I would like to commend the driver, Brian, for giving great service that was quick, professional and courteous. I appreciate the way he worked my van into his schedule, arrived on time and provided expert care of loading my vehicle safely and helping me get my vehicle taken care of so that my day could be productive!

What if the amount you tell people on the phone is all they have .? My last review I was distraught and angry …at this point …Ive experienced so many other personal journeys …and it’s only been 30 days …I would be willing to talk to John if he’s willing to be honest..I’m leading and ending my review with positivity…everyone has a reason..it’s your character and the god that guides you I want too know better …the money that was taken hopefully is doing something good for you … I’m wishing nothing but happiness for anyone that loves good transparency and business . One of the greatest things I told my self was that hurt people hurt people …something happened that is making your practices so aggressive . There’s a story tell once you practice empathy and compassion for the world you are blessed to be in . Deep down I know you have people you have too feed . Self destruction of your business reputation isn’t worth it once you reach your goal .

This tow service did not disclose all of their charges upfront and waited until after I had been towed to charge me the extra in mileage, that they did not tell me about upfront. I do not recommend them to anybody. For what it’s worth they did tow my truck from one location to another, but they did it added inflated cost, which again was not disclosed… Update … I did reach back out to the owner as he requested to see if he would be willing to work with me for some of the undisclosed charges that were given. Not only was he not willing to do anything of that nature, but the business owner just did a retaliation post on my business site, leaving a one star review, for the review I left him… it had nothing to do with any service that would have been provided to him but to be clear , he has never used my service .. this is a very petty man, and I would never recommend him to anyone ever.!!!!

I will never been using this company for service. I was quoted $750 for a light duty tow for a mileage of roughly 10 miles. I called a different service and was only quoted $125 for the same thing. This sounds like they are just grifters and are only out to steal as much money from every person they can.

PRIORITY WRECKER OWNER JONATHAN MAYE IS A THEIF AND A FRUAD Be extremely cautious before doing business with this company — get everything in writing and avoid paying in cash or Zelle. I hired Priority Wrecker Service to tow my vehicle about 11 miles to the Dodge dealership. Before the tow began, the driver confirmed with dispatch that the total cost would be $87. However, during the tow, the driver stopped to pick up another vehicle without my permission, causing an unnecessary delay and violating our agreement. When the tow was finally completed, I was charged $395 instead of the agreed $87. The driver refused to take card payment and said they only accepted cash or Zelle, even though the company’s website clearly states they accept Visa and Mastercard. I felt pressured to pay through Zelle, which offered me no protection once the payment was sent. I have my receipt showing the $395 charge, and I’ve found other reviews from customers describing similar overcharging and payment issues, suggesting a pattern of dishonest practices. I’ve also filed a complaint with the State of Tennessee Division of Consumer Affairs, and the owner, Jonny (Jonathan) Maye, lied in his response to the state by claiming he didn’t recognize my name — even though my full name and phone number are clearly written on the invoice he provided. Furthermore, it has been brought to light that Jonathan Maye and Priority Wrecker Service do not have a valid towing permit and are not legally licensed to operate in Nashville. News Channel 5 even did a story highlighting their illegal and unethical business practices. I have also filed a small claims lawsuit to recover my losses. Consumers should use extreme caution before hiring this company.

After getting stuck on the highway during rush hour, I called several towing companies but only Priority Wrecker Service picked up immediately. They arrived sooner than estimated and handled everything smoothly. Great company and polite team.

My car stopped in the middle of the highway, and Priority Wrecker Service arrived in less than 20 minutes. The driver was polite and handled everything safely. Fast and reliable!

Charged 1165.00 just for a Jumpstart. 10 min work. Then only takes cash app or vendor or cash for payment. Doesn't tell you any of that when you call. After if you don't want to pay that amount they treaten to tow and impound your vehicle.

After my small accident, I was nervous about calling a tow truck. Wrecker sent a driver who was calm, courteous, and careful. He reassured me the entire time and handled my car like it was his own. Thank you!

When my SUV wouldn’t start on a rainy morning, I reached out to Wrecker Service. They were at my location within 15 minutes, got the car safely onto the truck, and even gave me a ride to the repair shop. Incredibly kind people.

My 18-wheeler broke down on a steep hill with a full trailer. Priority Wrecker Service handled it like a pro operation. They brought the right size wrecker, double-checked the chains, and safely pulled me out without any extra damage. It was clear they’ve done this a thousand times before. Top-tier team.

Priority Wrecker has helped me twice this year with my 18-wheeler, and both times were flawless. The drivers always arrive prepared, explain what they’re doing, and handle even large loads with zero damage. They take pride in their work, and it shows. This is the kind of service that builds long-term trust.

I can see why they have a bad rating, got ran on to the shoulder by one of there trucks towing a car in Nashville then watched him do the same to several other vehicles and not once did he use a turn signal. Maybe he couldn't see what he was doing because of the windows are illegally tinted black. I called the so called owner about his driver and all he wanted to do is scream and hauler. UNPROFESSIONAL.

My Jaguar had issues with the suspension. The only tow place available and reliable was priority. My car was taken care of and had pictures after drop off.

Priority has been quick and professional handling all our towing needs. Great turn around time and always responsive. Their customer service has been top notch. Highly recommend!

Under no circumstance should anyone work with this company. I had material that needed to be pulled off of a trailer, and was quoted $750 per hour by dispatch. From start to finish, this job was completed in 2.5 hours. They gave the carrier we were using an invoice for $4,350. They claimed four hours of work, charged me an additional $195 per hour for an extra worker(I never approved or was told about this), then $570 for a fuel surcharge(this was never mentioned by dispatch when we spoke about cost). When we asked them about the cost, they said pay it or they would tow the trailer back to their yard. The carrier was concerned over having their equipment stolen so paid the invoice. This is a blatant shady business practice, I cannot emphasize enough that this is a company to stay away from. As for your response below, I spoke to our carrier who was on site, and he confirmed to me that the person performing the labor didn't explain any of the costs until after the work was done. We agreed to $750 per hour, and for four hours of work(I am being extremely generous with stating this was four hours, it was closer to 3.25) that came to $4,350. The people that Priority Wrecker Service sent were intentionally evasive when discussing cost because they planned on charging so far off from what we agreed to that they knew we would decline the service, and then lied about the time it took to complete the job.

I wish there was a way I could give 0 stars or even take stars away!!! The ONLY good thing about this company was the lady who I spoke to on the phone!!! 09-26-2025 I was traveling west on I840 and I had a blowout at 417pm/1617. I made certain I made it to the exit 7 highway 100 to keep a safe way for them to work and stay away from traffic. I sat there for literally 6 hours and 23 minutes. The company was a WOPPING 27 minutes away from my breakdown location. Every single time I called they told me they would be there in the next 30 minutes. This was 6 different calls of I’ll be there in the next 30 minutes. When they got there he tried to convince me to get there tire that he brought that was mounted but I already had a spare. There were 4 ppl there and only one doing work. When he finished the tire change after 14 minutes, I guess he was the supervisor who was ready to collect payment. My total came out to be $1535.00 for ONE TIRE CHANGE WITH MY SPARE!!! The owner of my company got the tab paid but I was having trouble reaching him because it was after 10pm at this point. The lady who I spoke to on the phone confirmed that we could pay with credit card over the phone when the job is complete because it’s 24 hours. The repairmen told me they CANT accept over the phone payments because it was too late which is understandable BUT YOU TOOK 6.23 HOURS!!! 15 minutes went by of trying to get the tab paid and the guy was already grown very impatient and told me they were going to end up charging the company for the delay and then after 5 more minutes threatened to have my truck and trailer towed for none payment AS I WAS ON THE PHONE GETTING THE PAYMENT SITUATED WITH THE OWNER. While we were doing so, the guy was really insulting my intelligence and speaking to me and my supervisor like we were stupid or something and it was very irritating but I kept my professionalism in tact. He also spoke with the director of operations at my company and immediately raised his voice at him once he asked him why the price was so high. We were charged a fuel surcharge that was tremendous for them being 27 minutes away, 3 hours fee of $300 per hour and they had ME waiting 6+ hours. They also said there was a “camera/recording” fee!!! I’ve never heard of that. Why are we paying for YOU to record a video on your phone. This company is the definition of highway robbery!!! They were operating truck number 69. This makes no sense whatsoever and I do NOT recommend this company at all to anyone. I’ll walk to the tire shop before I use them again. And also I moved over far enough for them to get over far and out of traffic and they pretty much blocked the whole exit lane and had cars trucks and everything having to ride on the grass near the median and almost flip their vehicles to get by. They were unprofessional and tried to make it seem like we were doing something wrong. They’re called priority wrecker service but they showed that the ppl who are paying them are NOT a priority at ALL!!! Thank u. -a very disgruntled customer

Priority Wrecker Service does not provide a fee schedule upfront. They overcharge and add on extra fees to run the bill up. Not to mention, if you call for a mobile mechanic, they will send you a heavy duty wrecker with a base price of $375/hr. They also do not accept credit cards and charge a 10% fee on top of your bill if you don’t have cash or Zelle. Check out my bill that I’ve attached! Absolutely horrible to do business with! By the way, the actual work took less than an hour, but I was charged for 7 hours for the driving around they did to pickup a part that I offered to go get.

I would recommend using any other of the many towing services in our area! In a frazzled moment of having a blown out tire on the side of the road, my husband called priority and did not ask the cost up front. Communication could've been better because we were told he was 30 min out, he ended up getting pulled over and was about 30 min later than expected but my husband had to call to find that out. I thought my husband was joking with me when he told me the total bill was $470! I could actually not comprehend that could possibly be true because they only towed us 7.7 MILES!!!! A few months ago I had this same vehicle towed with a different company a total of 22 miles and it was only $110. I'm sorry but this is absolutely robbing people. I understand and take full ownership that it is our own fault for not asking cost upfront. This is one of the reasons I put two stars instead of one. But I never in a million dreams would've imagined they could charge us this much. Even our insurance company said to never use priority again because they will always be charging at least double all other services in the area.

Do not use these people!!! They charged $375 to tow it 1.8 miles away. They got our signature and then hiked up the rate on us. We then asked for them to not tow it and take it off the lift. They said, “that will cost $500.” We paid $500 and the car isn’t towed. Still sitting in front of our house. I tried to give them the opportunity to make it right by calling them, and they said I was black mailing them. I did call from another phone and asked for a quote after this happened and they quoted me $125 for the same service. When I called them out and said they charged us $500 on our prior call and took the money and left the car, that’s when I was accused of blackmailing. I recorded everything so I have proof.

Highway robbery on price!!!! Ridiculous!!!! Don’t use!!!! Total of $451!!!! Charged $195 to put my small MGB on the truck, $5 per mile from where they came from (15 miles) to the end destination (13 miles) total of $140, $60 in gas, $41 service fee and $15 photo fee!!!! Owner did not give me up front pricing when I asked and said the driver would tell me. When I asked if they had a Lebanon location, he said they had various locations including Lebanon. So dirty and underhanded. They are taking advantage of those who are in an emergency situation! I am so upset!!!!!

This wrecking service was phenomenal! My dad which is 77 years old broke down on the side of the road. So he couldn’t stay with the vehicle. We did have roadside so it was taken care of financially however the wrecker got there in 15 mins and called me and communicated with me every step of the way. From when he got to the location, hooked up the vehicle, and the drop. The whole process was smooth. He was in and out and the guy was super nice. Highly recommend!

Absolutely TERRIBLE company. PLEASE don’t waste your time or money. All we needed was a tire replaced on our trailer. They told us they’d be to us in an hour, two hours later they arrive. They brought the wrong wheel, had to go get the correct one, which took another hour…when they finally got it changed they billed us $1200. Only accepted cash or cash app and we had neither. Someone was bringing us the cash to pay, which was going to take them 45 minutes to bring us. They then decided they would try to charge us another $200 to get THEIR MONEY. We spoke with a manager who then threatened to come fight on the side of the road. THP had to be called. We also had our 1 year old with us while we sat on the side of the road for 5 hours. It was a nightmare and this company is a nightmare.

I called Priority, and after a 2 hour wait, my vehicle was towed to a mechanic less than 5 miles away. It wasn't until then that I was told this would cost me $385, and cash was the only payment option they would accept. Anyone with any kind of integrity would have led with that. Very disappointed

They said they would be right there! Over 2 hours later they arrived. Towed our vehicle less than 6 miles. They failed to mention that they don't take credit cards! I do not recommend them at all.

Got stuck in Franklin after my alternator gave out. Priority Wrecker Service showed up quickly, got my car loaded safely, and brought it straight to the shop. Ernie was very helpful throughout the process and made sure to call me afterward to confirm everything was handled. Truly professional service.

The pick up was set up through my insurance company for a problem with my vehicle, but the driver was professional on time quick to deliver at the drop off spot so my vehicle could be repaired. I had no trouble at all he was quick and efficient as well as extremely polite thru the whole process. Will be using the same company in the future if the need arises.

DO NOT USE THIS TOWING COMPANY. I am writing this to warn others before they are taken advantage of like I was. Priority Wrecker Service charged me nearly $500 in cash to tow my car only 15 miles during an emergency. They never disclosed the full charges upfront, and I felt taken advantage of, especially as a woman. Here’s what they don’t tell you before towing: • They charge you for photos ($15) • They charge for their own gas ($60) • They charge for miles it takes to get to you ($75) • They charge loaded miles ($70) • They charge a $200 hooking fee • They add a “service fee” ($41) They will only mention the hook fee and miles to your destination when you ask, hiding the rest until it’s too late. I called the company to explain how I felt the payment and their lack of clear communication was unfair, and that I had been overcharged. The manager showed zero empathy and told me he would not help me because I was “making his life hard.” Meanwhile, he completely ignored how they made my life hard by charging me $500 in cash for what should have been a $200 tow. To add to the insult, a man I know called the company the next day asking about a tow, and they offered him a much lower price immediately. When confronted, the manager said he “gave him a discount for no reason,” proving they change their prices depending on who is calling. It is deeply disturbing that in an emergency situation, they expect customers to have $500 in cash ready with zero warning, while they are towing your disabled vehicle with no regard for your circumstances. I completely regret working with Priority Wrecker Service of TN, and I hope this review warns others before they fall into the same situation. This company lacks transparency, empathy, and basic fairness in how they treat customers. They will overcharge you, hide fees, and leave you feeling taken advantage of. Stay away and find a towing service that treats people with honesty and respect.

*response to the owner’s response* Quoted from an email sent by the Transportation Licensing Division “ Priority Wrecker Service is not licensed or permitted to do business in Davidson County. The company applied and was denied by the Transportation Licensing Commission. They appealed the decision to Chancery Court (attached), and the decision to deny their permit was upheld.” I also have the court documents supporting the above information. Beware of hidden fees and predatory business practices with Priority Wrecker Services at all “advertised” locations. My grandmother was taken advantage of and grossly overcharged on 4/30/25. My attempts to contact the business to give them a chance to make things right have been ignored other than their typical response to reviews with an apology and request to be contacted. According to the Nashville Department of Transportation, this business is operating illegally and without a permit in Davidson County. They’ve been reported to the Tennessee Attorney General.
