Corpus Christi police detectives are 5-star folks. Had they not been on their A-Game, our family would've lost a precious piece of our Dad to thieves.

Very nice people, never had issues taking vehicles out of the impound and always helpful regarding the details of the situation of why it got impounded.
Getting a car out of impound is never easy and is expensive, but, the people that I dealt with at the impound itself were friendly and helpful. They even, in my opinion, went above and beyond to help me figure everything out. Just remember, you catch more flies with honey than vinegar.
1st lady was super nice and even tried to get in my truck but couldn't. Second call not so much not helpful kept saying system was down couldn't find my truck so 50/50 chance at best
Unfortunately I had to be here to retrieve items from 1 of my son's vehicles but very polite service. She even drove me to his car in a 4 wheeler to retrieve his items and drove me back to my car.
Horrendous!! My vehicle was stolen and recovered by Police 3 days later so it was there. I provided all requested, up-to-date info in person. Explained situation. Also communicated Insuramce would pay tow service and tow would pay and take it to my mechanic for inspection. EVERYDAY they made up excuses to refuse release to tow service. Me, my Insurance, My mechanic, and my tow services would call provide additional forms. ID, etc. At one point Impound demanded cash from tow. Insurance said they'd wire to appropriate bank! Impound Clerk got nervous said NO you can only give me cash in bills!
I called the following day. THAT clerk said ...we accept all credit cards but not AMEX. Things that make you go hmmm!! I asked do you need ANYTHING, ANYTHING ELSE!! Answer "No you are all Good. Tow can retrieve your vehicle tomorrow." ...FIVE more days of lies and made up needs and forms!!
ELEVEN days later... Insurance called the Supervisor and had to threaten reporting this to the City and State!!
It should have been in Impound 3 days it was 12!!
Horrible. Rude, Crooks!! And shockingly it's the police impound. No fault and utmost respect to the men and women in blue. God bless and keep you. But this Impound should be completely audited, revamped, and retrained appropriately!!
AWFUL EXPERIENCE NO FAULT OF MY OWN!! MY VEHICLE WAS STOLEN and this place was actually WORSE than that happening!!
The woman assistant has given us the wrong number as far as the stolen vehicle number. The lack of proper assistance from them has given me nothing but lost in conference for the authorities.
2 employees, one very nice, helpful, one is very rude, and laking any sort of customer service skills. The rude one needs to remember who is paying his salary, and if he is a police officer he forgot the "protect and serve" part of his job description. He should be reprimanded or fired. It wasn't just my interaction with this incompetent employee, he was rude and dismissive to another while I was there. This was a tough experience and the rude one made it worse. Props to the kind gentleman.
Very impolite staff I took lady here too get items from her car. It was a locked makeup box she gave code to open ,and clerk mashed the lock then handed it to her. Had her anti seizure meds in it.
The Corpus Christi impound lot is located on Greenwood Drive between Holly Rd and South Padre Island Drive on the city's westside. Some people don't like the place because it's where you go to retrieve your car after its been impounded. I don't have anything bad to say and I've had my car impounded or I've gone with someone else and all I can say have the money and paperwork ready and you'll be out of there fast.
Charged me $50 to send out a certified letter letting me know my car was in the impound (like I didn't know it was there), although I never got it. Also, they don't take debit cards... only cash. They won't let you change a tire if it's after dark. All around horrible attitudes.
If i could post zero stars i would. They impou ded our car after it was stolen. The price to pick up from impound was more than the car costs. Wouldnt take payments, wouldnt work with us at all... Car was pretty much stolen twice. This place is terrible!
