Very rude lady 5 minutes before closing didn’t let us through asked for Id and water bill when I usually just get asked for my Id that has my Texas city address. I showed my water bill online and said o it’s to late we closing the gate.
The biosphere is awesome. Well kept, great staff. They do not take everything, but they recycle enough. I recently found out, it takes electronics for recycling. I was able to dispose of my DirecTV equipment correctly.
The Texas City Biosphere is one of the best kept secrets of this quaint town. If you are an outdoors person who enjoys making your yard or garden healthy and beat the free mulch and compost is a great asset. The staff is so nice and helpful, the area is organized and there is no disgusting odors coming from the area which I appreciate. I’m so glad I moved here
Excellent, clean, well managed recycling facility that takes almost everything (even fabric). Seriously, this place is awesome. Staff are friendly and helpful. You can even get your own free mulch here, even if not an area resident. Take advantage of this terrific resource.
Terrible. I don't own a truck, but I do have a trailer. Why is it a truck is allowed with the same amount of material..but a trailer isn't? It's asinine. I UNDERSTAND about the issue with contractors abusing the system in the past..but you'd think they'd make exceptions. Nope. My tax payer $ wasted. Pathetic. No wonder Texas City has trashy properties everywhere smh.
They have new workers that are so nice now! What a difference. The place is beautiful, organized and everyone there is kind and helpful. They no longer allow trailers of junk. You bring your recycle and separate yourself at the different stations.
This place is great but the employees are terrible.i went there to ask if they could take some items and how much and they didn't know if they could or how much (no andwers). I went to the website and seen the items I needed to take could be taken so I went back there to ask how much of it could I bring and is there something in writing. The lady ask me what size trailer I said 5ft she automatically said oh no that's to much we can't take it and when she showed me the kiad sizes it showed I could bring u to a 16ft trailer stacked no more than 3ft high. The lady called the manager and he questioned me until he could find a way to tell me he couldn't take it. I'm only trying to dump wood, siding, paneling from a mobile home.
Why put so much energy into how not instead of how to. That's what the recycle center was created for. Waiting on Mr Michael Stump to give me a call back to see what he has to say.
Won’t answer the phone. Left a message, pressed pound to confirm, then 3 to send it. Had an error. Can not get a hold of them, their website is broken, and I don’t want to load stuff up just to be turned away like last time. How do you get ahold of these people?
