2 stars is what I give the lady at the front desk has one of the poorest attitudes I’ve experienced in a long time, I always say if you don’t like your job find something else. No smile, no hi how are yall today, no thank you, I think she may have said have a good day but that came with a look on her face that says other wise. Always strive to have good customer service even if you are just a recycling operation! The guys out in the yard they are good for 4 stars counter lady ruins it.
Just this year alone I've had to get 3 brand new tires due to driving by and getting flats and all times they're unrepairable. I am positive I'm not the only one. Their entrance on city road is always dirty and debris all over with screws. Really gotta be careful driving through there.

I had a great experience at EMR Brickyard Metal Recycling! The staff was super friendly, fast, and professional. They made the process of dropping off and recycling my metal really easy and efficient. I appreciated how organized everything was, and they offered a fair price too. It’s clear they care about both the customer and the environment. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a reliable recycling center in the area!
A woman took my husbands metal and told him that he couldn’t have his metal because his “ID wasn’t valid”. She was profiling my husband because he’s Hispanic and wouldn’t even let him keep the metal he brought up there. Her attitude was rude and disgusting towards my husband.
Love this place. They handle all of my scrap aluminum. They provide me with a nice metal dumpster at my yard and when it’s full they promptly come exchange them. Definitely recommend.
EMR hands down is the place to go! Highly recommended. Coming in for the first time I had no idea where or what to do. The employees walked me through everything and made it so easy! It’s most definitely amazing to turn what I thought was junk into money! Thanks EMR y’all are the best!

(((Update))) I did get five stars probably a year ago. But lately the service seems to be lacking they just stand there some times and watch you unload as if they are annoyed you are even there, who knows maybe they are told not to help. I unload my vehicle and they look at you like a deer in headlights. And then when I took maybe one minute to try to takeoff a piece from my Brass fitting and they told me I could not do it there. All the while they were just standing there watching me for a few minutes without helping. Told me to go take it apart across the street or something and pointed at the gas station parking lot….on top of this there was no line or any other costumers. So I left and disassembled my peace in the gas station parking lot while they stood around and did nothing. I could understand if there was three people in a line and I was going to start disassembling things that would take minutes. But for something that would take 30 seconds to tell me to leave and do it somewhere else while they stand around and do nothing is insanity to me. You lost a customer, by the way Bryan Iron and Metal helped me disassemble my parts took them a couple seconds. Real sad because we bring lots of scraps year around.
The people who work here are really nice even when you cross the scales twice and you didn't have to. Lol! It was really efficiently run for what seemed like a small area. It may have been bigger than it looked at first glance.
Best place in town to recycle metal, cans, scrap, etc. I can bring my vehicles & trailers here and not have to worry about picking up nails in the tires. It's always so clean and the staff is friendly & helpful. Been everywhere else in the area and won't go anywhere but here
We brought a bunch of copper here and didn't think we were going to get much. Jean helped us sort it out and made us another more than we thought. Would for sure deal with him again. Great guy.
Best prices in town! They are very friendly and helpful. They always give you the best prices. You guys, they have the best prices anywhere around. If you are turning in a good amount of stuff, I would even say its worth coming all the way from Houston to here, because they do give you great prices! Thanks Brickyard. Y'all have always made me feel so good about turning my scrap in. I always used to feel jipped because I'm a female and I felt other places would rip me off because they knew I wasn't too sure about what the going rates were, but y'all have changed my whole scrapping game, and made me very comfortable doing so with you guys!
I am very unhappy with the prices I was given on my scrap copper wire.I called after I left to ask them to explain how there grading system works, and was given a very vague answer.They could not tell me what size wires were what grade.i was given a grade that didn't make sense to what I brought in.I had control wires from a commercial job and was given household/ cord prices.Something is wrong with that.When I called the yard manager told the girl on the phone to tell me he paid to much. What a hustle,they get a good bonus and now my guys get very little.This was for the kids at Christmas I pass the money out to my guys who don't make much. I will be going elsewhere.....
I've been taking our scrap metal to the brickyard the past few times. It's been a good experience so far! Mary at the weigh station is super nice and Jean has helped me out with tips for sorting better. Good people.
This was our first experience at EMR-Brian Brickyard and it was a very pleasant and friendly experience. The scrapyard is as tidy as a scrapyard can be, the driving path was clear of obstructions and the employees are uber friendly. Did not have a gritty/gnarly feel as I have encountered at the other iron recycling location here in Bryan. Great experience.
The husband and wife that run the office and yard are excellent. Gene was very friendly and helpful. The white guy with the beard that helps you with the small scales seems put out and frustrated. He does not represent the company well. Overall though this is the best place to go by far.
I most definitely enjoy the customer service at Brickyard versus the other metal recycling center. Gene is always such a delight, Ms. Mary always smiling, and the office staff is always accurate & fast. Thank y'all for your hard work & accommidation.
I just want to compliment all the staff here. It was our first time to do a sizeable load to recycle and they were so helpful and kind!! The nice young woman at the scale (who we saw at least 5 times because we had a mixed up mess) even gave us cold waters the last time through! We would definitely go here again.
