A mom & pop type of restaurant worth visiting... The food is worth driving for, you can tell because it's the busiest place in Scotland TX. No problems getting seated on Valentine's Day. The food is delicious, the drinks are good. Special menu for brunch, plenty of desserts, you don't run out of options and it's hard to choose because they're all good. Pricing is affordable and the ingredients are all fresh. I spoke to a few people, everybody is friendly and knowlegable. Definitely a favorite spot.

We had been to the distillery a few miles down the road and the owners suggested Snookies. It is unassuming from the road but very nice inside. We had the brisket stuffed jalapeños for an appetizer and all I can say is WOW! Talk about delicious, and huge! My husband had the meatloaf with a salad and the garlic mashed potatoes. I had the chicken fried steak with salad and garlic mashed potatoes. Oh my gosh, it was delicious! I didn’t have to add salt or pepper and that may be a first for me. The mashed potatoes might just be better than mine. The crust on my steak didn’t come off when cut into and that’s noteworthy of itself. And the portion size?! All I can say is you had better be hungry! Do not pass by this little diner without giving it a try, it will not disappoint!

The food is amazing. I’ve had shrimp cooked multiple ways and it was perfection. The burgers are terrific. The appetizers will keep you coming back as well. The team delivered one of the best eating experiences since moving to this area. Their staff is top notch.

Nice quiet family restaurant with a great food menu and excellent service. This would be my 2nd time here and this time I had the Meaty Melt Burger which was delicious and they have Sweet Potato Fries which is a huge Bonus. Overall experience is great and welcoming.

Best cheeseburger I’ve had in a long time! The onion strings were superb. My husband enjoyed the delicious chicken fried steak. Snookies Craft Kitchen is a new favorite for us!

Scotland TX (pop. 400) is a proverbial wide place in the road about 20 miles south of Wichita Falls TX on US281. We likely would not have stopped here if Snookies Craft Kitchen was not a Harvest Host site. We were traveling across north Texas and needed an overnight stay in the vicinity of Wichita Falls. Snookies stood out on the Harvest Host app. What a stroke of good fortune! They have a dedicated RV parking space along the fence at the far right hand end of their parking lot. The large gravel parking lot had plenty of room to unhook our Jeep and maneuver into the level parking space. The cream at the top of our stay, however, was dinner at the restaurant! They have an extensive selection of "big city" menu items with excellent quality food at small town prices in a comfortable casual setting with superb service. The deep fried jalapeño bacon pimento cheese balls were amazing and the Almond Joy cake dessert was absolutely decadent. This seems to be a destination dining site for folks from all the surrounding towns as well as the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. If you are in the area Snookies definitely should be on your bucket list!

Food and service here is excellent! The servers are really nice and attentive. I had the Chicken and Waffles with some fried okra. Everything was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend taking the trip out here, if you can.

Great staff and a great atmosphere. I’ve been coming here for years, and it has never disappointed—until recently. On my last visit before leaving the area, we decided to have one final get-together. Unfortunately, the experience fell short when part of my meal was burnt by the cook. This ended up upsetting my stomach quite badly and sent me to the bathroom in significant pain. I still recommend this place, as long as the kitchen pays close attention and avoids burning the hash browns or any other items. Despite the many good experiences I’ve had in the past, I can’t help but feel a bit resentful about this particular visit. On a positive note, the staff did make things right by not charging me for the meal, and I truly appreciate that gesture—though the discomfort unfortunately remained. Nonetheless, I will miss eating here from time to time. Take care, ya'll.

We just had the BEST brunch we have had in a long time! The menu had so many good options. We went with the shrimp and grits and chicken and waffles and they were both delicious! The service was incredible, the restaurant was clean, and the prices were great! I can’t believe we hadn’t tried Snookie’s sooner. We have some catching up to do and we’re excited to try their dinner!

Every time we come here it’s AMAZING! The staff are so kind and welcoming! Very accommodating of my toddler- high chairs, boosters, kids coloring menu! The food is impeccable. I can guarantee you that you won’t be disappointed with whatever you get! Trip was a great server too very personable!

Wonderful food and great staff. We had the chopped brisket sandwich, chicken fried chicken, and Mac and cheese with brisket. All three were delicious. Portions were generous. Couldn’t ask for better service or nicer staff. Prices are very reasonable.

Just ate at Snookies in Scotland TX. Had their blackened seafood combo with a house salad and loaded french fries. That is probably the BEST meal I have had out in quite a while and all for less than $20.00. The blackened fish and shrimp were EXCELLENT with just the right amount of spice, the french fries were crisp and well seasoned with tons of toppings, and the salad was a perfect blend of spring mixed greens. In fact the only complaint I could think of was that I was so full, I didn’t have room to try their delicious cchocolate cake! A GREAT place!!!

When in Scotland, hungry, good place to take a break an get off the road. I did not care for the chili seasoning in the meatloaf, but the fried green tomatoes & okra were good. My wife enjoyed the chicken strips. Price was moderate and quantity was large portions. Maybe I should have tried the chicken fried stake instead. Maybe next time. Waitress was kind and attentive. Food was prompt in serving & hot.

That little 20 minute drive to this place was so worth it!! I have not been fully satisfied with a meal out to eat since I left DFW. When I tell you I will be back because I am determined to have everything on this menu! I had the De'Monte Burger & also tried the Brisket poppers. Try this place! So clean, our waiter was amazing, and the chef is kind. Ps the fried green tomatoes oh lord!!

I am definitely a fan! First of all, we arrived just after opening for the day, so we were initially one of only a few tables. But shortly after, every table was full. I watched the owners get up and start cleaning tables, filling empty cups, taking orders, delivering food... no sitting back and watching the wait staff run ragged. That impressed me. And then came the food. We were delighted by the leveled-up versions of old standbys - the meatloaf was not your mama's meatloaf. It was wrapped in bacon and anything but bland. The grilled cheese was next level for sure... my husband keeps begging to go back even though its a 90 minute drive for us! :) So, needless to say, we will be back. I also enjoyed the little gift shop up front. Lots of nifty gifts available. The prices are very good, in the restaurant and the shop.

We made our way up to Snookie’s from Grapevine and man was it worth it! The atmosphere is awesome. Love the lighting and all the wood! But the menu. Wow. Where do you start? Well after a delightful apps sampler I started with the Ultimate Grilled Cheese and house chips. Holy Moses! Cream cheese in a grilled cheese with bacon?!? THE BEST GRILLED CHEESE EVER!! Now we have to plan a trip back to try out the Sunday brunch. Word on the streets of Scotland indicate it’s to die for!! Until we are back again… I could make this review three pages long talking about what a find this place is, but that would just delay you getting your hands on the great eats here, so do yourself a favor, stop reading, and just start driving there!

Updated review: Visit #2: I had the Meatloaf this time with mashed potato along with chaser salad. Loved it all- loved the texture of the meat of meatloaf and the topping was sweet tomato glazed that paired perfectly. Wife had Fried chicken and I tried a piece and we both found it mouth watering. Will definitely visit again and try something different. Maybe their fish?? We shall see. 5 ? once again! Our 1st vist for the wife and myself, will not be our last. Promptly greeted and seated. The food was great! Started off with the cheese curds which are small fried cheese bites. They were good. Wife had meatloaf with side of garlic mashed taters and salad. I had chicken fried steak with the same sides. We got our entrees and split it between us 2. Her meatloaf which was wrapped in bacon was very tasty with a hint of sweet flavor. We both loved the meatloaf. By the way, the salads were good and fresh! My chicken fried steak was just like I like it. Good flavor and not over breaded like some places we have eaten at. We ended with strawberry crunch cake. Perfect choice for our sweet tooth. The delivery of our food was efficient and we didnt have to wait on any of our food. The service was awesome with no complaints. Nice and friendly. Anxious to try more menu options on oit next visit.

Almost can’t put into words how good Snookies is! We got it Togo on our way through town but will definitely be making special trips in the future to go eat there. We got the Meaty melt burger and chicken fried steak, both were amazing! So much food we couldn’t finish it in one setting

Small town delicious food, the chicken Fried Steak delicious, it had seasoning not just breading . The mashed potatoes were real not instant, the gravy was great. The chicken Fried Chicken was perfectly cooked not dry in anyway. The staff was very friendly and service was fast. Try the appetizers they are of the chain good!!

Stop here for what ever meal you can! We were able to grab brunch here. The staff, Snookie, here husband and daughter were all very nice and helpful. Snookie was giving out complementary OJ and pomegranate refresher drinks and history lessons of the area. New brunch menu! I enjoyed the chicken fried steak with scrambled egg, side of bacon, grits and fruits with berries. The sidekick also enjoyed stuffed Frenched toast with bacon. We had coffee on both sides, it was a mild roast with good flavor. I did have the opportunity to try both Red and Green Snookie hot sauce. Red was more bold with a chipotle cumin punch and the green was very flavorful with a vinegar jalapeno spice. These are for sale in the entryway shop and table waiting area.

Absolutely outstanding. Everything I had was the best version I’ve had in a long time or maybe even ever. I had the seafood platter, side salad, and fries. Everything was HOT and FRESH, seasoned just right, and cooked perfectly. Side salad was really good fresh mixed greens (not cheap old iceberg lettuce, the ranch is top notch. Everything was delicious, quick, and high high high quality! Great service, proud and happy staff. 100% worth the drive down from the Falls. Can’t wait to come back!

My husband, my son and myself went here for dinner tonight. We had been wanting to try it out since we moved here last December. I thought it had to be a good place to eat because it was usually busy when we would drive by. I was sadly mistaken. For starters, the waitress had not been trained properly, when there is a man at the table, you take the customers order from his side of the table. She did not do that. Secondly, when our food was brought to the table, it looked presentable. However, my husbands fries were cold and his burger was not done inside and grease was dripping from it like a faucet. My son had the catfish that was cut too thin and extremely dry, the macaroni and cheese tasted like it had been microwaved. The hush puppies had no flavor and were doughy inside. My chicken fried steak was good and the gravy was edible. The cheesy garlic mashed potatoes were way too thick and did not taste good at all. My son and I also had ordered the Caesar salad, which was by no means a Caesar salad. Also, when the check was brought to the table, the waitress placed it on my side and not on my husbands. Will not recommend and will not return.

I am not being hyperbolic when I say that Snookies has consistently served me with the best food I have ever eaten. I paid four times this much for shrimp and grits at a fancy restaurant in Austin and it wasn't half as good. These grits are perfectly buttery and melt in your mouth, the shrimp and vegetables are both perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the entire dish melts into the best thing you'll ever put in your mouth. If you're here at brunch, try a poinsettia! It's like a mimosa but with cranberry juice instead of orange juice, and it's ridiculously good. The atmosphere in the restaurant is bright, clean, and cheerful. And you will never meet a nicer staff than the one employed here. Waiters are attentive and enthusiastic, the older couple whoever owned or run the place, I'm not sure, are the sweetest people ever. If you have any questions about the menu for the restaurant, you should definitely ask because they will be more than happy to let you know everything you want. The chef often makes the rounds of the tables when he has a chance so take the opportunity to let him know what a fantastic job he's doing. If you've never been here and you're passing by, or if you live within reasonable driving distance (I drive 20 minutes), I'm begging you to treat yourself and give Snookies a shot. I guarantee you won't regret it.

Nice quite drive to Scotland. Upon arrival the restaurant we were greeted while walking in the door. Restaurant gives off a homie yet romantic vibe, great for romantic get aways or to bring the kids. We were unsure what to get on the menu, but everything we ordered was amazing. The waitress was prompt and polite, and checked on us very frequently. One of the owners was there and friendly and polite as well! I cannot stress enough how amazing the food was, every bite was filled with flavor from the appetizer to the main course ! We found our new get away restaurant! The amazing view of the sunset only added to the restaurant even more! This review only allows me to select 5 stars but it is definitely a 10/10! The cook came by and checked on us as well! Very awesome friendly guy! That has a creative side for taste!

Snookies is a hidden gem in Archer County! This quaint country spot offers a delicious brunch. I recently tried their breakfast enchilada and grits, and it was fantastic. The enchilada was perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor, and the grits were creamy and delicious. The atmosphere at Snookies is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place for a relaxing weekend breakfast. The owners and family make this feel like home. Highly recommend!

THE BEST FOOD EVER. Customer service unmatched, seasoning DIVINE, prices reasonable, portions generous. Our chef was Demetrion and waitress, Gina. ? We had the stuff brisket jalapeño poppers, southwest chicken egg rolls, cheese curds, chicken fried steak (with mashed potatoes & Mac), grilled cheese, and hellapeno burger. The fries were so crispy! EVERYTHING was GREAT. Y’all have got to try them! We can’t wait to go back! And they have brunch/egg Benedict on Sundays! Literally not sure if we can follow up with any other recommendations because how can you top that?! Side note they’re BYOB
