Quick easy and honest people will not rip you off.I've been going to this place since I was a little boy with my parents the owner that used to have it my dad and I knew him very well it's sad to see that he sold it. I thought they keep it in the family. I'm glad he knew owners are taking very good care of it and great customer service. Hope to be doing business with you many years. would leave no stars but i cant. everyone there was so rude and disrespectful. i was promised over the phone with an employee at volunteer recycling that promised me $5 for my number 1 copper. i brought 210lbs of number one copper and only received $600. if you fo the math, $5 per lbs times 210lbs would be $1050. they shorted me almost $500. i attempted to reason with the woman at the front desk about my rip off and was told to never come back. overall this was a total waste of time and money on my half. i recommend everyone to take their copper to harris recycling in lebanon tn.
Scamming!!!!!!!Bad employees with attitudes I weighed 210 pounds of #1 copper and they said they would give me 5 a pound..they only paid half and told me to get to out after I called them out on their weight scams..
The guys that sort up front are cool as a fan, their top notch customer service is almost enough to distract from the high pitched, distressing mooing from a certain uncultured menopausal heifer at the weight station.
Best recycling place I've ever dealt with. Best price for scrap, plus special pricing if you have old/nonworking motors transformers. Very clear and transparent in explaining the difference in metal types and price. It can be a little crowded during peak hours, they keep the shred "drive thru" surprisingly nail free.
These people are great. They had everything ready when I got there. The tow truck had already dropped my van off. And they did the rest. The tow truck driver even highly recommended them.
Great place for the most part friendly people. .. you do need to have a little bit of knowledge about the recycling grades because every once and a while they have that one new guy that won't help you with separate stuff correctly but for the most part a really good place to recycle
Did some spring cleaning recently. And helped a friend move. So, I had some metal to recycle. I looked up the prices and found out that metal was 178 dollars a ton 2,200 lbs roughly. And decided to go to Volunteer in Portland, TN. I had a couple of old batteries and when I got there the workers were more than happy to help me. They gave me a ticket to give the lady at the window. And, Told me to pull my trailer around to the scales. I got weighed and pulled to the back and started unloading. I thought 1 of the 2 guys would ask if I needed help since I had some really heavy stuff. But, no. That's why not 5 stars. When I was finished I pulled back around and was weighed again. She asked me if that was all. (She was super nice). I said I'm good. And received the money for my hard work and left with a smile. Definitely going back.
The people have been very helpful and it's a great way to dispose of old items we don't need. Getting a little cash never hurts either. It's also been very fast and easy.
I like this place, just back up to the door and they have people their to take your items off and weight. Give you a number, take it to the office and you get paid. I know who is going to get my business from now own.
Was closing down my business and needed a lot of scrap taken ,they gave me very fair rate and was extremely friendly. I couldn’t ask for better service.
