Great fishing spot. Pretty crowded though. Bathrooms on site, but theyre pretty dirty. Hard to complain though as the alternative of no bathrooms is worse. Spot for kids to play as well, overall great place definitely recommend

Love the environment and the amount of space to fish not to mention the park for the kids!!

The ground including the playground is over ran with fishers and their hooks. Not to mention the trash. It's like they never heard of a trash can. The bathrooms are so nasty with sitting water (I hope) in the stalls plus poop on the walls. The maintenance guy kicked me out and left before I even got to my car doing nothing. There are hooks all over the jetty, the playground and the parking lot.

Stayed at a AirBnB on the beach. The beach was clean and people were surfing, swimming, fishing on the Jetty and just hanging out on the beach. It was a wonderful time!

We had a good time. It’s peaceful but a lot of fishers along the rocks. We didn’t catch anything so we’re going to try another spot.

This is a beautiful place. It has a parking lot and it has restrooms. A perfect spot to fish and crab. It has big boulder rocks right by the water, were you can step out on to fish. On yesterday 12/19 my mom and I seen like 4 dolphins

Less people comparing to Galveston and thank god water was much clearer though it rain alot. The beach house was pretty good too. Good fishing spot.

The jetty has a relatively smooth walking surface 3/4 of the length. The remainder is mostly even. There is a large drop-off that would make assisted walking or wheel chair access challenging. Fishing spots are everywhere. Depending upon seasons, you can spot porpoise, birds, the occasional sea turtle in the waters surrounding the jetties. Access is free, so go take a look.

We love to hang out and walk the jetty. Quiet town- not crazy like Galveston . Great family friendly spot

Lots of mullet running. Watch out for the rocks. Caught a shark. WARNING they have the nastiest smelliest men's bathroom i have ever experienced. Pee all over the floor. Last time it was sewage about an inch high. Very disgusting!

I absolutely recommend coming here!! I almost want to gate keep it! It is a GREAT place to bring your family as every person there just thrives with what they are doing and genuinely tends to mind their own businesses! If you're going to walk the Jetty, wear the correct kind of shoes.... tennis shoes would be best. Fishermen fish there as well. It is a shared space with mutual respect! I LOVE THAT!!! They are mindful of you, but you absolutely need to be aware and mindful of them as well! As accidents do and can happen! Be prepared to see dead sea life... (nothing drastic!! But again, maybe not vegan friendly) again it is a shared space! And use extreme caution when reaching the end. It is very uneven and can be dangerous especially on the wet granite rocks. I don't recommend taking any form of special needs especially those whom have a little extra energy that they can't contain. BUT definitely worth doing the short hike for those who can. It's not too horrible of a hike and not too horrible of a level of danger. It's just best to be completely aware of your surroundings so you don't get injured. My only complaint. I'm ok with scraps being left behind. What came from the earth shall retain to the earth. ?♀️ Fisherman..... maybe please atleast throw the dead sea life ontop the rocks inside of leaving on the sides of the jetty walkway. I literally lay blankets and towels on the floorboard of my car, as to not drag too much of the outdoors into my car. Putting it lightly and nicely. ? Please please just throw it onto the rocks for the other sealife to claim. A dead fish floats, the seagulls can get it, but also... atleast something will get it. ? Please take anything that isn't organic home with you! Your trash doesn't need to stay there. Let's keep the Jetty beautiful and enjoyable for all! ?? Overall..... I do genuinely 1000% recommend this park for families!

One of my favorite spots to come visit and just hang out and relax. Used to be visited by a lot less people. However over the years, seems like there's are more fisherman here everyday than their used to be. Parking can be difficult at times, but still a great stop to enjoy the view and enjoy the water or sun. Locals are very friendly, not once have we ever had a problem. The park security is normally on point and seen present often. Safe for everyone. Hope you enjoy.

This jetty in Freeport is a must visit when fishing the Texas coast. This is where we have caught the most fish species in one day. It’s free! Parking is also free. But be ready to walk. Bring a wagon and plenty of water.

Had the whole place to ourselves on a weekday. Beaches were clean. Trash bins were emptied. Plenty of picnic tables. We were able to shower and and change clothes before driving back home.

I visited the Surfside jetty County Park and honestly it’s a lot better than I expected, but there are some minor improvements that can be made. My favorite part was walking all the way down to that yield sign at the end of the catwalk. I’m guessing that’s called and the waves there were pretty wild and I almost got swept into the ocean. It was actually really really fun. I would definitely come back again. The reason I don’t give it five stars is because the Waters are kinda ugly and there’s trash everywhere but if you just pay attention to the water, it’s really cool. I also saw a dolphin in the sea turtle.

No entry fee, free parking, nice little covered playground. Restrooms dirty but worked. Great views on the jetty - great place to walk or ride a mountain bike. Partially paved; people pull wagons with fishing gear or kids.

It took us 1.5 hours on Saturday morning to get there from Northwest Houston area due to the traffic by the NRG stadium due to the Houston Rodeo and Livestock Show. Free parking, nice fishing areas near the big rocks (be careful going down), and a mostly sandy beach area for swimming but the water was cold. Overall, family-friendly and clean. We also saw 4 dolphins swimming near the breakwater.

Loved fishing here. It's a beautiful spot to fish in March. It's a super great spot to watch the sunrise in March as well. We caught a few fish. I recommend this place for family outings. There is a restroom on site. The pier is about two miles down. #its a different type of peace ✌️

Sufside Jetty County Park is so nice. The lush greenery and well-maintained trails invite visitors to explore the natural beauty that surrounds them. Families often gather for picnics, enjoying the serene atmosphere and stunning views of the water. Additionally, the park offers various recreational activities, from fishing to kayaking, making it a perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts. As the sun sets, the park transforms into a picturesque setting, ideal for capturing memorable photographs.

It's a jetty. 6/10 of a mile in length. Smooth for about 2/3 of it, then it gets a bit rough from erosion. Lot of folks walking and fishing it. Playground and bathrooms. Bathrooms smelled of piss a bit, but that's more the fault of inconsiderate people and not the park.

Incredible view. Some of the ships that come through the port are incredible to watch. Be careful of the tides and weather though. Stormed for 1 day and the waves were crashing all over the pier. Definitely not too safe unless you have some nice days. All in all it was a great week and a lot of fun. Went through 10 loaves of bread feeding the sea chickens.

Great place to fish. There's plenty of room, even when there is a crowd and there are rod holders in some places (best to bring your own). There's plenty of parking and restrooms are available. I wish Quintana and Galveston would follow suit and level the top of their jetties so bank fishermen could walk out there, too. Grab some sun block, a hat, chair, and fishing gear. Good times!

Really love the easy access from the parking lot to the jetty for fishing folks. One thing I do want to emphasize for fellow fisherman and visitors, please take what you bring with you. I was walking down the jetty and picking up trash whenever I can, but the trashes left behind were too much to take :( Other than that, the place is beautiful to go to for fishing and enjoying the beach.

This is one of the spots to surf in Surfside. It definitely breaks a little cleaner here than a few miles down the beach. We were only here a week and the surf was pretty small but it looks like a fun spot when the waves are a bit better. We enjoyed our stay here for the week and would definitely recommend the area for a nice quiet and relaxing stay on the coast! The water is pretty warm and the air temperature was nice this time of year! There is a cool surf shop nearby also to rent surfboards if you want to paddle out!

It's a smaller beach and wasn't too crowded in the morning but did get crowded later in the day. The beach was clean and some guys even came by and were giving people trash bags, which I thought was awesome. Great place for fishing. It even has a little playground for kids. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting, though. It smelled like urine even from outside. And I wish they would have at least had a place to spray off. I think it's mainly a place for fishing and is a perfect place to do just that.
