Very helpful and straightforward. I bought steel from them, and they had a decent collection of new and used pieces.
They speak Spanish as well if you needed.
Friendly and respectful staff , easy transactions , fair pricing ... They are easy to find just follow Google and when close look for the big blue barrier wall. They take aluminum siding and gutters , and they take cans ( different drop location and different pricing ) they take iron , car parts , refrigerators , window ac units , microwaves , stop by and make that monies while helping to clean up our Temple area.
I've been collecting and selling scrap metal for a while now. It is hard work but it feels so worth it at the end of the day. The folks who work here are so nice and helpful explaining the differences in the metals. I don't know aluminum from silver so they helped me separate them so I ended up getting way more than I thought I was going to get. They are all so patient with me. These guys work so hard out there. I can't say enough kind words. I really appreciate them so much!!
Do NOT ever go here if you have engines, carburetors, rotors, and other auto parts to scrap. I had 2,900 pounds of aluminum and they marked it up as TIN and only paid me HALF of what it was worth (0.06 rather than 0.12)! They saw what was on my truck and I told them what it was. They don't have separate areas to sort and weigh after each separate metal is removed. You will NOT get your money's worth at this place, they're thieves & scam you! You're better off traveling out of town. Someone else who wrote a review also wrote that they cheat you on the kind of metal you have and he was right. I should've listened to his review and not gone here, but I know better now & am taking my scrapping elsewhere because I just got DOUBLE in another location for an almost identical load!
Their roll off bin service is unreliable.
I've scheduled the delivery of a bin twice. After scheduling with them weeks in advance and taking off work to meet their driver, I've been told that they had a blow out, and that all their drivers all called out.
Awsome people doing a dirty job. They give free treats to my kids when they are with me. Always pleasant when I have visited. How can you complain about a place where you stop in with trash metal and leave with cash in hand.
Awesome operation. Each time I was there, staff and workers were knowledgeable, professional, helpful, kind and patient in explanations to my questions. Prices surprised me each visit. More than I expected in cash return for the small size load. They are fast too. I'll be going back in future.
Picked up two sheets of 14 ga diamond plate steel. Price was competitive. Service was excellent. Vendor loaded with forklift right away. I'll do business with Temple Iron & Metal again.

Have had the opportunity to take multiple bags of aluminum cans to them. Employee was very helpful. To me this place must have been here for a long while, due to being in the city limits. I didn't make much money but better than throwing them away.
Rip off. Be prepared for the acclimation of your business into treatment like that of cattle. This locations online prices do not match at all and If you bring it up, with proof, a hostile "lost in translation" scenario is guaranteed. Seems like those blank 5 star reviews are with out a doubt employee make up.
