Horrible customer service, manipulative, and dishonest. Don't put out any non-republic trash cans! They will just throw them away and call it bulk trash. It is a really dirty way to do business and attempt to force their customers into buying additional cans exclusively from them. They know they can get away with this because we have very little choice on who we have to deal with as our waste management company. We used 2 of our person 96 gal. Tooters to store an excess of brush clippings. It is easier to dump and it prevents more waste by adding plastic/metal wire to the landfill. However, for the first time in 10 years they were thrown away instead of emptied like the company cans. My husband chased them down and they told him they assumed it was bulk trash and crushed it. It was a new route driver and truck. I called republic to ask for replacements. I received no callback and had to call again to eventually get a response. There I was told that it was My fault for putting anything (even almost identical trashcans) in the trash area. It all would be treated as bulk waste and thrown away. I am well aware that it must come up in training what to do when there is a non-company trash can. Instead of being told to simply leave it, they have been told to destroy property. When I asked why they aren't correcting the new driver, once again it was implied that I somehow should have expected to get my nice trashcans crushed. When we leave out unbundled brush, it is left behind. If the recepticals are not in code then they need to be left behind as well. All route directors were very rude and I still have not heard from supervisor.

This company is horrible. Customer service is terrible and of no use. They missed my weekly trash pickup. I’ve called several times to report a missed pickup and keep being promised it will be picked up. It still has not been picked up.

This is BY FAR the most expensive place to rent a dumpster from. The city of Plano requires you to use them in order to get a building permit and no other dumpster company is permitted in Plano. They charged over $1400 for a 10cyd dumpster that we had for 30 days. They are not transparent in their costs either - you pay almost $600 to get the dumpster and then hundreds more to have it picked up.

Keep delivering me a dirty trash can. They look as if they've been rolling around in the dirt. Also, several times they've left trash in the bin. If the see a bag in there, they'll just pick that out and then leave the trash under it. Assuming that is unknowingly but more attention to detail is needed because I get stuck having to smell bad trash until the next week.

I arrived at 2:30 and was impressed with how professional and efficient the staff were. I was assigned a dock right away since one was available, and the loading process was quick and smooth. Just follow the instructions you’re given — it’s an easy in-and-out. Make sure to scale in upon arrival and scale out once you’re loaded. Overall, a solid and well-run operation.

When republic started in Rowlett, Texas I didn’t like the idea of what they were telling us and how they were changing our services. I asked questions about what we do with recycling as its well known only 10% of Texas actually recycles. now that their service is a couple months in place and my trash is constantly not being picked up when i have more bags than can to put it. when you go online to try and get a hold of somebody all you get is a Chatbot. Honestly your service in my area sucks. When you announced you were coming to town i asked questions that i never got replys too and the community you service deserves better. Funny the questions i asked are the same ones i seem to be having issues with now. Lets review: Please note You staff less people on routes You stopped the weekly bulk pickup. My trash isnt picked up like it has been prior to your services. It appears you charge more and i get less How is that a service? ** if there is a rowlett location i will gladly move my post to their site**

I just needed to adjust my pick-up schedule, and I've been on hold for over an hour on phone and have been waiting for the same amount of time on the text live chat. Consistently unacceptable customer service. I can't wait until my contract is up so I no longer have to deal with this company. If you have another option for trash pick-up, choose it.

Have been with Republic for 3 years. They have increased my rate (even though I have a contract) almost 100% since I started. Found a lower rate provider, and Republic tell me, I have to pay $3000 to get out of my contract!! Cannot wait until June when my contract is done. This, in my opinion, is a very poorly run company. If you have ANY way of avoiding them, do so at all cost!!

My Republic Service Contact person is Jennifer and i'm telling you she is what Customer Service is all about. She truly deserves Praise and Recognition for her kindness and prompt attention. Having a HVAC business, we deal with HVAC daily. I wish the Customer Service Jennifer offers was in every vendor location. She is truly a Blessing to Republic Service.

Republic took over in Rowlett just over a month ago. It has been shear HELL for customers. So many complaints registered. Every week, they miss me or my neighbors for alley pick up. They only collect bulk in the front once a month. I put out a couch, my neighbor put out tree limbs. Neither of us was picked up by the bulk claw truck. But the other neighbor with 20 plus feet of old furniture was picked up. I spent hours trying to get them to come pick up, they sent a Regular truck that came and left. I called back. They sent another Regular truck!! Those two guys had to load that nasty biohazard couch. Apparently the company doesn't care about their customers or employees. Not to mention we have to buy stickers at 2$ each for any bag outside the bin. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. I'm thinking maybe a kick back got them the Rowlett contract...yall prove that's wrong. Do what your paid to do!

The city of Rowlett have a new trash company and ever since they started in October trash is not been picked up. they always leave bags behind. You call them to pick up branches and they have to been measured because if is one inch over their limit they will also not pick that up. We are paying for a really bad and lazy service.

Absolute worst garbage service on planet t earth. Never pick up on schedule when they are supposed to, will damage your property if you buy your own bin and not pay for damages claiming they can do whatever they want. When you complain they missed a pickup, they’ll tell you just take it out the next day. I hope you worthless bums go broke and never touch another dollar in your lives. Your mothers should have swallowed.

It's very frustrating when Cities contract with big conglomerate waste companies like Republic, and commercial customers are beholden to bad service. These companies know you are stuck with them. Republic used to be a good company to work with. We used to use them on all our projects regardless if the City didn't contract with them. We have been a customer for 23 years, and didn't have these issues. Now it's not the case, and Plano especially has terrible service. My Superintendent will call in to get an empty, will to talk to 3-4 different people just to get the runaround. They tell him we don't have a container on-site, or they can't find it. When we are finally able to get through, it takes several days for them to arrive, because they are behind schedule This time they put our account on hold for a $200 invoice that I provided proof it was paid before the due date. They must have applied it to the wrong project, as we have several jobs we are stuck using Republic on. Yet they won't take the account off hold until their accounting department fixes their own error. If the City of Plano gives us a fine for garbage blowing around the site, are they going to pay it? It's more than ridiculous they put our account on hold for such a small amount to begin with, when we've had 23 years of on-time payments.

This is the Worst company to ever work with! I have been calling them for a week straight and all they do is give you the run around and tell you what you want to hear and SUPPOSEDLY put notes staying they will pick up trash and when you call again the next person says no notes were ever put in. THIS IS JUST A MESS! My company pays for the trash to be picked up everyday yet they only pick up once a week and that one time they pick, trash is left all over the floor. These employees are lazy and DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO THEIR JOB!

Absolutely terrible. Rented a dumpster. Did not pick up when they said. They take payment up front for max charge and then you get a refund for what's not used. They don't bill until the end of the month and then I called and asked about refund. They only process refund by check, won't refund back to cc you paid with. Also, they say 6-8 weeks to process refund. Still have not seen it. Finally, be prepared to be on hold for 20 minutes to get a hold of a representative who has no accountability or helpfulness

I tried for 3 months to get a roll off dumpster delivered, customer service was nice and tried to help but to no avail. It was paid for and scheduled only to be cancelled without notice, as well as permits being denied due to the company applying for multiple permits for the same delivery. It was finally delivered only to be picked up, unexpectedly, 4 days early due to the company's clerical error. Needless to say I wish I could use another company. The 1 star is for the decent customer service I received and the fact I have to give them one.

They were late delivering the 4 yd. container. They missed 2 pickups 2 weeks in a row. They missed 3 rescheduled pickups after multiple complaints. We were told they were escalating our complaint to the Route Supervisor twice but did not get a response from anyone. Then we were told that the drivers can only work so many hours so they are unable to add our pickup at the end of each day. How is this legal by any city code to leave trash containers overflowing?! This is a service we are paying for and is the only waste management company contracted for the CITY OF PLANO!

If you need to cancel service with them best of luck! They tell you nothing about the fact you have an agent you never heard of and it requires there approval to cancel. That apparently has no timeline and you have to keep paying. Apparently they finally picked up almost 3 weeks later and there is a 130 pick up charge. Also person I talked to could not gurantee me there were no more charges. 6 years doing business with them. Lastly finally gave up calling them all these years "in which I was never informed of an agent" about the guy dumping never making sure the lids were closed since I was paying for a lock. Was told eventually that it really wasnt his job to make sure it was closed. Not sure why I was paying for a lock.

I am not sure how this manages to happen, but this is the 3rd time in less than 2 months that my trash was not picked up. I sit my trash bin out on time and some how, it has gotten missed. The last time I sat my recycle bin out, I'm assuming that the lid came off when the bin was upside but they could have said something. I had to call and ask for a replacement lid. I will say that when I call to schedule an off cycle pick up, the customer service has always been professional and pleasant. I'd change carriers if I could.

This company is absolutely the worst companies I have ever dealt with. My company rented a 20 yard roll off container. We called on 9/19 for the container to be switched out. Its now 9/25 and we are still waiting. I have had to stop production of my job and have lost thousands on dollars because of their poor and terrible service. I have made over 60 calls to try to get service from this company. I have talked to so many people that my voice is almost gone. The employees at Republic could careless. All they want is money up front and could careless about customer service. And to make matters worse, Republic has a contract with Plano TX. So no matter what, I must use their service. Unbelievable that I can not use a great company like Empire Disposal for roll off container rentals. This company is by far the worst company on the planet. Stay away if you have a choice.

So I actually left a 1 star review, and then had a positive interaction with both customer service and an employee. This company doesn’t quite compare to the previous recycling business that our city of Lucas used, however they are decent, and so far I haven’t run into any significant issues

Republic provides my recycle service, and I have some large cardboard boxes I wanted to recycle. They won't take them if they don't fit in the container, so I called to see if I could drop them off at their Plano facility. I went through their call tree and eventually spoke with "Elizabeth". She told me to call the recycle facility, and gave me the same number I had called to reach her. She seemed totally confused by that, so I asked if I could just schedule a special pick up for the boxes. I was informed "they don't do that". She then offered to give me the number to the transfer station so I could just throw them away. Nice.

Coming from over 10 years of having to using them since Plano franchised them. Absolute garbage company who is awful at picking up garbage. Inconsistent pickups, accounting issues and customer service is totally useless. Every year there is always some screw up from their end that causes service interruptions resulting in garbage not getting picked up. Then they'll bill you for that period of time when they didn't even pick up your waste.

WON’T setup your auto pay even though you have email confirmation, WON’T send you statements or letters letting you know your account has a payment past due, WILL cancel your service without saying anything and pick up your bin, WILL make you pay in advance due to their screw ups to get a bin back, WON’T make it easy to get the bin back and make you wait 4 weeks to get service even though you’re paying for that month of service. NOT awesome. Cities responsible for hiring this company are doing a disservice and lack of due diligence hiring them on cost alone. You get what you pay for

They missed our Tuesday pick up, and have promised each day to pick it up tomorrow. This is at the Church of the Holy Nativity on 18th Street. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. Unless you speak to a supervisor, nothing will happen, and quite often, not even then. New: they did not pick it up, even though we were promised a pick up each day we called in. The trash bin as of Sept 5, 2017, is full to over flowing. I saw their trucks drive by 3 times today.

Current Customer: services my home outside of Van Alstyne, Texas for the past year. I have waited no less than 22 minutes for their customer service to answer my call. They recommend customers use their mobile app instead of calling. I submitted a message to Customer Service 6 days ago and it is still "pending reply" from them. Horrible. I went with them for the recycling service since most other companies in the area don't offer recycling. Republic recycling truck rarely comes to get it. Don't sign up with them. You'll be disappointed.

They are constantly missing trash (mostly recycle) pickup days. I'm rural Grayson county so fortunately we have options. I have to call them over and over and over to pick up recycles that their driver can't seem to pick up. The customer service people are nice enough but clearly it's just lip service over the phone. They keep saying they will be out the next day, ("we put an order to pick up your trash tomorrow") but it never gets done with the first call. Never. They don't follow up with you so I don't know if their driver is lying about the pickups or they just expect you'll call again. It's beyond annoying. If you have a choice, look elsewhere. This company is big enough with all the city contracts that they truly couldn't care less about the smaller, individual contracts.

I have had a contract with Republic Services for about 6-8 months. Over that time I have had a billing issue every month that requires my time to call and plead with them to make a correction. Last month Republic Services decided to terminate our contract. When I got the bill for February, it had three errors. They now refuse to correct those errors. There is a $75 dollar relocation fee along with two $100 dry run fees that are erroneous. Use someone else!!
