Cory and Carol are amazing. Fair and honest with pricing. I take both my personal cars and work car here for maintenance and any repairs that I need.

I came here in an emergency as I was driving from Colorado Springs to Dallas. I had some damage done to my car on the highway that made it impossible to drive over 45mph and I was dreading having to finish my drive at that speed. Cory had me back on the road in 20 minutes flat and I managed to make it safely home and on time. His shop was a godsend and they're extremely kind and caring.

On our way to Colorado Thursday one of our RV’s right trailer tire started loosing air fast and set the alarm off on the TPMS monitor. I was able to pull off a two lane road, without a shoulder, into a small picnic area and put the spare on. Then in about 2 miles further down the road a tire on the left side started going flat. Before it was totally out of air, coming into a town I was able to pull into Wild Coyote Country Store. The owner said we could park the trailer there while we took the tire to be repaired, he even offered to help! The fast sudden loss of air was due to deteriorating valve stems. We greatly appreciated the hospitality of this small business owner!

Lifesavers On July 8, 2025 I was driving from Colorado to Texas with my 6 year old daughter. My check engine light came on, then my red low oil pressure light came on. I immediately pulled into The Wild Coyote. Cory and Carol helped me to get back on the road. It took about 4 1/2 hours and he had to drive 30 miles to get the oil filter I needed. They put cartoons on for my daughter and Carol offered her water & twinkies while we waited. They got us back on the road, and even documented the damage with photos and oil samples. My engine needs to be repaired/replaced due to the damage, but Cory made sure I had all the info I needed to pursue a claim. They kept us safe and sent us on our way with a more than reasonable fee. I am so grateful for them. Thank you Cory & Carol

This is your stop for auto parts, tools, repairs, etc! Cory and Carol were an absolute delight during a really stressful time for us. We ultimately needed a whole new engine and they took on the job all while letting us stay in our trailer in their parking lot! I commend them for their knowledge, kindness, generosity, and honest, hard work. We are back on the road and confidently cruising! I don’t know that you will find a more knowledgeable, kind, hardworking, honest mechanic anywhere! We are so glad to be back on the road but at the same time it was sad to leave them!

I pulled in late at night with a smoked wheel bearing on my trailer. The shop was still open and the owners let me stay in my trailer over night and then they worked on my trailer in the morning. They are outstanding people, they were extremely helpful and honest and did their best to help me out quickly. I was back on the road the next day without a worry.

Super quick, friendly service at a great price! Corey even gave me a ride so I could go to work while he fixed up my car. Got me back up and running with same-day service. Great folks, great work -- highly recommend!

Wild Coyote Country Store is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for something special. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a perfect mix of rustic charm and local character. The selection here is incredible—whether you’re looking for unique gifts, high-quality snacks, or just a fun place to stop and browse, this place has it all. Everything felt thoughtfully curated, and the service was top-notch. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Not only was the shopping experience great, but the whole visit was just a good time. It’s one of those places where you walk in for one thing and end up leaving with a bag full of treasures you didn’t even know you needed. If you’re anywhere near the area, do yourself a favor and stop by Wild Coyote Country Store—you won’t regret it!

They worked on our 2013 Ford Explorer. The Cv axel had broke, and they replaced both axels, the serpentine belt, both front brakes and rotors. When we got the car back, the cover underneath the car was not put back properly because the bolts holding it on were broken, and the cover came off while going down the road. The mechanic came out to where the vehicle was stopped, and told us we would need to replace the bolts for the cover to go back on. At that point, the mechanic informed us that we had an oil leak that he was not paid to fix. The front driver's side brake squeaked when the brakes were applied. In less than a month, we lost the serpentine belt again because when the axle broke, it damaged the harmonic balancer. It also hit the timing belt cover and put a hole in it so that is where we were leaking oil. On top of what we paid him to fix our car, we have had it back in a shop twice to complete the work he didn't do or tell us about. I am currently sitting at a different shop to replace the front driver's brake because when the bake pad was installed, the clip got bent and was rubbing on the rotor. This caused the brake pad to separate from the brake.

Cory did a great great job quickly! He rescued us from the roadside and was able to diagnose and fix to get us back on the road.

My truck broke down right in front of Cory's place. He came out and asked me what happened. I told him it just quit running. He then offered to tow it across the road to his garage. When I asked him what that would cost, he said nothing. He analyzed the problem as being the fuel pump. He got one ordered and delivered them he stayed until late into the night to get me on the road so I could get to work the next day. You just don't see this kind of service anymore. If I could give him 10 stars, I would.

Just the nicest, most hospitable people ever. I realized I needed to use the restroom awhile after Amarillo, and NOTHING was open or around, anywhere. My options were to go backward almost an hour, detour 45 minutes, or... the side of the road. I saw the open sign, asked, and they graciously allowed it despite being very busy. Kind gestures are everything these days.

We were on our way to Colorado from Austin and a family in our group started having tire issues. Of course it was a Sunday and couldn’t find anyone to help. We were just outside of Channing and searching anything close and called Wild Coyote Country Store. Mr. Cory came to our location, changed our tires and helped us get back on the road. We stopped by his shop as we came through Channing so he could check everyone’s tires. Thank you Mr. Cory! Definitely highly recommended!!

We were returning home on a roadtrip from Colorado and had a minor accident on the morning of our last day. It felt like one problem after another, until we finally (luckily) had to stop outside Channing. Mr Corey was our knight in shining armor. He was very kind, jumped right into action (he had been in the middle of dinner) and did some quick repairs that allowed us to continue on our journey. Even showed us some cool features in his shop and made sure we had cool drinks before we left. If you ever drive through Channing, stop by and say Hello. And if you happen to break down nearby, thank your lucky stars.

Mr. Cory helped me when I hydroplaned my car and was stranded far from home. Incredibly kind person and very knowledgeable and experienced mechanic. Just a great human being as well. Could not recommend more if you are in this part of Texas and are in need of car repair.

On our way back to LA from a vacation in Colorado, we started having tire pressure issues. Discovered a cracked valve stem. Called Mr. Cory at Wild Coyote Country Store, explained to him our issue. He picked up the part, we meet him at his shop which was under construction and in his words was a mess but I can assure you we felt like it was the greatest place in the world, he fixed our tire issue in a jiffy and we were back on our way home. Very reasonable cost, just a great person. Thank you so very much Mr. Cory. We would definitely recommend him to anyone!!
