Been here a couple times and it really feels like they cheap you out of whatever you bring, for example I brought a whole oven and got like 7 bucks out of it. However they are relatively friendly and patient as well as you get paid for trash you wont do anything with. If youre willing to go somewhere else then do so however its a little more convenient for me so I'll continue going here.
Just brought up some cans to recycle, and they shorted us on the weight by close to half. 5 55 gallon bags( taped not tied shut at the top) and 3 42 gallon bags. Filled the hopper twice and rang us up 136 lbs. My uncle is blind and not computer savvy, they don’t do fair business. Be weary of dealing with such folk.
Don’t take your scrap metal here. This place cheats you out of money. They paid me for loose tin and I didn’t have a single piece of tin in my load. When I when I went in to tell them about it, they refused to make it good. Of course they had me dump in a huge hole so there is no way to prove what you brought.
The new employees are the hardest working and more than willing to help you unload. The inside staff are so wonderful. They give me water or popcycle everytime I make load. Would not go to any other recycler. Y'all are the best!!!! Kristina Hampton
Rude staff (lady in the office is the only good employee), they always have some excuse as to why they can't help unload. They WILL tear up your trailer and laugh about it. Save yourself the trouble and go to Marble Falls or Killeen.
Thought I’d leave a review place is decent Kandas was very helpful but the guy Jacob is a real piece of work drunk all the time bad attitude corporate needs to get rid of him immediately
Horrible attitudes, non helpful staff, and poor excuse for damaging equipment. If you arent capable of operating machinery then dont. If you arent capable of going to work and having a decent attitude, then dont. If you arent capable of making right the damage you have done to a vehicle or trailer that's trusted you and your business, close your doors and call it quits. Disgusted by their lack of caring about anything but themselves.
Best scrap yard in Texas. People are always friendly and knowledgeable. I've almost received a degree in metallurgy thanks to Aaron!! Great people, all the time.
I was told that I had to unload a trailer FULL of scrap by hand by myself because they couldn't use the tractor with the claw. After 45 minutes an office manager approached me asking what I was doing. When I told him he walked inside and out came a worker in a hurry, turned on the machine and unloaded the rest of the scrap.
They just plain didn't want to do their job. I was also told I should go to the 195 scrap yard instead.
The place was not busy but the worker made it seem like I was in their way.

It was my first time at this scrap yard, I had a trailer full of aluminum siding along with copper and steel. I must have been in the wrong lane the whole time. But the staff there were really nice and helped me get unloaded and back to the front. Super nice place and personnel, however, I thought the price paid was a little low. Other than that, the place was great..easy in and out, even if it's your first time..
Was a fair price when I moved here, but has since dropped prices drastically. But that comes with the territory. Would have been 5 stars if it weren't for 2 things. 1. If your hours are listed to be open 8am-5pm be open, dont close at 4:30 or 4:45. And 2. the yard guy (the young one with the ridiculous looking beard) could be a little less rude to the customers. He acts as though he has something to prove, but yet looks a fool when he is proven wrong. Without scrap metal customers you have no scrap yard.
The people are rude and inconsiderate the metal yard is in shambles meaning there's things in the roadway that you can pop your tires on wouldn't even take the metal that I brought do to it was too close to closing time. I will never bring anything out here again I damn near ran out of gas trying to get there
The retired vet in the cash office is one of the happiest, friendliest men I've ever met. A couple of the guys that unloads your metals though are polar opposite.
