General Manager Brian was by far one of the best additions to the staff. 600 acres of breathtaking safari adventure countless rare or near extinct animals. The improvement plans that Brian shared sound amazing. We will definitely be back for a family event.

We planned a retreat at Moon River Ranch for 2 nights / 3 days and everyone loved the property. The safari was also a huge hit. Traci was great at answering questions and supporting logistics throughout the planning process and during our stay.

We had an amazing experience with Moon River Ranch for our company kick-off. The property was beautiful, well-organized, and provided the perfect setting for our team to come together. A special thank you to Traci, who helped us so much throughout the entire planning process. Over the course of several months, she was incredibly responsive, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to understand the needs of our company and ensure we had the best accommodations possible. She made everything smooth, from lodging arrangements to supporting us with the event center setup. Traci was wonderful to work with and made the entire experience even better. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner in hosting our team event. Highly recommend Moon River Ranch for any corporate retreat or group gathering!

We had such a great time. The animal safari was a lot of fun. I loved seeing the animals up close. We did the ATV rental and rode the trail. We were able to see an ostrich “dance”. It was quiet and peaceful. Just what we needed. Tracy and Jamie were super helpful. The room was very comfy. Even though it was cold, we bundled up and took walks at night. The camel followed along with us as we walked by his fence. We will have to go again.

We stayed at Moon River Ranch a few weeks ago. Even though it was a last minute plan and we only stayed for just one night, we enjoyed our stay very much! First of all, the location is ideal for us since it's not very far from DFW. It's also about 30 minutes from Waco, so it's far enough from the city but not too far. Even though we were there this time of year, the area is still beautiful and I'm sure it's even nicer in warmer times of the year. The staff there were very nice, courteous, and extremely helpful throughout our stay. We got there well before our check-in time, but we were welcome to be on the ranch and do the animal safari, feed some goats, have some lunch, and do an ATV ride before checking in. They were willing to check me in earlier, but the cabin we stayed in was occupied and they had to clean it after. But customer service was excellent. For the activities that we did, we were very happy. The animal safari was about an hour long and the kids loved seeing the animals and feeding a few of them. It's a beautiful property and very spacious. We had lunch after the safari, and I will be honest, I wasn't expecting the food to be that good, but it actually was! We were not disappointed and neither were the kids. After lunch we did an hour long ATV ride. They have an ATV trail that basically circles around the perimeter of the ranch. It was super fun and there is a beach near the river where we stopped at and the kids collected shells. Both the animal safari and the ATV ride were also reasonably priced. Also, they have a very nice pool but it was too cold to swim in. However, they heated up the hot tub for us (you have to give them a 45 minute heads up while it heats) and the kids loved getting in there too. The cabin we stayed in was amazing. We stayed in the one called Jasmine. It looks small from the outside, but it can actually accommodate at least 6 people (king bed, queen bed, and a couch futon). But the best thing about the cabin is that it was super cozy. We loved it. It has a TV, fridge, and kitchen (we actually didn't know they had a restaurant or small store so we brought quite a lot of food and snacks). But what the kids loved the most was the king bed, because it's basically on an upstairs loft and is super cozy. Be aware though that for adults, you cant stand up there lol. The floor of the loft to the ceiling is very low. But I guess that's what made it cozy. That evening, I grilled burgers and hotdogs outside on the charcoal grill. After that, we made smores at the fire pit (they provide firewood for the fire pit but bring your own charcoal if you decide to grill). The ONLY thing I would suggest is for them to increase the temperature of the water heater in the cabin. After my two kids took a shower, the water was not hot enough for my wife or I. It's not a huge deal, you will just have to wait for it to heat up again, but it would be nice to have it hotter. Overall, we had a great time. We will DEFINITELY be back. I only wish we knew about this place before. I highly recommend Moon River Ranch, especially for families with kids, but it's even a nice place for couples. You will not be disappointed. Thanks again to the staff there who gave us a great experience!

We went to Moon River Ranch for our 46th anniversary. We wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of a city trip and it was perfect. We stayed in the Wrangler covered wagon. It was cute, cozy, and just right for us. A 30 degree wind of about 25 mph had just arrived when we got all our things inside the wagon. Just in time, I'd say. We did have issues with the heater but after calling the office, they sent Jesus to see what was wrong. It was a remote issue on our part. Remotes are all different. Once the heater was up and going, we got warm and all was right with the world. Although, the wagon was well anchored, it still caused our teas to move inside our cups. That's how strong the wind was. We purchased the ATV self-guided tour and the safari tour. We enjoyed this tremendously. We will be back soon. Next time in the summer so we can take advantage of the Brazos River.

We had the best family vacation at Moon River Ranch. We stayed in the covered wagon and aside from a couple lighting issues (which maintenance quickly repaired) it was great. Such a unique experience for the whole family! While there we enjoyed many of the activities, including archery, driving the ATV, taking a safari ride, and a horseback ride. We definitely want to come back and bring grandma! We would like to add that Eli, Tracie, Jamie, and Aniya were so nice and made our stay even more enjoyable.

We had a very relaxing stay at Moon River Ranch . Loved the cute Airbnb. Loved the animal safari . The staff is friendly. The convenience store and restaurant was sufficient to meet our needs without stepping out of the property . Recommend it for a weekend stay !!

Thank you, Moon River Ranch, for hosting us for our annual church cabin trip this December! We truly loved every moment of our stay. From the beautiful scenery and peaceful atmosphere to the animals and the amazing food that was provided, everything was such a blessing to our group. A huge thank you to Traci, Jamie, Anuya, the housekeeping team, and maintenance for taking such great care of us and making us feel so welcomed throughout the weekend. Haydee was our housekeeper, she did such a great job! She was super nice and helpful always with a smile. The room we stayed in was a little cold and she brought me a space heater. Our tour guide, Juan, was very organized and did a good job with the tour and all the information we needed. We needed help with our cabin and he was there in no time and fixed the problem with in 30 minutes! Super friendly staff !

My daughter had her weeding here at Moon River Ranch. They Reserved the Barn and it was just amazing. Plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed staying in the Gate House, didn't have to worry about driving home late. What a beautiful place for any gathering. The staff was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the animals. We will definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Absolutely Amazing place! Stayed at the Gate House. We were 7 of us. LOVED IT! Did the ATV, kids did the horse back rides, we all did the Safari (Adam was great). Traci was absolutely amazing. We got fire wood when we wanted, so the camp fire was fun, exchanged ATVs after the rain to make it more fun. Cannot wait for the restaurant to open! Enjoyed our morning run, Hung out with Jack the Camel. Would go back!

This place is in the middle of nowhere. However, it is absolutely beautiful. We had a couple issues with the house we booked. People that were not part of our family were coming into the house we rented. That was super scary. They even came into the house asking if we would give them a tour. ABSOLUTELY NOT! The house we rented costed 6,000 dollars. Why are earth were these people helping themselves into a place we rented for that amount of money. They need to up the supervision of other guests entering rooms and house that they do not belong. They were also using our pool and then they started making smores with the supplies we bought. They had no business being there near our family and children. Now, besides all that, the rooms and decorations were stunning. We rented the extra large ranch. Each room had its own unique design. We also took advantage of the Safari ride. We had so much fun looking at the animals and feeding them. There was also so much more to do. We would definitely consider coming back, but next time nobody from outside our family better come into a place they did not purchase. It ruined part of the experience. They came into our house not once, not twice, but three times and that does not include them using our pool.

The wedding started off a little rocky at the rehearsal dinner and preparations. However, once Traci stepped in she was a God Send. She was able to accommodate us in all aspects and we were able to give the Bride the wedding she desired. The grounds are beautiful and the crew showed up early Saturday just like Traci said and was able to get everything set-up. Again I will be back for a visit and hope Traci is around to visit with and accommodate us at that time.

10/10 experience at moon river ranch. We stayed in the new vessels along the river and could not fault it at all. From check in to check out the hosts had everything we needed. Amazing options for activities and we especially recommend the safari with Jesus, he’s a star!

Moon River Ranch provided an awesome log cabin outdoors with nature experience for me and my family. Traci and her staff were so amazing and accommodating. If you want to experience the simple life of kayaking, fishing, camp fire, horseback riding and even safari excursions, Moon River Ranch in Satin Texas is the place to visit. They have cabins from small for couples to large groups and original to modern style cabins.

Moon River Ranch was an exceptional location for our large group event! The service was spectacular and Traci Lee Reynolds did an amazing job making sure every need was met. They went above and beyond to make it just right. The property was beautiful and they were very accommodating.

My family and I had a great time at Moon River Ranch! The property is beautiful and relaxing, perfect for a family getaway. Tracy was an amazing host—friendly, helpful, and made sure we were well taken care of. The ATV was definitely the highlight for us—super fun and a great way to explore the ranch. The safari tour with Jesus was also really enjoyable and added to the experience. We’d definitely come back and recommend Moon River Ranch to anyone looking for a fun and family-friendly adventure!

This would be 5 stars however on the last day our ATV rental experience was horrible. We rented all day ATVs, three days straight, which is expensive at $450 a day. Each ATV has their own mechanical issues, from shifter not working, to steering alignment completely off. This could also be a safety concern. The way we were treated at the front office was unprofessional and I was told I was not correct that other renters were not following the rules. The ATVs should be back to the front office no later than 8pm (according to website it states 7pm). This was not enforced. I saw on two occasional that the ATVs stayed at the renter's property overnight which means availability in the morning would be more limited and not ready when office opens. We were told to arrive 9am, however office opens at 8am. We were told we could get a certain ATV if they could find the keys (yes, they lost them), only to be told when we were sitting in it ready to go riding, to get out. We watched another family get it because, well they arrived earlier than us because we were told the wrong arrival time. But, again, it was expressed that ATV were not promised. Wrong! They brought back #1 john deere in the morning and left with the Polaris. To top if off, the ATV that we had with extreme misalignment broke down completely. My son was left in tiers. We flew all the way from Michigan and second time trip because he loved it so much. This ATV experience has left us disheartened, angry and extremely disappointed. Enforce the rules, keep up with the mechanical issues of the ATVs for safety, its a first come, first serve basis and align on when arrival time to pick should occur, and check the attitude and unprofessionalism of a particular staff member in your office. This incident occurred on Saturday Oct 18th. I feel bad for my son, we love the property and the rest of the staff was amazing! It truly is a beautiful place, but it only takes one bad apple to ruin it all.

The restaurant at Moon River Ranch is FABULOUS!!! The pizza from their pizza oven is some of the best pizza I have ever had. We had them cater our wedding and the fajitas we SOOOOO GOOD!! All their sides and queso—YUMMM! Our guests were all raving about how delicious it was! Our guests were able to order from the menu too and they loved that and said everything was just delicious. They bent over backwards accomodating all our needs!! We had some gluten free guests..NO PROBLEM. But I was especially impressed with Katie. She was kind and cared so much that we were happy. We even called (after they cleaned everything up and left) because we had some late guests show up and they brought us back togo containers of more food! Just amazed at the level of service they provided. Highly recommend them for your catered event or even just lunch or dinner!

WHAT. A. WEDDING!!!! Spectacular venue. We did a “full takeover” and it was a dream wedding like NONE OTHER!! Everyone had an amazing time. Several guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to! Such a beautiful setting. We loved the animals and safari ride for our guests.

Perfect place for a wedding weekend! Kind, helpful staff, beautiful facilities, and fun activities. We loved the safari and riding on the ATV trail. We stayed in a covered wagon which had two double beds, a separate room with shower/bathroom, and air conditioning. It was perfect for our needs, and such a novel place to stay. Thank you!

Absolutely wonderful. We hosted a weekend getaway and were inundated with praise for the Ranch. The staff was amazing, especially TraciLee, Aniya and Crystal! Every need was handled professionally, and the care and concern for our group was top-notch. The activities like the safari and horseback riding kept us engaged and the option to lounge around the pool was the perfect calm escape. Looking forward to booking our next adventure!

I did the animal safari and it was INCREDIBLE. Definitely worth the money. The guide got us super close to the animals and told us about them. Loved getting to see all the critters especially the gorgeous herd of bison! If I'm ever back in central Texas I will certainly be making more of an experience out of it by staying overnight and taking part in the other activities. All staff I interacted with were so kind as well.

We just had my daughter’s wedding at Moon River Ranch this past weekend. It was a perfect weekend! Crystal was great from the 1st tour. She was always available for questions as we were planning and helping guests book their accommodations for the weekend. She helped the day of the wedding with playing music, having chairs set up at the chapel, coordinating with the caterer, and anything else we needed. We then did the safari tour in the afternoon and everyone enjoyed that as well. The grounds are beautiful and we rented an atv to use for the weekend so our wedding guests could explore the grounds. The general store was open and it is so cute and Trish was very helpful and friendly. Any staff was always willing to help in any way that they could. The only thing is some of the ovens in the main lodge do not work so that created a challenge when we were cooking pizzas for about 50 people. Overall a wonderful experience and my daughter and her new husband had a wonderful wedding weekend celebrating with family and friends.

The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. It was obvious that they all worked hard to make things run smoothly. My room was clean and lovely. It was well-stocked for the duration of my stay. The bed was comfortable, as well. The grounds were well-maintained. I absolutely loved the Animal Safari and I highly recommend it. Adam, my guide was so knowledgeable, and it was apparent that he loved the animals. The animals are beautiful and the countryside is wonderful. Moon River Ranch is beautiful --- great scenery, amenities, and staff.

10 out of 10 the best little get away. We stayed for 2 nights at the boat house. We really enjoyed moon river ranch due to the variety of things available to do. We went horseback riding(my first time), the safari and rented an ATV for 2 hours. We had a blast it was my first mini vacation since having my son 6 weeks ago. This little trip did not disappoint. The staff here are very friendly and informative. The animals are happy and roaming free. I can’t wait to come back.
