups anywhere else (and we live in southern Louisiana!) Matt's is simply the best.

Matt did a great job! New head gasket and head studs on my son's truck. Communication was fantastic let me know thing he found while doing the work and recommended needed repairs. Was very thorough and finished on schedule
I bought a truck at auction . The motor was particularly apart. Brazos electric was the previous owner. I contact the shop that Brazos electric used to work on there vehicles . I asked what work was being done. The mechanic told me . He was replacing oil pressure pumps , with out any notice the truck was taken to the auction lot.
Matt put the truck back together timely a reasonably price. He did not understand why the mechanic had replaced other than had appeared new . He found no damage indicating the oil pumps had go out or needed replaced. Matt put together it has ran great ever since. Matt did the work over 2 years ago I have not a problem since.

We took the truck over after purchase. He said that he was going to do all this work on it and charged us about $2200, slightly more. We have had trouble since on the things that he was supposed to be doing. So the truck was taken apart and there were actually bolts missing and they had broken the pigtails to the fecum etc. lots of different things undercover! save your money and go somewhere else. Should have known because he was referred by a car dealership that was highly overpriced as well!
Excellent mechanics. Always honest and makes things easy to understand. Matt repaired some bad work completed by someone else. His prices are more than reasonable for top quality work. I will not take my vehicle anywhere else.

Friendly, polite, honest and knowledgeable. Spends more time explaining service and options than I had at any other auto service. I would certainly take my service to Matt again and have no problem recommending him to others.
Honest, knowledgeable, helpful and did I mention honest? If you have a Ford diesel, especially a 6.0, Matt's is the place to go. Literally worth the trip from anywhere (I drive from Austin to Aledo). Matt won't steer you wrong, no upselling or needless work. He doesn't waste time, either. Repairs are done quickly but thoroughly. Matt's shop is also certified so he accepts most extended warranties.
I won't take my truck anywhere else and neither should you. Straight shooter all the way. Will never sell you something that you don't need and prices are the best that you will find for solid work anywhere.
There is no better powerstroke mechanic! Matt is an all around great guy. He has saved me thousands of dollars over the last few years. Just one example, I had an $8,000 repair estimate from a powerstroke shop in Lewisville. I went to Matt for a second opinion. He took the time to point out that half the junk on the other shops repair estimate was not in need of repair and was in good shape. Needless to say Matt has been the only mechanic to work on my truck and will be the only mechanic as far as I am concerned. He has never upsold me, his prices are fair, workmanship is top notch, and has always spent the time to answer my questions no matter how trivial they may be. Don't take your truck anywhere else.
Mad Matt's Diesel Performance is the BEST shop I have ever worked with! I recently bought a 2004 F250 6.0L that I wanted to bullet proof. After doing lots and lots of research online, I stumbled upon Mad Matt's and I am sure glad that I did. From the very beginning, Matt was super helpful! I drove my truck out to him where did a complementary inspection, and then spent well over an hour with us, answering all our questions and explaining to us all of the work he would do and what it would cost. He was direct, honest, and upfront. He really did have our best interest in mind as he even recommended NOT doing certain things that didn't need to be done.
We dropped the truck the end of July, Matt had it for a week, during which he did a ton of work! In addition to the ARP studs, head gasket, new oil cooler, he also put a tuner and monitoring system in the truck. Everything went smoothly, the truck was finished on time and came in within just few dollars of the original estimate.
In addition to the full bullet proof, Matt also fixed a few other problems with the truck, and by so doing helped save me tons of money. For example, prior to taking my truck to Matt's I took my truck to a Ford Dealership for a Transmission service. A week later, when Matt was bullet proofing my truck, Matt caught a mistake the Ford dealership had made. Ford didn't put a spring back into one of the transmission filters. This could have eventually destroyed my transmission costing thousands of dollars. My truck was also pulling hard to the left when braking. Ford wanted to put new pads and rotors on the truck. I decided to hold off and half Matt look at it. So glad I did! Matt told me the rotors and pads looked great, and all that was causing the pull was a caliper pin that was stuck. He fixed the brake problem for $20.
All in all the work they did was top notch! The truck runs great and is an absolute beast with the new SCT tuner. I feel very confident in my 6.0 now that its been studded. Having an Edge Monitoring system also gives me a huge peace of mind knowing I will be able to detect any future problems the second they begin to happen. Mad Matt's Diesel delivered in a big way! I will be going back to Matt for ALL my future services and work. I highly recommend this shop to all Ford Diesel owners everywhere!
