Always the BEST! could not be happier with the service from the auto shop. we started with Jerry way back when in the 80's when he had his little garage by chilis on the service road of cenbtral & park. Growing into the huge garage he has now is no surprise. he has the best staff, is honest, does quality work & treats his customers well.
The guys at The Auto Shop are true automotive professionals. They took excellent care of my vehicle, diagnosed my issue quickly and fixed it timely. Communication was excellent. They even gave me a ride to my job and also came to pick me up when my ride was ready. The cleanliness of the shop is immaculate having ample coffee, TV, and comfortable seating and very spacious also. I will definitely use their services again.
First off I want to start by saying thank you Tom for making my auto repairs experience great. So without making this a long thank you I will just point out that offering a loaner while my repairs were being done was a nice touch, drop off and pick up after hours was also a great accommodation, great employees and a nice warranty was a major plus. I’m always leery of auto shops And this was my first time in there. I can tell you it won’t be my last! The service was so fast, I got a free loaner, you get a $25 referral discount, Tom my service guy was awesome. He was friendly, he was knowledgeable, and going into the store. I felt like I was going into somebody’s home. All of them were super nice. ! If you need your car repaired, go here!!!!
My first time having my vehicle brought into this shop. Having over 35 years experience in a dealership service department. I was more than satisfied the way this shop handled my concern. Unfortunately they were unable to repair my concern because the nature of the problem ( rodent under the hood) they spent over a week trying to identify the concern. Cat was very up front and said they would continue to look for the problem. I decided because the nature of the concern it was probably be best to take to dealer that has better resources to identify the problem. Cat was very apologetic and didn’t even charge me anything! I’m sure he internally took care of his tech for time he had in it. ( I hope so) so in my future auto repairs I have found a place with good and honest people .
The Auto Shop in Plano send me a message to review my service need. I needed a normal oil change and filter. I used their app made my appointment fitted to my time and day needs. Got confirmed, it took 3 minutes. Took the car, they know it and me, say to staff and they did an exam and my service. I had a coffee till the explained that I had an issue they gave me an estimate and away I went. I really enjoy the auto shop. Been using them for three years on both cars. They have good sales and mail me a monthly notice on paper so I can schedule any time that month. Good jobs very nice.
I got bids from several shops including the auto shop and they came in at the best rate. Cat and Tom were both very responsive and accessible. I requested OEM parts after my initial estimate and they were able to the job for the same labor amount just increased the price for parts. They also had loaners available. Fast service, my car was in the shop for a day and I was on my way. They saved the old parts for me on request. Overall would recommend these guys. Also really liked all the credentials and awards they had won which you can see upon visiting their location. I got a purge valve and evaporative canister replaced and they came in about 400 lower than anywhere else I got an estimate from. Thanks Auto Shop!
I have a few good experiences here but the last was criminal. Check engine light came on gor evap leak. They che ked it and sais it needed a part and it would be $800. I pick the car up and they say come back after driving 50 miles for the inspection. When i brought it back the check engine light had come back on. Same Code, evap leak. This time it needed the gas vap canister replaced, $700, nope. I took the car back, checked youtube and bought a smoke machine. Plugged it up and it was leaking the exact place youtube recommended. I put some epoxy on the spot and problem
Is solved. $40 smoke machine and $5 epoxy. Who knows what they did, if anything on the first repair
I had my car making some metal dragging noises for 2 days before I called and could have swung by same day. I waited until the next day and of course it stopped making the noises. Cat was still willing to take a drive to se Eid we could hear and look under the car to see if something was loose. He even zip tied the bumped which wasn’t fixed properly previously all free of charge and really showed they care about their customers safety and want the best for people and not a rip off.
I’ve only had 5 star experiences at The Auto Shop! The team is personable, professional, and most importantly for me… honest. They are upfront and transparent when it comes to recommendations and pricing. I highly recommend them.
My Toyota has a leaking windshield fluid system. They checked and said there is crack in tank and need to be replaced cost $650 I went to other shop Toyota authorized to check again they replace broken fluid hose for $150 conclusions Auto Shop is a pure scam!!!
We have been taking our vehicles to The Auto Shop over a year now. We are so pleased to have found them. They are very thorough, friendly, and explains what needs to be done in layman terms. They have cars that can be borrowed while they work on your car or they will run you to work or home. They will call and/or text to let you know what they have found, the cost and set a time to repair your vehicle or, to let you know your vehicle is ready. The best part...they actually fix the problem if you have one. General maintenance is king and they are the only ones that will touch our cars! Had a great experience with the Auto Shop in Plano, Texas. I have an older Chevrolet truck that our Chevy dealership refused to work and the Auto Shop said no problem. I’m happy with the work and I didn’t have to wait very long at all.
I can’t recommend The Auto Shop enough! They saved me nearly $3,000 compared to what the dealership was trying to charge me—and honestly, what the dealership was trying to do felt like a total scam. The guys here are honest, hardworking, and genuinely care about their customers. It’s so refreshing to find an auto shop you can actually trust. The facility itself is also clean, well-kept, and professional. If you’re looking for a place that won’t take advantage of you and will treat you right, this is it.
Words can’t describe how pleased I am with the service here. I took my fiancé’s car to the Lexus dealership, getting a code for a problem with the brakes. They were going to charge us $4000 for a new actuator fuse box and pump. I had AAA tow my car here and it turns out it was a problem with the battery terminal. $300 to get it fixed. It was done in three hours. I’m definitely bringing our cars here from now on when something goes wrong
After trying to get my ac fixed and putting money into it, and needing to put more money into it afterwards I finally decided to take my vehicle else where and I listened to the reviews on here plus they aren’t partners with AAA. Once I got there, I felt at home. Everyone was very helpful, friendly, and their facility is clean which is rare for an auto repair place. I’m in a wheelchair and they were so helpful and very accommodating which is hard to get now-n-days. I went from a 3 hr fix to a weekend fix but all I wanted was my vehicle to be fixed and they were upfront, honest, and honest even had a free loaner car for me to use. Plus I would rather not have my car for a few days than to keep on having to come back. Everyone was amazing even the guy whom helped me in the beginning which I forgot hips name and Kevin with all the constant communication. There was some hiccups but they far superseded everything in my book. They will forever have my business even if I move and have to drive hours away at anytime.
I am incredibly disappointed with my experience here. I specifically looked up Tesla alignment services and found their website, which has a dedicated page advertising "Tesla Alignment & Tire Services."
To be absolutely sure, I called ahead to confirm. The person on the phone assured me that yes, they perform Tesla alignments and I could be serviced today as long as I arrived by 4 PM.
I drove 35 minutes from the Little Elm area and arrived at 2:50 PM. After all that, I was told in person that they do not do Tesla alignments.
This was a complete waste of my time, toll fees, and effort, all because of the incorrect information on their website and communication breakdown on the phone. If a service is advertised and confirmed, a customer should be able to trust that information. I would advise other Tesla owners to look elsewhere.
Based on other reviews I’m sure the shop is pretty good in general but this was a pain.
I have been going to this place for a little over a year now and have had no issues and a great experience up until last week. When I dropped my car off my brakes were working perfectly fine and I did not have any weird noises coming from the car at all. I haven’t had any braking issues or noises coming from my car in the year I have had it. I dropped my car off for an oil change and tired rotation and when I picked up my car later that day I didn’t even get out of the parking lot before my brakes started failing at random times and hearing a clunking noise when I was moving with the wheels turned. I dropped it back off without even leaving the parking lot to get these things looked at as my car was not doing this before I dropped it off. I was told my brake caliper pins were pushed back (which is wear and tear maintenance apparently) and my wheels had to be rebolted on which makes it seem like something went wrong when they had my car as I have not had any issues like that in the past and even the morning I drove it up there. Anyways, I had to pay extra for them to fix all that when I dropped it off for just an oil change and tore rotation. I’m not saying they did any of this on purpose or sabotaged me, but just strange how my car wasn’t doing anything like that the morning I drove it up there but the second I put my car in reverse and back out, these “wear and tear issues” start occurring and I had to pay more to fix it. I have been going here and have been enjoying it for a while but I don’t know if I will be going back in the future.
Went for a pre-purchase inspection and am so glad I did! The process took about an hour which was much quicker than I’d expected. The car I brought in looked good on paper and drove decently, but Paul and the older gentleman identified a ton of rusting, erosion, and other major safety concerns. They were very professional, explained everything to me in layman’s terms, and advised that retaining the car would just be a major headache trying to repair over the years. I took their advice to pass on the vehicle and will definitely bring anything else I’m considering in to them for a once over.
Took car in for a bouncy ride and some strange noises. They throughly looked over the car took pictures of everything they looked at. Gave detailed information of what was good , needs looking at and what needs to be fixed. Gave estimate via text which Gave us the ability to choose what we wanted to get fixed. Service was very fast , people are knowledgeable and explained everything in great detail. I also like the guarantee of their work.
My car was behaving funny one day and i feared it would stop on the road and I’d end up in a towing situation so i took it to the nearest shop with good reviews which would be this auto shop. The mechanics were very kind and friendly; the time was about an hour and a half before they gave me an update on what the issue was (i believe i was their second guest this morning). It cost $225 to take a first look at what the issue was. Since it wasn’t an immediate emergency, I decided to take it to my regular mechanic to do the suggested repairs. When I showed my regular shop the prices this shop charged (and advised for fixing), they nearly fainted lol. Not sure if it was because I’m a woman or if that’s just their regular cost of services but based on my own mechanics advice, I would have saved a fortune just getting my car towed to them.
My car is how I earn a living so I absolutely need to trust in a auto shop to take good care of my vehicle. The Auto shop has won my confidence and has provided me with some real savings advice in other services my vehicle is needing.
This is the only place I take my car for repairs and routine maintenance. They are always courteous. Repairs are completed on time, accurate and reasonable priced. Will recommend these guys to all my friends and acquaintances. They're the best

Really happy with The Auto shop! Everyone there was super nice and easy to talk to. They explained everything clearly, didn’t try to upsell me, and the prices were totally fair. They fixed my car really fast and it’s running great now, they really took care of it. They even left a little stuffed toy on my steering wheel, which was such a sweet and thoughtful touch. I’ll definitely be coming back if I need anything in the future!
I took my Truck in for a overheating issue...Kevin helped me through the whole process. He kept me up to date during the repairs. The charges were more than reasonable. I will be using the for all my Truck repairs from now on. I recommend "The Auto Shop" for everyone who wants the repairs done, and at a very fair price.
My transmission had to be replaced and they were awesome. When I called they knew exactly the issues on my particular truck because they had fixed several like mine. Not only did they do a great job and in finish in the time they said, they saved me thousands of dollars from other quotes I received. Will use them again when I have any problems with any of my vehicles.
Quality and affordable auto repair shop that offers a variety of services. I've been going here for over a year now and have had several repairs performed on mine, my husband's, and my son's vehicles, along with scheduled oil changes and state inspections. I have always received great customer service and have never had an issue with any of the services. The inside is super clean, and the staff is super friendly. Suffice to say, they earned our repeat business!
Came here for the state inspection. Awesome customer experience! Paul and Phil were super friendly, helpful and responsive. They also have the cleanest waiting room and even a play area for the kids. Will keep coming back as long as I am in Richardson area!
