Chris Auto Salvage & Recyclers JunkYard in Waxahachie (TX)

Like others have mentioned, a very well organized and clean yard, but still an incredibly aggravating experience. After numerous calls to verify the part was available, I drove 4 hours one way to purchase a bumper listed as "A" grade with matching pictures only to find it on the car with a large crack caused by a strut laying out of the back of the trunk on top of it. Being in the salvage business myself. I realize it's almost impossible to verify every little detail of a particular part. However, when I have out of town customers coming to spend money. I will, at the very least, verify the part they're coming for is still in the stated condition before they make the trip. Complete waste of my day👎.

Drove 5+ hours to pick up doors that were supposed to be pulled off and ready only to find out they were still on the vehicle and had damage. I called and texted 3 times to make sure everything was in good shape and ready to be picked up before making the long drive, but was lied to.

Cash only?? Its 2024! Super annoying and it’s definitely costing you lots of business. Your website says you take cards but I’ve called twice and both times they confirmed cash only. Your reason of not allowing credit cards due to chargebacks is shady. It points to you selling subpar parts and not standing behind your products. Your reviews speak volumes about the type of business you are….

They sold me an engine from a 2014 Camaro and assured me that it would fit my 2010 Camaro, but that wasn't the case. They didn't give me a warranty and they don't want to exchange it for one that works for my car.

Sold me a good condition transmission and had it ready for my arrival, also has been very responsive! Transmission working great so far! Would buy from again!

I would not recommend anyone scheduling an appointment to pick up any parts here. Drove 2 1/2 hours one way for scheduled appointment to pick up a specific part. When I arrived, they just sold the part five minutes before to someone else. After doing some research this company has changed names on facebook to hid bad reviews. *****Response to your comment.****** Your own statement says that you do not allow customers install parts in your lot. So to say they already had it installed is far fetched and a lie. I watched the vehicle pull through your gate. I also recorded our interaction and had to ask you several times to stop yelling and why are you yelling. Very unprofessional and out right childish. A simple we apologize for our mistake would have sufficed, but clearly that is out of your character.

Terrible customer service. Had to wait a long time. The pictures on the website absolutely did not match the parts. Barely came down on an interior part that had obviously been exposed to the elements for months. The seat was not pulled, so we had to wait for that too. Then when I went back to put it in my truck, the guy who pulled the seat asked for a tip. Dont waste your time.

Great customer service. Brandon Raylee was a phenomenal employee and great person to work with. Went above and beyond in helping me get parts, as well as holding them for a couple days till i could pick them up. On top of that, even went the extra mile to find me a piece that they didn't have in stock. I really appreciate that a lot. Shows great customer service and drive to take care of the customer.

Good employees, great location, even better small automotive parts! However, Do not buy engines from here expecting them to run as advertised! Just purchased a "confirmed running condition engine" just to install it same day and realize the headgasket was blown. No warranty, no exchange....just keep your longblock purchases elsewhere where theres at least a warranty! Not just a guys word of mouth.

This is a great family run business that continues to improve over the years! I have bought from Brandon in the past and can attest it was a good price and I recieved what I asked for. No issues at all. I have also recieved respectable prices on selling scrap cars to him. Good business!

Brandon is awesome and will work with you if you if you’re reasonable. Max and the other sales guys are awesome and very helpful these guys know there stuff and will make sure you get what you need! Every part I have ordered has been very good quality and if there is a dent scratch or imperfection they always take care of us when we needed it which is more then I can say for a lot of Junk Yards now days. Update: Since the owner responded- So what you are saying is that with thousands of used body parts, your people can lie to customers about the conditions of those parts? Since I spoke with two people who told me the condition of those parts before I drove three and half hours. Had just an awful experience at this business yesterday. I am writing this review just as a warning for anyone thinking of purchasing parts here. I needed a hood for my car and found them online with the hood that I needed. As I was three and a half hours away, I called them to ensure it was in stock. I then called and emailed them again to ensure that the part was as described 000 no damage. This meant no fading, cracks, or paint issues as described on the website. I even asked if a bit of white stuff on the front of the hood was a scratch or dust, and he assured me it was dust. When talking to the person on Wednesday, I let them know that I was three and a half hours away and wanted to ensure it was as described. He told me it was and that it would be ready. Yesterday I drove three and half hours there only to find out that the hood had paint cracks and scratches, and the clear coat was peeling all over it. The pictures were obviously taken from a while ago, and they had been left out. When I spoke to the person about this, he told me that they only guarantee that the metal isn't damaged. When I told him that's not what I was told yesterday, he went off tangent and said no one guarantees clear coat damage, to which I told him what about the paint chips and cracking. He had nothing to respond to that, and I left. I spent over $90 between gas and tolls plus 7 hours of driving yesterday for nothing. I am not even angry, just disappointed in the service. I would warn anyone possibly coming from far to have them email you updated pictures and not take their word for it.

Great service, quality parts at a reasonable price

We needed a front bumper for our 2014 Chevrolet Volt and they were the only ones that had one according to their website inventory. I tried calling but never got an answer but emailing resulted in a quick response from Brandon. He confirmed availability, price, and other questions I had. Drove the 3 hours there from Austin, you go up to a window and tell them what you’re there for. You then wait for a parts puller to be available, in my case was only about 20 minutes. They drive you out to the vehicle so you can inspect the part you need, and if you need anything else just tell the parts puller and he’ll grab it. The guy that helped me was really friendly and pulled a couple additional parts I needed. Then you go back up front to settle on a price for everything (the bumper was as quoted over email) pay, and your on your way. Keep in mind I believe it’s cash only. I think I was there maybe 30 minutes, however if it’s busy I could see you having to wait a while though. Lastly, the images that come up on the inventory results aren’t going to be current, those are probably from when the vehicle arrive, which is the norm at junk yards. Overall I had a great experience and got the part I needed.

Went today for some doors. Service was good , they were friendly and professional. I will most definitely be coming back to them ! I recommend 👍🏻

Drove all the way from Oklahoma City to pick up a hood from another salvage yard. They were super hateful and tried to give us a hood that was damaged but not shown on the pictures so ended up not buying from them. I called here last minute to see if they still had theirs available and they were willing to wait for us since we drove so far. The owner was so helpful and so welcoming. He was happy that he was able to help us. Could not thank them enough and will recommend them to others. We will use them in the future.
