Pinky and the brain made my junk yard experience one of the top 5 best life experiences I have had , somewhere between marrying the love of my life and the birth of my child. I felt truly cared for, I felt there love and compassion especially for cars of the junk varieties. I plan to bring my wife here on our next anniversary. 6 stars!
I haven't been to TAS Recycling in a few year's. A $2.00 entry fee for every person who enter's the yard is to be paid at the counter. The people are easy to talk to. The environment is very comfortable. The two men at the counter are easy to have conversation with, so expect to laugh. "Pinky And The Brain".

Really nice people, very helpful when I asked where specific vehicle was, very good customer service. I had only got a door pin and window wheel and the man told me just to leave a good review. They are very nice and helpful, definitely would recommend anyone needing parts for their vehicles
Im highly unsatisfied with this company.
They took down my info and quoted me a price and made the appointment time to pick up the car which was 3 to 5 pm but never showed.
I wasted my whole afternoon just to find out they didn't even have my address written down.
This is highly unacceptable.
When I called to find out what happened I was told it was my fault because they tried to call me and had changed my appointment time from 11 to 2 when I explained I had to work till 2 so that wouldn't work the lady was rude and hung up on me!
She has an accent.
If you deal with her I feel sorry for you
Nobody should treat people that way.
So I called the next morning and the guy I spoke with had none of my info and had to redo my application just to find out it would be 2 to 3 more days before they can pick it up.
Ridiculous
I found someone who buys cars and is an independent person and will show up

My wife's jeep rear passenger fixed window next to the rolldown part got shattered and Auto Glass shops wanted over $500+ I paid $20 for the window and gasket and divider bar

These people are awesome. They’ve got a super organized system and are extremely fair on the pricing, is my go-to part yard for sure. The last few times I’ve went I’ve found almost everything I needed (except for some 350z parts but those are hard to come across in a yard haha) so they’ve got a pretty big selection and each time they’ve been super good to me with everything. They’re also just nice people all around. Will for sure get my business as long as they’re around!
Thank you for all you do for everyone and at home mechanics. This location is a great place to get what you need for your vehicle, that's if they have your vehicle in the year range. Very friendly personnel. Willing to help in anyway they can. I recommend this place . Will be coming back for more parts when needed differently. I appreciate all that you do. From a retired veteran.
Very helpful and friendly staff, had EXACTLY what I needed, and was kind enough to send me out the door with the few bolts I needed. Can not recommend this place enough, not only due to customer service, but also due to incredibly affordable pricing. Would give more than 5 stars were it an option. me and son enjoy looking , together. My 1st time there, they have wheel barrels to borrow, and good selection of all makes newer and some older. Seen a inline 6 deluxe Chevy like a 59 or so impala w 350 or something like. More newer so if u do need parts, try here. I found parts for all of my vehicles.
The office was clean and air conditioned. They had wheelbarrows too for you to take up the hill while you pick parts. The yard seemed well organized too. The manager was nice and didn't even charge me for the couple small pieces I had because I couldn't find what I was looking for up on the hill.
I've been pulling parts from this yard for years, but now that it is under new management, the difference is night and day. Fair prices and organized yard, and they're even starting to set up an actual inventory system. Would recommend this yard to anyone.

When did junk yards start charging you to go into the yard. Crazy. I brought a taillight and went and paid for it. I waited for my change but lady wasn't getting any so I had to ask for it. I had to have other tools to get another part. After I paid for it I waited for my change again. Nope. It was just 15 cents so I just stool there a minute to see if she was going to give me my change. Nothing. So I just left. So if your paying cash be ready to ask for your change back or you won't get it. Don't forget your 2 dollars cash to get in...
Absolutely awful experience. I’ve been to hilltop many times with no problems, but today I went looking for an alternator, I found one on an old Yukon. The alternator was already taken off so I just grabbed it and walked over to my vehicle to match it with the one on there, the electrical inserts were wrong. So I brought it back and put it in the scrap pile. A few minutes later they accused me of stealing it, I explained to them I was just matching it up. And they refused to believe me I told them to check the cameras or even search my vehicle, they refused and blatantly accused me of stealing. I even shown them the alternator. And the guy told me “that I was planning on stealing it”. They then proceeded to kick me out and take pictures of my license plate. The man who threw me out was extremely egotistical and refused to admit he was wrong. This is not how you run a business.
The prices have climbed to an insane level, this used to be my place to go to get parts, however prices have skyrocketed and become illogical to pay. Was told 100 dollars for a metal fender when new ones eith inner liners cost the same or less, plus that was a set price even if it was damaged.
Got the part I needed. I told the lady at the counter that the part had been exposed to the weather and that it may not work. She said I could bring it back and get my money credited back. The part didn’t work as I suspected and I took it back within the 5 days. She wanted to grill me about if the part was bad and I had to explain it how I know the part is bad. She threw it in the garbage and told me I get store credit. I told her I had no need for store credit, they have nothing else that I want or need. She refused to give me my money back. My business will go to EBay where I can return parts if they don’t work or I will make the drive to Pull-A-Part in Knoxville where you don’t have to roll around in the mud to find a part. I will post and continue to post on my social media accounts that this place is a legitimate “junk yard” full of trash.
Gotta watch who u talk too and who u get when u come to get your parts. I was told by a man and a woman at separate times the price for my part for one was 50$ and 25 for the other. When I came and pulled it it was a different lady working and she charged 65 for one and 40 for the other. So imagine if she does this to each person. She made 30$ just off me and boy they was busy the Saturday I came. Plus she's making her daily wages so she's scoring big. If I didn't need the parts so bad and hadn't have pulled em already I wouldn't have got em
