Absolute garbage company! My sisters car got hit by a deer and had to be towed. They took it less than 10 miles to their lot and had it for less then 24 hours and charged her $525!!!!!!! That is absolutely egregious and anyone with any sense will avoid this company like the plague!
These people are very shady 40 dollars a day storage fees and holding personal property as leverage in lieu of a title for a vehicle so they don’t have to go through the proper paperwork work to take ownership this is what a friend of mine has been going through with tri cities towing I’m questioning the legality of this I just wonder what the Sullivan County sheriffs department would have to say about this. Anyway I’ve been in the local automotive industry for a while now and when people ask me who I would recommend as a towing service it definitely will not be tri cities towing
Friend locked their keys in the car I called Pop a Lock as I’ve used them in the past and they’re reasonably priced at $50 but they can’t do lockouts in Virginia apparently so I called these guy. Service on the phone was professional and courteous and I was quoted $65 I figured they gotta pay for that rollbacks diesel and thats fair. They arrived pretty quickly and rendered service I helped the driver with his flashlight and guide him voila we’re unlocked. The bill came and it was $75
I would have called someone else for that price but services were rendered. The driver felt bad about it but I paid him and he went on his way. I’m not sure where wires got crossed but $65 was confirmed on the phone and I paid more than I was supposed to which is absolutely unacceptable.
The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable that I decided to have my my broken down car at my house towed away and my new car they sold me drives like a dream. Thanks to all the staff and thanks for all the help
If I could give less than 1 star I would... This is one of the most ridiculous places. I've been in the towing game I know how things work.... Never have I ever heard of a gate fee. They want to charge you 75 dollars just to open the gates to the lot, (Just so the owner can claim their personal belongings from the vehicle)..... RIDICULOUS
Charged 373 dollars to tow my car 3.5 miles. Busted left rear tire and broke steering column lock. Then denied damage and said reason bill was so esculated was because they had to be extra careful with my car. If you hire them it's your own fault. I would never recommend such dishonest people.
My car was towed by police Kingsport police because they said I was involved in a burglary and it didn't have no insurance so they towed it these people are rude and quick to the point would not let me get information that I could write down and when my car got towed the tow truck didn't even have a business card they also jerked my car up on their flatbed and Park try to tear my transmission out much?
DO NOT USE THIS TOW COMPANY. The only reason there's even 1 star on here is because i had to pick one, or else there wouldn't be any. My car was towed and there wasn't anything I could do about it, and wasn't able to get anything out of it. upon picking up my car I noticed my things had been gone threw. My bag thrown in the truck, and some of my things missing. They were the only ones in or around the car seeing as how it was a Sunday, and they said they weren't open, that I couldn't get the car, so I had to wait til Monday morning to pick it up, and the second i opened the door you could tell they had went threw it. The lady at the front desk, and the man that towed it did not care one bit. All they had to say was that nobody there would have touched anything. But the junkie that went to get it of the lot ran away the second i said things were gone.
There's too many good towing companies in the area than to have to use this one. Owner shows lack of empathy, compassion, and takes advantage of people in bad situations. Very untrustworthy and unfair.
Our durango broke down again, this time in SC. Tri City Towing was trying to find it and very rude and unprofessional in their attitude AND language. Bad company, bad bad company. Too bad I had to at least give one star.
They towed my car for the City of Kingsport during an awful snow storm. I don't blame them for that; however, they are closed on the weekends and charge you for storage even when they aren't open for you to come get your vehicle! They and the city take advantage of people during unfortunate weather situation!
Very fast to get to me while broken down on highway and knew where to recommend repairs. Even gave me a ride to house on way home for driver and myself. Not every day experience.
