Hydroplaned and wrecked, nearly died. City towed to S&J towing. They stole parts of my car, blamed me for the wreck and taunted me for nearly dying, and berated us when we pointed out the missing and replaced parts. Woman who was the owners wife, who perpetrated a majority of the taunts and insults, was too full of it and should not be allowed near people.
I had a great experience with S&J Towing after a recent car wreck. From the moment they arrived on the scene, they were professional and efficient. Not only did they handle the towing of my vehicle with care, but they also made the entire process of working with my insurance a breeze. They were responsive and took care of things smoothly over a holiday weekend.
For starters the address to the lot is incorrect.
I was able to get my belongings with no issue. My accident occurred Sunday evening. They would not return calls to my insurance on Monday for them to schedule pick up, Tuesday I called to give a verbal release after they had still ignored calls from my insurance, a tow company was scheduled to pick up my car and once they arrived they were not allowed on the lot. When I called he told me that he wasn’t aware there was anyone there but that they are by appointment only. (That would have been useful information when I gave my release.) When relayed to my insurance she said he had no issue waiving the appointment only but that he did have an issue with that company. But what happened to being unaware of what was going on??? Due to that we had to cancel that tow and send a NEW company. It is now Wednesday and my car has FINALLY been retrieved from their lot and arrived at the body shop. All in all this process was more stressful than the actual accident and they definitely did nothing to help the process go smoother.
My son hydroplaned on the interstate and wrecked his car into a guard rail. The car was towed here until State Farm could tow it elsewhere. We went to get his stuff out of the car, and this towing company had ripped off our rear fascia, stolen our right rear tail light, and replaced it with a cracked one that didn't even match the original on the other side. We have a video of the car after the accident that shows the fascia undamaged and in place and the light has never been replaced and was undamaged in the wreck. When confronted about it and shown the video and pics, we were screamed at, called liars, and were told that my son needs to learn how to drive. I told them I need to sign a release to have State Farm tow it to a salvage yard to be inspected, and the lady screamed at me that I just keep going on and on. They yelled at me to get my son off the property because he was mad that they called us liars and kept yelling at me to get off the property while I was trying to empty my car. The woman has no business dealing with customers. Neither does their boss. If I could give less than 1 star. I would. I strongly suggest using someone other than this company.
Well I have to agree with the other person saying he drives VERY recklessly in the Franklin area. I had an encounter where he forced me into the turn lane when he was in the lane that ended and it was his responsibility to merge safely. All the while I was up past the front of his truck. He basically didn't care if I ran into the innocent driver trying to make a left turn as he forced his way over on me forcing me into the turn lane and then making me make an emergency stop. I got past him when the road opened up into 4 lanes again as we crossed the Harpeth river to get his company name on the door and called him on my cell. I asked if he was the driver of the black wrecker just entering Franklin an he sad yeah and you are the fxxxing guy in front of me too. He was belligerent, cussed at me and said I was no where near the front of his truck when he pulled over on me. Said he had cameras on his wrecker and could prove it I asked him to pull over and show me the camera info, which of course he wouldn't. He is not a person I would ever want to deal with towing or otherwise. I recommend avoiding him and his business (Harpeth Towing is a great company by the way) based on his attitude and total lack of safety concerns (aren't wrecker operators trained how to be EXTREMELY safe due to the hazardous environment they work in??) to never call them for anything ever.
It had been a few years since I used their service, hoping that they were better than the last time I used them. Unfortunately, it's only gotten worse. The entire team is quite unprofessional, to say the least. There are several competitors that offer better service at a better price point.
I can’t speak for their service only for one driver. I was doing 83 in the HOV lane on 65 south when one of their tow trucks came up behind me and got on my bumper. I got over and he sped past me. After he approached a group of cars he commenced to weaving in and out of cars. The whole time he had his emergency lights on but I can’t imagine an emergency where the tow truck needed to be going that fast and driving the recklessly to get to.
