Went here with my Dodge Ram and Ryan had amazing customer service answering all my questions concerning my transmission which I ended up replacing. Was able to get my truck in and out in very timely fashion and really took a lot a lot of stress off my shoulders. Thx Ryan! I highly recommend taking your vehicle here when needed.

I called Wimberley Automotive about my old Ford Expedition engine missing and Ryan told me to bring it into the shop. They were able to quickly find the problem and fix it the same day. If your looking for an honest hard working automotive shop don't go anywhere else!! These guys know what their doing and for a fair price. Ryan worked on my 4 Runner last week. I took it in as it had some issues. They diagnosed it and repaired it perfectly ! My car now drives like a dream….as if it was new ! Wimberley Automotive is very professional and trustworthy.

Ryan and Rob are absolutely amazing. On Christmas day, my Hyundai Santa Fe ran out of oil on my way to Dripping Springs (on RR12/the autobahn). All of my indicater lights came on and I lost all acceleration. I eventually got it to Ryan, who was skeptical that it could even be fixed, throwing out the possibility of needing a new engine or a new car (heavy sigh). Well...he fixed it! He went way above and beyond what I think most other shops/mechanics would have done. He worked on my car for hours and took it for 2 test drives and communicated with me through the entire process. Every experience that I have had over the last 3 years has taught me this: He is HONEST, he is REASONABLE, and perhaps most importantly, he is a man of INTEGRITY. He communicates well, shows me pictures of everything they do to justify the price of the work, and his prices are very reasonable. You can't go wrong with Ryan and Rob.

A couple of years ago I inherited my Dad’s old 1999 Chevy truck with over 300k miles and wasn’t really sure what to do with it. I honestly was overwhelmed with where to start and hate dealing with automotive repairs. The truck either needed some serious TLC or put out to pasture. I met Ryan and he made the entire process so easy. I dropped the truck off and later that day he had a list of everything that needed to be done that would bring it back to life. He gave me a very fair price and let me know when to expect the work to be complete. He checked in with me several times during the process to let me know how things were going and that he was still on schedule. They replaced the tires, every filter, oil change, new A/C system, wiper blades, fuel additive, new headlights, and front end work. The truck runs fantastic and it’s hard to believe it’s 25 years old! I hate to say this, but I have a brand new SUV and I think the truck drives and handles much better. I can’t thank Wimberley Automotive and Ryan enough. It was pretty emotional for me and I know my dad would be very pleased with the quality of work and customer service level I received.

Just got my car back from Wimberley Automotive. Ryan took care of me again very professionally as well as economically. I have used them several times over the years and have always been pleased with the service and how quickly he gets it done. I always prefer using local companies but they are better anyway from having to drive to Austin or San Antonio. Even though my ten year old car has 128,000 miles on it it is running as good as a new one. Thanks again guys!

I had an excellent experience at Wimberley Automotive. My car alarm was randomly triggering during the night — a tricky issue to diagnose since it could not be reproduced easily, but Ryan and his team were thorough in their investigation and figured it out. Highly recommended.

I am so thankful I finally found Ryan and Wimberley Automotive and Tire a little over a year ago. I own a pet services company which involves a lot of wear and tear on my car. Aside from oil changes and new tires, I never did much upkeep on my car because I was so overwhelmed by the process of finding a repair place I could trust. Ryan has been an answered prayer. He's clear, fair and direct about what needs to be done to keep my Pilot safely on the road for as long as possible. He has done the timing belt, brakes, fixed oil leaks and an almost complete rebuild of my suspension. My car is driving like a dream, and he did it all at a very fair price (I double checked with my out-of-state mechanic brother and he confirmed that Ryan's prices are great). I no longer break out in a cold sweat when something goes wrong with my vehicle. I know Ryan will be there to help me through it.

Amazing prices, very knowledgeable and no pressure to do additional services. Ryan and his team are both former Ford mechanics. He provides top quality service and cares about your safety without the greed and overhead of the dealerships. No credit cards accepted but prices are very affordable. Brought in a 160,000+ mile truck and it left running better than I've ever heard it. Don't buy a new truck, bring it to these guys.

This was my second experience with Wimberley Automotive and the level of service is top notch. Ryan has the knowledge and experience we all love to find in a mechanic yet rarely do. He is timely, honest, thorough, capable, and communicative. I like that Ryan under promises and over delivers!

Service was fast and price was as expected. 5 stars in that area. Be aware you must pay with a LOCAL check, i.e., Wimberley, Dripping Springs, Driftwood. No Austin bank and no credit card. Just so you know and won't be surprised. I'm hopeful Ryan will accept my review as it was intended and perhaps modify his policies to become more user friendly to his customers.

These guys are hands down THE BEST! After towing my son's truck to one shop that said they were unable to do the repair, we then took it to a 2nd shop that had his truck for a week, told us that the part needed was not available anymore and said it would be a very expensive, lengthy repair and quoted a crazy high price. I called Ryan and based on what I told him was happening with the vehicle, he said that he thought he knew what the problem was and said to bring it in. We took the truck to Wimberley Automotive and had the truck back, repaired in 24 hours for half the price! They are extremely knowledgeable, experienced and fairly priced and I highly recommended them! We are SO lucky that they are right here in Wimberley! ,

Our minivan broke down on our vacation to Wimberley. Not only did Ryan fix major issues (pump, alternator, and serpentine belt), he completed it in about five hours and at a good price. He kept our vacation from being ruined. Also, Ryan is well-respected in the community, which means a lot to me, too. Thank you for your help and keep up the great work!

Had a fuel pump go out on a Jeep and they were able to diagnose, acquire the parts, and do the repair quickly and for a fair price. Communication was excellent throughout and feel fortunate there is an honest, high quality, reasonably priced mechanic here in Wimberley. Heard great things about these guys from multiple friends and I’m glad I listened to them. From the first call Ryan was excited for my business, asked questions and listened to what I had to say. He was honest with his assessment of what he thought was going on based on our discussion and set some expectations, which I thought were fair. I got my car back quickly and that is because he was spot on with his assessment. I feel I paid a great price for the work I had done, issues with the engine and electrical system. Car is fixed, clean, and running great. Ryan & Rob really take pride in their work and it shows. It’s nice to have a quality local shop with great technicians like Ryan & Rob and I will be back for sure.

Was from out of town and needed the alternator replaced. I realize that this is not the most complicated of repairs. The five stars is for the owner's sense of urgency to get the repair done in a timely manner. I had a tight deadline. He was excellent in communicating and setting expectations as to what might be possible in terms of timing. Also, I had run the battery all the way down. So, I expected that I had killed it altogether, but the owner managed to get it to take a charge. He gets an extra star for honesty. It would have been very easy to have sold me a new battery. The owner also refereed me to a towing company that was able to get the car to him quickly. The cost of the alternator replacement was lower than I expected, and the cost of towing was in line with the typical cost for the type of car and distance. What else can I say? If I lived in Wimberley, I would be one of his regular customers.
