#Throwback Thursday. I posted a photo from last year’s Chuck Your Junk event — it was funny seeing everyone working hard… well, most of them were. A few looked pretty relaxed!

The facility is ok, small but ok, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. This place gets 2 stars for having operating hours that appear to cater strictly to stay at home parents and the unemployed. 8AM to 4PM most days with 1 day open until 6PM is just stressful. I work an hour away, I couldn't ever make it here on a Wednesday even if its open until 6PM.

Love being able to take so much that would otherwise go to the landfill. The staff is great, especially Richard and Pedro. They are so helpful and friendly, and the city is lucky to have such great employees. Thanks for what you guys do!

Extremely rude staff when I visited on Saturday. Arrived at 12:59 and was denied entry even when we only have one item to dispose of. The city should use taxpayer money in people who are genuinely committed to serving the community.

We are big fans of the Frisco environmental center. My son and I visit at least once a week. There are numerous materials accepted for recycling to help keep our community green and clean. Mr. Jay and Mr. Dillon are one of a kind. They’re friendly faces and always up for a quick chat. Thank you for everything!

Always is a good experience the staff is super friendly gives you the right recommendation on how to recycle

The customer service or people working around are so rude, plus the box where you put all the plastic covers is always full and such difficult to put one at a time, it literally burned by hand, I dont think I want to go back to this place, so much for trying to help with the environment, I'd rather put everything in garbage and call it a day.

Visited on a Saturday at 10:30 AM and had a smooth, quick experience with no wait. Presented TX Drivers License (with Frisco address), which was verified via tablet. Dropped off metal and chemical recyclables—staff offloaded items using a library cart. In and out in under 5 minutes. Directions were initially unclear at the entrance, but a fellow resident helped. Staff interaction was courteous and efficient at the chemical disposal gate. Items Recycled: - Metal: Windmill, wardrobe rods, metal trash can - Chemical: Table lamp (metal, glass, plastic cord)

Thank you so much, Jay and Jackie, for helping with paper shredding. It is a nice place to drop off recycling items.

New hours for hazardous waste recycling. Now open on more days than earlier.

Easy way to recycle. Can be difficult to access due to Rail District / Downtown road construction.

The chemical waste is not great. It's limited by what you can fit on a library cart and sometimes employees are rude. Also not a fan of the different hours of operation.

Love this place for . Organized. Esthetically pleasing. Friendly staff. Other Collin County cities should take a lesson.

Staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. 10/10 Have proof of residency for electronics recycling. Used oil, household chemicals, clothes, plastic bags(different from standard shopping bags), irrelevant jokes in reviews, styrofoam, household batteries. All jokes aside, I appreciate this place. Thank you.

On Google Maps it says center is open and I double checked the working hours on their website too. We arrived on 03/29 during those hours and all is closed. Do they work? No any note or message.

On Good Friday they were closed and they didn't mention this neither here, neither on the phone machine. I drove and kissed the lock. At least they could leave a temporary container to throw rubbish.

I would rate this as 0 stars if I could. Referred by our utility department city because we had to obtained a voucher and bring our disposal items to this location. First time here, so parking space was full. Drove around to see and encountered two horrible staff members with an awful attitude. Very rude and not helpful. They closed 8/28-8/29 for something and it's not on their website. The sign that the rude and unprofessional staff said "If the sign said it's closed and there's cones, it's mean it's closed." First off, the small sign is all the way in the back, you have a small section with 3-4 cones blocking I guess the entrance while the front has nothing but full with vehicles and you expect everyone to know you're closed? I hope the city review their staff and do more training. This is not how you treat people. It's absolutely disgusting and horrendous. Maybe treat people right and you'll have better days. Thanks for ruining my day with yall's ugly attitude.

Extremely awful and rude encounter with the person on service on Saturday. While throwing card boards he came to me and very rudely asked me if I can’t read, when I asked what happened, he said read it says flatten the cardboard. I picked back the carton and threw it back in after flattening it but at the same time a white lady came and he not only politely greeted her but also took her carton and flattened it for her. Then while walking back trying to find a box for plastic trash he again confronted me and asked me to leave if I am done. Very poor service and behavior. This government city facility needs to train It’s people to be courteous to city people who are paying for their jobs regardless of race, gender and age.

Aww bless their hearts. Those petulant little kids are all grown up now and still don't think the rules apply to them and deflect frustration with their own shortcomings in life onto others. This place is convenient, courteous, and we'll organized. What an asset to the citizens of FRISCO who pay for it's existence.

Attendant did a great job following the Rules. I got there at 1:02 PM, exactly, Saturday 1/14/23. Needed to drop off one small box of leftover paint, in the trunk of my car. "NOPE, cannot let you in after 1:00", he said. I begged for 15 seconds to unload it. "Nope,You'll have to come back on Wednesday" [in 4 days after having it bang around in my car trunk all week]....This great employee should be commended for following the Rules. For customer service.?...well, YOU decide.

Used to be a great place for recycling. Now it’s closed most weekends and when it’s open the staff is rude and nitpicking everything. The receptacles change locations and the guy that’s outside “giving direction” doesn’t actually give direction, he just yells at anyone that has anything packed wrong or walks in the wrong direction. Three weekends in a row, we’ve tried to drop off our cardboard boxes. First, it was a parade. Then it was a holiday. Now another holiday. It seems like this place is closed more than it’s open these days. If the purpose of this place is to improve the environment, they are going about it the wrong way.

I come here every weekend to throw my recycle trash out bc my apartment doesn't recycle. For some reason, on 8/20/22, there were COP cars BLOCKING ALL THE ENTRANCES TO GET THERE. And there was only ONE entrance that was open that was impossible to find. Drove around traffic for 20 minutes to try to find a way in. Guess I'm not recycling this week. I'm really just trying to recycle. What the heck?

Convenient and organized. Just as long as you get one of the mailers to direct you to what you're dropping off. Thankfully this is close to city center and not all the way out in the landfill (which you might have to go sometimes). Staff are helpful.

Chemical/electronic disposal team was amazing we were in and out in a couple minutes. Just check their website for hours and bring ID and water bill. They also have self drop off for batteries, cooking/car oil, cardboard, Styrofoam shoes/clothes for donation.

It's convenient to be able to drop off large recyclable items that won't fit into the weekly bin, but this place is not set up well. Explanations of what goes where is poor at best. Larger signs and labels are needed rather than pretty decorated receptacles.

Since my apartment complex took our our recycling dumpster, I have been looking for a drop off location. Bins were very full, so I had to put some elbow grease into shoving things into their dumpsters. There may be a long line when you arrive. It's only for hazardous and electronics. Glad I wasn't a sheeple and got out of my car to ask in the office, rather than waiting for 10-15mins to figure it out.

Orderly procession and workers had it together in disposing of trash. Process took about 30+minutes for me to drop shredding. Hit first ave and North county rd at 8am backup about 100+ vehicles. Counter told me I was #181 and projected were 1000 vehicles today. Great job Frisco and a very warm day for the workers.

Easy process for dropping off bulk cardboard, styrofoam, and other recyclables. But the hours are terribly inconvenient for your average citizen. Primarily only open during normal weekday business hours when people would be working and only open for a few hours on Saturday. This wouldn't be such a problem if Frisco accepted bulk recycling from the curb in an easy fashion like many other cities do.

I remember when we used to just walk up to the bin. But now, they make it hard to recycle. You get there and all roads are blocked. You have to take a detour and there are no signs for it. I had to ask an officer who nicely gave me the detour direction. Hopefully, they improved that process by now. Then you finally get there and they ask for a water bill. That was a first since they never asked before. Cant recycle without it. Be prepared when you or you will waste some serious time.
