The dispatchers at this towing company are extremely rude and sarcastic they seem to think it’s cute to hang up on people instead of providing any real help. The company refuses to take accountability for its drivers, who drive recklessly and even cause damage, like breaking windows. It’s no surprise they behave this way when the company itself won’t take any responsibility. Terrible customer service and zero professionalism.

I attempted to speak with someone from this company regarding an incident, but the experience was extremely disappointing. The staff responded sarcastically, repeatedly hung up the phone, and showed no interest in helping resolve the issue. I approached this matter professionally, hoping to handle it respectfully from company to company, but I was met with complete disrespect and disregard. The lack of accountability and customer care is unacceptable. It’s honestly hard to understand how a business operating with this level of unprofessionalism continues to stay in operation.

To Capital Towing LLC Management, I have been trying to reach your manager since September 30 regarding a serious incident involving one of your drivers. Despite multiple reports, I have been ignored and dismissed each time. On that date, one of your drivers — operating a Honda — was driving 80–90 mph in a 50 mph zone on the back roads. While driving recklessly, he passed me on the shoulder over a solid white line, kicking up rocks that shattered my windshield. I immediately called to file an incident report as this occurred and also notified the Sheriff’s Department. Your manager refused to provide the driver’s information, stating that it “didn’t matter,” and dismissed my repeated incident reports — I have now filed four. I was told that because “the rocks were on the ground,” the damage was somehow my problem, which is unacceptable. Every one of your company vehicles displays a sticker asking, “How’s my driving?” — yet when the public reports dangerous and reckless behavior, it appears you take no accountability. Your driver’s excessive speed and illegal passing caused direct property damage, and your staff’s unprofessional responses (including sarcasm, hang-ups, and refusal to assist) have made the situation worse. If this matter is not resolved promptly, my next step will be to pursue legal action for property damage and negligence. Sincerely - HER .

Terrible service. They had us wait 2 hours and then when they finally show ip and have the vehicle on the truck, drop the truck and say they recieved amother call. Save your peace of mind. Call some one else.

I requested service at my residence for a car tow to a local mechanic, the service was exceptional and the driver very professional and friendly. The thing that stood out from the get go was I was always kept informed from the time of the initial call for service to the arrival time of the driver. Most of the time when a service such as this is needed it isnt good obviously but Capital towing made my unfortunate situation better just by providing the exceptional service they did, Thank you!!

They tell you one price over the phone then another when they get there. I was quoted $120 over the phone.They came and took pictures and then said due to the manner that we have to take your vehicle out it will be $350.Out of where?? It was stuck on the side of the road.Nothing special was done. Taken 2 miles down the road and we're out $350.I think they check to see what kind of vehicle you have and charge you according to what they think you can pay.. What a horrible experience. I see your response and you made it look like it was wrapped on a pole and that you did something extra. You have pictures-there was nothing special done.Oh, and let's not forget- we asked the driver to pull the truck from the back to avoid more damage to the back wheel. Which he didn't do. Yes- my husband in the end said to tow it because we had no other choice. We had called other companie but it seems you handle for other companies too. So we get the same people.

BEWARE! Called ahead of time, flew in to pickup my impounded vehicle and told it was released to someone else. I have the title with my name on it and they cannot provide details on who it was released to. I spent $2,500+ in travel cost because i was not allowed to pay over the phone. Terrible business practices. Counter people make it very difficult to get anything done At this point they are holding my vehicle hostage or its considered stolen since no docs were provided

Our experience with the staff was extremely disappointing and distressing. From the beginning, the communication was inconsistent—they initially told us we couldn’t retrieve personal belongings from the vehicle, only to call back later and say we could. The staff was unprofessional and lacked empathy, especially considering we had just been in a car accident. I was not allowed to accompany my injured mother to help gather our items, which added unnecessary stress to an already traumatic situation. To make matters worse, they required her to redo paperwork simply because her handwriting didn’t meet their personal standards, even though it was clearly printed and legible. When we asked for clarification on some of the items listed, we were met with a cold, dismissive response: “Do you want your items or not?” This experience left us feeling even more overwhelmed and helpless. It’s incredibly disheartening to be treated this way during such a vulnerable time.

I'm from FL, in Harlingen due to family emergency.. rental car stuck in mud, pouring down rain & 3 good Samaritans tried to help me, had 4 wheel drive pick up truck & after 2 hrs , I was still stuck in the mud. Called Capital Towing & dispatch said approx 30 mins... guy showed up (I'm sorry I can't remember his name) on time ...in a bad a___ jeep (BTW I want that jeep) and literally, hooked up to rental car ...& remotely pulled me out of the mud within 5 minutes. KUDOS to this company & driver who pulled me out of the mud!! Definitely recommend this company.

Waited 1 hr for tow service, dispatcher calls and says they had to cancel the tow when they saw it was a boat and trailer to go on a flatbed. So left me hanging so a local tow service company small private business owner said he got me.. 40 mins later my boat at home. And I tipped him lol Capital towing left me hanging on a hot summer day. On 1/28/2025 I Farensky Thomas requested a tow from this company because my vehicles ESL had locked, and I was unable to turn on the vehicle nor put it in neutral. Being parked at H.E.B in one of the diagonal parking spaces the tow truck was unable to park directly behind my vehicle due to the limited amount of space and other vehicle’s being parked in the parking lot. I visually saw the Tow Truck Driver take pictures of my vehicle prior to, prior to leaving H.E.B and finally at my place of residence thankfully I took pictures also prior to leaving H.E.B along with the call logs and everything else that’s pertinent to this Tow. I visually saw the Tow Truck Driver hook up my vehicle to my Front Left Driver side wheel underneath the vehicle. Which I thought nothing of it because he was doing that to turn my vehicle to place it on to the Ramp. Unfortunately, I didn’t go take pictures of the left side of the vehicle, but I didn’t think too much of it because I knew that the Tow Truck Driver already took pictures prior to even touching my vehicle. Once at my place of residence as he was lowering my vehicle the front left wheel touched pavement and began to turn inwards. I immediately told the driver of my findings, and he told me that once I unlock the steering wheel and start to drive the vehicle it would straighten out. He began to push to my vehicle with the ramp and it got worse. I didn’t take his word for mouth, so I called Capital Towing to inform them of what happened, where I spoke to the dispatch person who contacted the driver herself and recited the same exact thing that the Tow Truck Driver said. She also stated that “ONCE I FIX MY VEHICLE AND IF THE PROBLEM STILL HASN’T FIXED ITSELF TO GIVE THEM A CALL BACK.” Call logs of this is also documented and pictures are there. No timeline on when I had to get the vehicle fixed was given or anything. So, I called back a month and a half later after waiting for parts and time to work on my vehicle. Only because that’s what I was told by the female dispatcher that night. Part orders and time frames of me working on this vehicle within that month and half are also documented as well. It wasn’t like I was just blowing this matter off or calling about this issue days or weeks or months later. When the issue was addressed that given moment when the Tow had taken place that night. So, what does me calling back a month and half later matter when the issue was addressed immediately with given the condition and circumstances of my vehicle? To include the vehicle is unable to start or move so what could have possibly happened within that timeframe that I was negligent on besides spam calling capital towing everyday of this matter because it seems they forgot. So then when speaking to a lady by the name of Anina who I also believe was the same person I spoke to that night of the tow. She hung up in my face after me stating that I was going to involve my lawyer because she was claiming the pictures that I took were at H-E-B when they were at my Residence. And that supposedly the time frame was to long for me to fix my vehicle and why am I calling about it now. I wasn’t being rude, nor disrespectful to her because she is only a dispatch person. Nor was I upset at the tow truck driver because accidents happen. But I did not respect the disrespect she presented when she hung up in my face. I’m not sure if it was her who was working that night, but I am pretty sure it was her who told me to do exactly what I did. I then physically went and asked to speak to a supervisor or manager at The San Benito Location and spoke to the manager or supervisor by the name of Nicole. When speaking to her that day, she was repeating the same exact thing about the timeframe and that I was already having steering issues when that wasn’t the case because an ESL being locked has nothing to do with Steering and supposedly that my vehicle was already damaged with a bent tie rod at H-E-B which also makes no sense because how did I drive it there?

My truck got towed last night because my tire barring broke and I called this morning and had the rudest lady answer she hung up on me twice and would not let me know how much the price would be to take it out. I am very frustrated due to not having a vehicle and she was not considerate or compassionate about the situation at all. She did not want to give me her name. The location is Port Isabel Tx and I called at 10:50 am 1/27/25 I do NOT recommend this place at all unless u want bad customer service from an unwelcoming rude worker.

Capital towing delivered a customers RV to our shop in Rio Hondo that was in need of a new axle repair. The two men that delivered were very courteous and delivered the RV in a safe timely manner.

Was Looking for a lower quote and fast response & that’s everything they provided. I did not get the names of the people i spoke to but i spoke with a lady and a gentleman came to tow the car. It was only a 3 mile drive from place to place but it was quick and with ease. Thank you all so much!

If I could give zero stars I would. I have been asking for a receipt since yesterday when I paid for the tow service. I've provided my email address to 3 different people. I was told initially that I would have it emailed to me in the morning. It is 2 oclock in the afternoon and I still have not received it. The receptionist Anina is very rude. I dont know how she has a job as customer service. I dont think it should take this long to provide a receipt because all other tow companies give you the receipt right there and then.

Regrettably, I was involved in a minor accident, and my insurance coverage had just expired. As a result, my vehicle had to be impounded in accordance with city regulations. This incident added to my anxiety, as I had been involved in two prior incidents where my car was hit. I must express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional assistance provided by the company. In particular, I would like to commend Anita, who works at the San Benito office. She demonstrated remarkable professionalism and kindness throughout the process. Anita went above and beyond to assist me by establishing contact with the individual responsible for the location where my car was impounded. Although there was a slight delay of approximately 45 minutes, I fully comprehend that the staff was managing a high volume of requests at that time. Nevertheless, I am overjoyed to have my car back in my possession and am immensely grateful for the assistance I received. Once again, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional support provided.

5 stars out of 5! I don’t usually leave reviews, but after today’s experience with Capital Towing, I feel like I have to give credit where it’s due. I needed my truck towed, and I can’t say enough good things about the service, especially thanks to Roy, the driver. He wasn’t just professional—he was genuinely kind, patient, and treated my truck as if it were his own. Roy took the time to explain everything, ensured the tow was done safely, and even made sure I was comfortable with every step of the process. It’s rare to find someone who goes above and beyond like that. Roy turned what could’ve been a stressful experience into a smooth one. I’m incredibly thankful for the outstanding care he showed, and to top it off, the price was very fair for the level of service I received. Roy, you are the reason I’ll be recommending Capital Towing to everyone I know! If you ever need towing, ask for Roy!

As the old adage goes, if I could give them zero stars I would. I’m picking up my daughter from her school event. At 11pm while in the school parking lot my truck goes crazy on me. I do a google search and Capital was the first one to come up and it had good reviews. I guess my first sign that this wasn’t a good experience was when not only did I have to repeat my information to Karen multiple times, but she kept putting me on hold. I submit my order and they send a link for payment which was excessive, but when in desperation. I get a call from the driver and he said “I’ll be leaving here in 5 minutes” so I wait, and I wait, and I wait. 40 minutes later I call him and he says “oh the office didn’t call you? I was routed to help on an accident.” Nope no one called me. So I ask him how much longer and he said I’m wrapping up I should be there in 30 minutes. 40 minutes later I call again. He doesn’t answer. I call the main office and I’m livid. “I’ll have him call you with an update.” No call so I call back. “He said he was wrapping up and he was calling you.” My phone starts ringing while talking to the office. It’s the driver “oh I took another job. The office didn’t tell you? I’m in Combes. I’ll be there like in 20 minutes. I made the call at 11:07pm and at 105pm. I asked them to cancel and called another company and they charged me half the price and will be here in 15 minutes. I’ve demanded a refund and Karen said she will leave a note for management. If I have to deal with a headache on a refund I’ll just dispute with my credit card company and file a BBB complaint. This company has horrible service.

The service I received from this company, in particular from operators Roy Williams and Martin Hernandez, was very well executed and thought out given the issue with my Tesla Model S. They both went out of their way to make sure that the car was moved as carefully as possible on and off the flatbed, and helped me bring my car back home and maneuver it into my garage to charge. After a negative experience with AAA the night prior who refused to take on the “risk”, these operators from Capital Towing had a problem solving mindset, which was very much needed and appreciated in this situation. In addition, the customer service line was very easy to communicate with. Would recommend this service to other Tesla owners.

I had the unfortunate experience of having to use a towing service but when I called the lady I spoke with was very pleasant and they had a tow truck to me within 20 minutes. The tow truck driver was extremely helpful and nice. They made what I expected to be an unpleasant situation much better because of their service.

I was a passenger princess waiting as my friend was handling the talking with the rude employee. I would just like to start off by saying this company has absolutely no right to be giving out personal information because it is not everyone’s business to know what happened or what is going on . Secondly this company likes to attack people by putting words in their mouth that we’re never said nor mentioned before as well as bully people for no reason . So instead of giving out people’s information do your job and talk to them 1 on 1 it is really that simple . In my opinion I think it is pretty sad that you have your own employees rating your reviews like talk about clout chasing for real. Grow a pair first before you attack your customers.

Customer service could benefit from enhancing their interpersonal skills, specifically by displaying greater patience when addressing basic questions. This is evident from my recent exchange where I asked if there were alternative locations and received a discourteous response followed by an unceremonious hangup . 4th reply- My review may be irrelevant to your business, but it was also solely on your customer service via phone. Thank you for acknowledging my review as baseless and pointless, which reflects your company's indifference towards addressing minor issues such asking a question via phone call with professionalism.

I am unable to respond to the owner of the business as it seems that they have mistaken me for another customer. Despite never having seen their employee face-to-face, I contacted their office with a simple question about whether or not they had an alternative location. Unfortunately, this mistake has led to misinformation being shared and wasted time. It is unfortunate that this type of error would occur in your company resulting negative reviews. Edit: (Adding to the 2nd reply from business owner) It's perplexing that rather than apologizing for poor customer service experiences shared on public platforms, you opt to disclose client information without consent nor relevance; perhaps focusing more efforts towards improving your customer service would be beneficial. For reference, I am not your customer’s sister. I am speaking up for anyone that has had poor customer service with your company. (3rd reply) What is unfortunate is that you continue to provide information that is not relevant to my review. While your towing services may be great and your drivers may be amazing, my critique is solely based on the abrupt behavior of your employee. I will not tolerate poor customer service. Additionally, you are assuming that I need to provide reasons for why my car was impounded when, in fact, I have never had a vehicle with your company. You are making assumptions as you have been from the beginning and providing me with incorrect information. My call to your business was simply to ask for your location as your website shows an address in Harlingen while social media indicates San Benito. If you have voice recordings on your business phones I highly recommend reviewing that and you will know that I did not harass, but asked as nicely as possible solely about your location. I had no items impounded with you. Your response only further illustrates your lack of understanding and competence. Have a day!

Worst towing company. They take advantage of you and your business. Charged us 30k to move two wrecked units claiming a whole bunch of pick up and cleaning fees. What makes it worse is that they stole equipment and chemical hoses out of my trailer. Clearly on the pictures at the moment of picking up the wrecked truck and trailer the hoses were there, but they never released the pictures when they dropped the units. Claiming the hoses where there and the whole equipment was there when they dropped if off at the mechanic. I got the evidence from the mechanic of the missing equipment at the drop off, yet Capital Towing kept ignoring the emails, the calls and claimed they did not have our equipment. Finally, they insulted us and treated to call the police which we would have loved that. because they are bullies and abusive company. Everyone that works there. Drivers, receptionist and managers who never bother to call back.

The driver was great. But the management and or operating partners attempted to defraud me and my insurance company. I was told nobody would be heading to me and my family until I put my card on file because my roadside assistance only covered a certain amount of miles. So I did what anyone would do... in good faith I gave my card information. Then they lied to my insurance company claiming they provided far more services than they actually did. They told my insurance company they had to take me an hour away.... in all reality we only went 7 miles up the highway. Once we confronted about this lie and several others I was told I couldn't be helped because of my attitude. I do not want a discount, a refund, or a free service. I want pay for the work that was done. I have integrity and value peoples time, energy and skill. But that appreciation goes out the window when you are constantly lied to and insulted by money hungry opportunist who stole from me in a crisis. This company is disgusting and I hope it was worth it.

Capital Towing provided such great towing services when I was in need! All the staff I worked with were extremely professional and nice, they definitely eased my stress with such a quick and efficient process from start to finish! I would highly recommend!
