I guess my expectations were too high based on their rates, but I expected more than I got. First, I didn't see anything on their instructions to put my car in neutral. I had to ask the guy 3 times before he heard me. Luckily, I went to another (better) car wash a few weeks ago that gave better instructions. Second, there doesn't seem to be a way to get to the vacuum area. On both sides of the entrance are signs that say to not enter, exit only. I guess everyone else ignores those signs, since there were plenty of people vacuuming their cars. I didn't like the uncertainly and bad signage. Then I looked at my car. It did look clean and shiny but had major water spots on the hood. Disappointed. I wasn't going back, but it seems that maybe the prices are cheaper on Mondays, so I'll give them one more chance. If the prices are the same, I'll leave and never go back.

Complete waste of money and disrespectful customer service. I paid $16 for a car wash and within 3 minutes of arriving home noticed large visible areas that were not cleaned at all despite doing the above basic wash.
Turned right back around to ask to go through the wash again but the staff would not let me since “there was no proof” I did not dirty the car myself after leaving the wash despite coming back within 5 minutes. They refused to let me through the wash again or let me have a refund. I was expected as a customer to inspect my vehicle for dirt or damage prior to leaving the establishment even though there are no postings of that anywhere. ALSO WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO INSPECT MY CAR FOR DIRT AFTER A DELUXE WASH AT ALL?!
I recommend any other wash where attention to detail and customer satisfaction is placed as a top priority.
Expensive, half decent car wash. You pretty much have to prewash your car then wipe it down afterwards your self. But they have free rags so it’s the only saving grace because it will miss tons of spots
Quick and easy. Signed up for the unlimited washes. Vacuum’s and towels available to clean everything inside and out. Hasn’t been too crowded in the few times I’ve washed my car
It was ok for my chevy 4 wheel drive truck. The wheels are still dirty. If your wheels have any offset and aren't flat with ur tire ur wheels will still be left dirty. I think they should pre-spray and scrub wheels such as this b4 going thru the carwash. Everything else was ok.
Have to clean wheels myself tomorrow.
I’ve now given this place three chances. My first two times I chose the ceramic wash; both times my truck barely looked washed after. The first time worse than the second as it was dirtier, so thinking maybe it was just the state of my truck I chose to come back one last time a week after my second wash here. I chose the most expensive wash this time since I had just washed it, and again my truck looks exactly the way it did before. I’ve wasted a total of $60 dollars at this wash now, and certainly will not be back again. I can spend $45 for a full detail hand wash at G-Spot, and my truck would actually look and be clean inside and out; PLUS I wouldn’t have to lift a finger. Honestly should have asked for a refund today; another $25 wasted at Rich’s! NEVER… AGAIN!
Quick car wash that does the job. I go here a couple times a month. They offer affordable car wash plans. I appreciate the towels available to borrow for wiping down the car and left over bug guts. No complaints.
I am a transplanted resident from the Northwest, so it took a while to find the right car wash after trying several others. Hurrah!!! This takes a little more out of my wallet, however, I have gratefully settled here at Riches!! I am at this point in my early 60"s and find that with some health issues I have to TAKE MY TIME in order to get my small SUV looking beautiful.
First I prep by using the usuall clean brush and water to de-bug and prep the rims. Trust me, I have traded pine needles for huge deceased Texas bugs everywhere. Then comes a standard car wash and forced air dry (which I always wish lasted longer at any carwash). I have found the staff almost always seems genuinely helpful and considerate. But to me, the finishing up stage goes way above standard.
Again, I GET TO TAKE MY TIME and in no way have ever been made to feel rushed . I am a total novice auto detailer, but I know what looks great. I use the gentle but forceful enough air hose to blow out the air conditioning vents and around electronics, along with the seats and seams in between that gathers dust and food particles. Simply, my favorite part is that I can VACUUM TO MY HEART'S DESIRE!! It's almost patriotic working alongside fellow Americans sweating towards a common goal.
They also provide an abundant supply of damp drying towels, trusting that you return them to the dirty barrel . Thankfully, there is also a popular matt wash and drying machine as well.
So, to wrap it up, I highly recommend Rich's carwash -from the outside to the inside your vehicle will be well served especially given the relaxed atmosphere yet genuinely "on the spot" (to quote Seniors) helpful staff. Thank you Rich's.
I forgot to take some photos! But, when I first started coming to this carwash I thought that it was great. But after 3 months of membership, I can safely say I was wrong.
First off the best monthly membership is amazing even if you only wash your car twice per month. With that being said, I think that I was jaded those first two months. I would wash my car, dry it, then work on the insides. After that I would wash and dry once more. This last month, that extra wash at the same time frame was not allowed (I know it’s supposed to be an unlimited membership but idk!) This had me thinking, I shouldn’t even feel like I need to have a second wash when I pay for the top tier, and especially when I go at least once per week. (The reason I would do a double wash is because the windows would not be very clean.. at all. And even after doing a prewash manually, the front still had way too much dirt/ debris.)
Okay so they offer towels with products on them for us to use… I’m not sure what is actually on these towels; plus they are way to hard to find. So the last few things that made me cancel my membership was the fact that some of the compressed air hoses and vacuums are already failing to do what they are designed to do. And last but not least; They never have a substantial amount of complimentary air fresheners. And NEVER have had a variety. It might not seam like a big thing, but it is pretty disappointing when you finish your whole wash you still have to go spend 3 more bucks for an air freshener that was supposed to be free with the $40 monthly service you pay for.
All in all it’s an alright location , and the machine does a 3 out of 5 job. The customer service is amazing I wish I could just give 5 stars for that. The service I paid for though is not to anyone’s standards much less mine.
Does a great job cleaning your vehicle after the beach and much cheaper than the car washes in Houston. The top tier was only $20. I'll be a repeat customer for sure!
This place is so friendly I'm so glad that I have a membership here. Today was my first day of my membership and I locked my keys in my vehicle and Mr Joseph went above and beyond for me! Not only did he call AAA for me and get my car unlocked, he kept me informed, continuously checked on me, he was super friendly, and really ease my anxiety I appreciate him so much and this business!!!!!
Pulled in with no wait. Employee at the kiosk explained the payment plans and I chose the $20 package. Excellent wash and the ceramic coat was worth it. Will probably get a monthly package deal eventually.
UPDATE a year later. Shop has had a recent change in management and a lot of new faces over the last year. Still the only fully automatic car wash in TC and always a little busy, but cars move right through quickly. I have three different cars on the package plans now and visit here several times weekly. I have no complaints at all. After reading some of the lower star reviews I can’t help but wonder what people expect. The one guy that complained about his tailgate not being clean enough? Really, you have a tow hitch sticking out in the photos so, daaaa, they are going to retract the brushes so they don’t rip apart and damage your truck; you are welcome. Never mind the sign on the way in asking you to remove the hitch! Anyway, great car wash with professional and courteous and employees. Will continue visiting them.
Not even remotely impressed by this car wash. First we live on the beach or within a very few miles of it. Why would you not have an undercarriage wash second although the guy that was helping me was friendly, he selected the wash I didn’t want and we couldn’t change it. We couldn’t add on clean my tires. Overall, I did not feel it did a good job on my truck and a downright pitiful job on the tailgate area. I will add that I even hosed off the majority of dirt and sand at home before I brought the truck to the car wash. Where it dried on the windows, it is definitely speckled.
My local car wash. Always clean. I always get a hello and welcome greeting from the staff. Never have problems with the this place at all.
The customers are a different story. Always driving in backwards to use the vacuums so they won't have to pay or buy a membership. They steal towels every day which is a courtesy it's not required for them to give us. Such a shame we have to ruin something nice.
Honesty at its finest! We sucked up $50 with the vacuum. The the young man said he couldn’t check it at the moment because he would have had to shut down the whole side and other customers where there. He took our info and promised he would check and call us if he did, and not to long after he called us saying he found it. Great customer service. Marquez is a true young man with great moral values. He even got a tip from my husband! We could of cared less about loosing it but knowing there are good people out there says a lot about a company
Quality products, excellent and friendly customer service! The manager Levi goes above and beyond and gives 110% for every customer. Personally, I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Good car wash, but with they had a detailing service we could occasionally do. Have a membership at 40/mo, probably a little high but much better than the place across the street in service.
Would also be nice to have the hand towel drying like their competitors
Very nice car wash! I would have to say the best in Galveston county. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Can't beat the prices you get a good bang for your buck. LEVI the manger was very professional and helpful kudos to (LEVI) KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK..
Levi is a great manager over this place. He has excellent customer service and overall the car wash is always clean and a safe environment. They also provide towels to wipe your car down or do whatever you need to do to your car which is very convenient.
I love going here, I bought the monthly plan. I love all the services they have, like the free vacuum and air hose, and towels to dry your car. You can even ask for a free air freshener. The only issue I had, was one time, I had a lot of sand in my wheel wells, and thought the wash would clean it out, but it was still dirty after wash. We said something to manager, and he let me run it through again. I love the fact that I can go there as often as I like in a month, because my truck gets dirty fast, taking it on beaches.
Always have a great experience and the price can't be beat. Friendly staff that are helpful and the facility itself is great. Love coming through anytime I can and will definitely continue with coming here for my car wash, vacuuming, and tire air needs.
It appears they recycle their water because I could smell old dirty water after the wash. Also car still had bug guts and other dirty spots on it. They don't prescrub like other full service car washes do and maybe that would help with the bugs. All they did was spray very little water on the windshield and back window. I will sat the vacuums work really well, they suck good .
