Apparently they don’t know how to tighten lug nuts properly, I felt swaying while driving and thought I was going crazy. Went home and surprise surprise my two front tires were loose. Insane.
Interesting thing happened- I did a free air check for my car here then went home and parked car... and in few hours I had to replace one of the tyres...
Went in for a nail in one tire. They said side wall was damaged by driving with low pressure in tire. They recommended a new tire. There was no noticeable damage to the tire but maybe they were right. Then with one tire new and "taller" than the other tire, which had about 10k miles on it, they recommended changing out the other tire so the new one wouldn't wear faster being it's taller. Maybe tech correct. But what about throwing away a tire with only 10k miles on it, lost value. My son brought the car in. Seemed they only wanted to sell new tires and took advantage of a less knowledgeable person.
I arrived 45 minutes before I appointment. They were able to get me in early, I was done before my scheduled appointment time. Very professional as well
I spent $1600 on new tires and was out the door in under 45 minutes. Super fast when you’re paying. But I noticed a slight wobble at around 55 mph and came back two days later to get it looked at. Now I’m told there’s a two-hour wait or I need to make an appointment. There were even more people here the first time when I got the tires. They’re quick to help when you’re spending money, not so much when you’re just trying to get something fixed. Smh.
I’ve never done a review this FAST. My salesman KOLTER greated me, then went to asses tires. I’m on my last rotation. My truck is a 3500 dually.
Kolter was quick to give me an option to swap side to side or do a real rotation (front to rear inside, inside to out, out to front) but it was going to take at least 3 hours cause he had 2 shop guys that didn’t show up. I told him the side to side swap is USELESS but do whatever, I don’t want to spend 3 hours waiting when I set my appointment a week out.
I thought that was the end of it. LESS than 1 hour later KOLTER came to me with my keys. HE ROTATED/BALANCED THE TIRES CORRECTLY HIMSELF.
He will spend the rest of the day smelling a lot worse than his other office salesman cause he chose to take matters into his own hands and make his customer HAPPY/SATISFIED.
Y’all better KEEP KOLTER HAPPY, you’re LUCKY to have him.

Was told tires would be in two hours never gota call that they had arrived. Waited 4.5 hours went back to see if they had come in. they had and i never received a call from Tyler( the gentleman that sold me the tires). I asked for one of my old tires to be put on the spare rim. The shop hands told me the truck was done. Spare hadn't been put on, and the young man that was installing my tires started getting loud with me wanting to move my truck out of the bay to put the spare on. I told him, " no the trucks not coming out until the job is done." I had to get management. Worst experience ive ever had with customer service.
They get the job done, but the service has never been consistent. In this instance, I received a text message the next day, to tell me my car was ready.
Bought tires online. I called the day before my appointment to make sure that the tires came in. By the next morning, my tires are no where to be found and they want to sell me something else instead of having multiple people looking to fix their mistake. I have been waiting for an hour, having 5 new customers come in and get done while I'm stuck waiting because they don't want to look. As I'm writing this, 3 workers are just standing upfront talking to themselves
I went to get my tires changed. I don't know about tires but I guess that's my fault. So I asked them to leave the front tire for my passenger side. I wanted to keep that tire. They told me yes. When I got home they did not leave the tire I asked. They gave me a completely different tire. So sad we can't trust a business with what was asked of them. Not good business ethics Discount Tire.
The worst customer service.
I dropped in today to purchase 2 new tires and rotate the back.
I watched the young man move my car from the parking spot into the bay.
I also watched as a few other customers who came in after me, leave before me.
Each time a young man pulled their vehicles up to the door, which I was facing, and called their name to let them know their vehicle was ready.
My car was never pulled up.
And there was never more than 4 customers in the store at any given time.
After almost 2 hours I asked about my car.
It was ready. It had been ready!
I tried to leave but couldn't find my car.
After asking, a young man pointed to the back of the store, in the Lowes parking lot!
Not only did they not pull my car around, they did not tell me it was ready, but then they parked it in another business' parking lot.
There were several spots open at the store. Absolutely no reason to park my car at another business.... other than I didn't purchase 4 new tires.
I guess they showed me.
If you have 4 people working the counter and only 4 people in the store and you don't realize a customer has been sitting for almost 2 hours.... maybe customer service isn't for you.
They need to hire people that actually KNOW what they are doing. They now have screwed up balancing my wifes tires TWICE now. She took it to a mechanics shop, and they verified it. Will go somewhere else until they hire people that actually care to do their work. I suggest others go elsewhere.
Bought tires there with warranty. Never used it until of course one started to go low. Had to go in there twice and according to them tire had no issue. Blamed the rim… of course so they wouldn’t have to replace it.
Took my truck in for a patch. Told them the tire to check and that I wanted it patched. Over an hour wait and they call me to get my truck. I asked how much do I owe and they replied "no charge for air". I thought it was weird but said cool cause I had a busy day. Later tire went flat again. They didn't patch it and almost had me stranded. Thanks Firestone on nederland avenue for saving the day.
I first came here like a year ago because my front tire hit a pot hole and needed to be replaced immediately, I only came here because it was the absolute closest thing to my job and it was unsafe driving my car elsewhere. For context I’m a female but not stupid, modica brothers and American tires have never tried to scam me based off of this fact but right off the bat I had a feeling this wouldn’t be the case here.
Upon arriving I explained the situation, the man immediately tells me all of my tires are an HUGE road hazard because they are essentially bald. I had just gotten these tires changed at modica brothers literally a month prior to this and I only drive 9 minutes to work and back, he seriously tried to tell me that modica brothers scammed me and sold me bald tires instead of new ones. he doubles down instead of accepting the fact that I won’t give in to paying to change basically new tires.
He then got another employee to harass me and tell the same thing, I would “die” if I drive these “bald” tires. I finally get them off my back after having to get my husband on the phone to confirm that the tires are new and also under warranty so if they are really as bad as they claimed they were than modica bros would replace them under warranty.
Only after my husband talks to him on the phone do they drop the scam attempt of trying to force 4 new tires, I’ve wasted about an hour at this point and my car hasn’t even been touched by any mechanic. Before I sit and wait I explain in detail where my cars tire lock key is and ask them to not go through the rest of my compartments because it’s not in there. They either assumed since I was a woman I didn’t know what a tire lock key is, wanted to go through my car anyways or both because after waiting for another 30 minutes I have a guy come out and tell me that my tire lock key can not be found, I go myself to retrieve it and ALL my glove box, center console and SEAT POCKETS have been rummaged through and they just threw my belongings all over the car.
After 2 hours they work on it and return the car with the trunk not closed and a my belongings thrown everywhere.
My husband tried to come here again his car and was told that his tires are completely dry rotted and all of them need to be replaced. He only went there for air and they refused to give it to him until agreed to replace the tires. Again, these are fairly new tires, he had all the paperwork from modica brothers in the glove box proving they are new and when they were changed but they wouldn’t drop the scam attempt. Don’t go here ever!
I had a nail in my tire and brought my truck in to get it repaired. The guy went to check my tire and came in with a device that said rear tires were "shot" and not any good. As you can see from the pictures I uploaded, there is NOTHING wrong with any of my tires. I took it to a place on 32nd street where they promptly plugged my tire. About a month prior, I sent my son to replace 1 tire and ended up buying 3! They said his tires were dangerously damaged! I am disappointed in this location and will NEVER purchase another tire. It is ashamed when you exaggerate just to get tire sales. Shame on them!
Made a 3:00pm 4/5/24 appointment and left work EARLY to rotate and balance the set of GY Tires I bought with DC Tires in Nederland TX. Get there at 2:45pm and this guy greets me as I’m parking. I told him I have an appointment to rotate and balance my tires. He looks at my tires and says they can’t because my tires are too worn. I’m like TOO WORN ? Are you serious? He then says “but we can make you a deal on a new set” and I’m like are you FREAKING serious? But that’s not the worst of it, I asked to speak to the manager and HE WAS THE MANAGER !!!! And now I’m thinking OMG this is our future. So now we have a guy who probably just graduated from high school, telling a 53 year old man his tires on his truck is too worn to FREAKING rotate and balance. Well God bless America folks, because if this is our future we’re in serious trouble and will need his help, especially when you pay almost a thousand dollars for a set of tires and you can’t even get them rotated and balanced at the place you bought them without some kid saying they can’t because you need a new set. I will “WALK” before I ever go back to these guys.
Had this incident happen to me, where the nails were too close to the sidewall. I bought these tires at this location with the hazard warranty that they offer which covers this, when I showed up they were making excuses as to why they couldn’t warranty them. What’s the point of having the warranty if they’re not going to honor it? Wouldn’t recommend you buy from here!!!
This place used to be great, unfortunately they have gone downhill the last couple of years and are totally incompetent now. I brought my vehicle in for a rotation and balance, 2 screw punctures fixed, and a TPMS replacement. Long story short, the technician didn't get the instructions to replace the TPMS, nor did he fix the screws that remain in my tires. I went inside to ask Angel at the front desk about why he didn't speak to the tech about what services to perform on my truck, and while he's trying to tell me they can pull my truck back in to replace the TPMS, Sergio (the manager?) hears us and says the TPMS for my truck isn't in stock and would have to be ordered. I express my frustration for the terrible lack of communication, and how every time I visit Discount Tire there always seems to be some kind of issue (they've already replaced two of my wheels from scratching them while balancing). And all Sergio can say is, "I'm sorry you feel that way." The only reason I keep going back in there is because my wife and I paid for life time rotation and balancing from them on the current tires we have, and I kept thinking maybe they were just in a temporary funk for a while. Years ago this place was great, not anymore.
Lazy is all this location is. I don’t had problem with discount tire service but their laziness is what I can’t tolerate.. 5 cars are in line for air check and 6 employees are running here and there. It’s not even that busy time and yet I have to stand 1 hour in a line of 5 cars just for air check? Whoever is the supervisor of this location really need to do something instead of being a ac office all day.
They called and asked about my rims cause they are rhino lined and said if you want us to keep going I said go for it. Just don’t scratch deep in my rim. Because I can just get the paint re sprayed. Well this happened so if u actually like your rims don’t bring them here. Worst experience. Plus they couldn’t air up my tires cause they were 35’s or some bs. So they kept my truck over night and had no choice to get a hotel. DONT BRING YOUR VEHICLES HERE!!!
