I purchased a 4l80e transmission from cindy, back in june 2020. It was out of a 96 van. I know its old. I had it sitting in my garage up until 12-12 ..a few days ago. I took it to the shop to install it and was excited to finally get my truck back in working order seeing as how i finally had enough money to have labor done. Well i get a phone call from the shop asking about the transmission. I stated i got it at a junk yard back in april and it came out of a van 96. They then told me that whoever sold it to me sold me a P.O.S. it only goes into reverse and will not go forward. They would have to tear it down to see what the issue is. I was upset. I called cindy at Als auto parts and she was very rude. She kept repeating herself stating that i only had a 30 day warranty and anything after that is not covered. Keep in mind i called about a week later about the missing dipstick which she stated are rarely included. I should have known at that time that this was a fly by night part seller. She didnt offer anything at all to ease the situation. She went straight to offense and said it was all my fault because i had 30 days and thats it. She couldnt do anything. I will never buy from this shade tree shop again and i will include a more detailed recorded conversation on my blog page.

I had a lot of questions concerning 1-ton axles and Cindy was a total pleasure to work with. She took very good care of me. Patient, helpful, and went out of their way to make sure I got what I was looking for. I couldn't have asked for better customer service.
