A woman took my husbands metal and told him that he couldn’t have his metal because his “ID wasn’t valid”. She was profiling my husband because he’s Hispanic and wouldn’t even let him keep the metal he brought up there. Her attitude was rude and disgusting towards my husband.
Love this place. They handle all of my scrap aluminum. They provide me with a nice metal dumpster at my yard and when it’s full they promptly come exchange them. Definitely recommend.

I did get five stars probably a year ago. But lately the service seems to be lacking they just stand there some times and watch you unload as if they are annoyed you are even there, who knows maybe they are told not to help. I unload my vehicle and they look at you like a deer in headlights. And then when I took maybe one minute to try to takeoff a piece from my Brass fitting and they told me I could not do it there. All the while they were just standing there watching me for a few minutes without helping. Told me to go take it apart across the street or something and pointed at the gas station parking lot….on top of this there was no line or any other costumers. So I left and disassembled my peace in the gas station parking lot while they stood around and did nothing. I could understand if there was three people in a line and I was going to start disassembling things that would take minutes. But for something that would take 30 seconds to tell me to leave and do it somewhere else while they stand around and do nothing is insanity to me. You lost a customer, by the way Bryan Iron and Metal helped me disassemble my parts took them a couple seconds. Real sad because we bring lots of scraps year around.
Best place in town to recycle metal, cans, scrap, etc. I can bring my vehicles & trailers here and not have to worry about picking up nails in the tires. It's always so clean and the staff is friendly & helpful. Been everywhere else in the area and won't go anywhere but here
Best prices in town! They are very friendly and helpful. They always give you the best prices. You guys, they have the best prices anywhere around. If you are turning in a good amount of stuff, I would even say its worth coming all the way from Houston to here, because they do give you great prices! Thanks Brickyard. Y'all have always made me feel so good about turning my scrap in. I always used to feel jipped because I'm a female and I felt other places would rip me off because they knew I wasn't too sure about what the going rates were, but y'all have changed my whole scrapping game, and made me very comfortable doing so with you guys!
I've been taking our scrap metal to the brickyard the past few times. It's been a good experience so far! Mary at the weigh station is super nice and Jean has helped me out with tips for sorting better. Good people.
This was our first experience at EMR-Brian Brickyard and it was a very pleasant and friendly experience. The scrapyard is as tidy as a scrapyard can be, the driving path was clear of obstructions and the employees are uber friendly. Did not have a gritty/gnarly feel as I have encountered at the other iron recycling location here in Bryan. Great experience.
The husband and wife that run the office and yard are excellent. Gene was very friendly and helpful. The white guy with the beard that helps you with the small scales seems put out and frustrated. He does not represent the company well. Overall though this is the best place to go by far.
I just want to compliment all the staff here. It was our first time to do a sizeable load to recycle and they were so helpful and kind!! The nice young woman at the scale (who we saw at least 5 times because we had a mixed up mess) even gave us cold waters the last time through! We would definitely go here again.
