We experienced one of Mace’s drivers driving EXTREMELY wrecklessly last night on 40 between Jackson and Memphis sometime between 7 and 8pm. While I was in the left hand lane behind at lease two other cars, and this Mace’s driver came barreling up behind me, got WAYYYY too close, and was flashing his lights at me. There was nowhere for me to go, so he then swerved into the right lane extremely close behind a Tacoma, and flashed his lights at them as well. There was a decent amount of traffic, so there wasn’t really anywhere for us to go, and we were all traveling at or above the speed limit. The driver then cut me off and got in between me and the car in front of me, I had to slam on my breaks. The driver in the Tacoma was visibly as upset as I was. This overly aggressive driving continued. It was dark, on the interstate, and he was driving like only his life mattered. My husband called Mace’s because at this point, we were genuinely worried a wreck was going to happen. I mean, he was within 3 or 4 feet of the back of the Tacoma at one point, and had gotten so close to the back of my SUV that I couldn’t see his headlights anymore. The person who answered the phone did not care at all that one of their drivers was endangering the lives of others, and only cared whether or not he had been in an accident. She told us to just call highway patrol. This driver could have killed someone. I’ve included a photo we took so I could remember the name of the company showing the truck and the Tacoma, and this was not at all the closest he got to the rear of the Tacoma.
I had a deeply frustrating experience with Mace’s 24-Hour Towing & Recovery. I found them to be disreputable and, in some respects, even criminal in their practices. To say they are overpriced would be an understatement; they charged me over $500 per mile! It felt like robbery or extortion more than a service.
What’s even worse is their practice of holding your vehicle hostage until they receive payment—payment that you can’t dispute. They demand cash or an ACH transfer, leaving you with no recourse. It was a highly distressing situation, and I felt utterly exploited. I cannot emphasize strongly enough the dishonest and unethical nature of this company’s practices. Upon reviewing their customer reviews, it is evident that their deceitful actions have repeatedly misled customers and compromised trust, revealing a complete lack of integrity in their dealings. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Mace’s Towing at any cost.
That said, they didn't damage my equipment.

I had an absolutely horrible experience with Maces Towing — and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Their customer service is not only unprofessional, but shockingly rude, especially if you’re not American. I was treated with zero respect or empathy throughout the entire situation.
They towed the vehicle I was driving and gave me only 10 minutes to remove my belongings. I was just the driver — not even the owner of the vehicle — but when I tried to return later to retrieve the rest of my personal items, they refused to let me access them. I explained clearly that I wasn’t responsible for the bill and just needed my things, but they didn’t care. They ignored me completely.
I even flew back to try again and was still told no. In the end, they kept all of my personal belongings — with zero explanation, zero compassion, and zero accountability.
This company doesn’t just lack customer service — they lack basic human decency. If you’re in a vulnerable position or not a native-born American, expect to be treated like your voice doesn’t matter.
Avoid Maces Towing at all costs. They are disrespectful, unethical, and clearly have no regard for people’s rights or property.
Worst towing ever, they towed the trailer and didnt even tell who authorized it. They just stole the trailer, Loves truck stop they towed from confirmed that they havent called them. Be aware from this Scammer service
Really super great service Jason was awesome with picking up my bus from off the side of the road very friendly. Made me feel like I was part of the family . Also made sure that I was safe before dropping me off at the hotel. I will love to use this service every time I break down on the road if I could. I give this company a 100% great service.
Richard came and towed my car after an accident on I-240 at 5:00 a.m. He was polite and generally concerned about my condition when he arrived. Since I couldn’t get an Uber being in the middle of the Interstate, he took me to my office so I could get a ride home.
When I went to get my belongings out of my totaled car, Madison helped me to find the car and helped me get into the car and gather my belongings. She was also very concerned i was doing OK.
For such a traumatic experience of being rear ended by a car going almost 100 MPH, Madison and Richard were very helpful in reducing the my overall stress during this ordeal. They were wonderful.
I called to get a truck and trailer towed to loves and they first told me that would take them 1 hour- 1 hour and a half to get there but was less time! also the guy that was driving the tow i think Juan Romero did his best and went beyond his job and helped look out and take them to another truck stop since loves parking lot was full, we are so grateful and he delivered our drivers safely... definitely will hire them again if we need it

My car was towed when a neighbour called MPD and stated that my car was blocking their driveway. Based on the pictures shown, they could in-fact get out of the driveway and my car was not prohibiting them from doing so. MPD did not actually go see my car before it was towed, just went based on what the neighbour said. Also, Mace towing damaged my car significantly in the less than 24 hours they had possession of it; inclusive of scratches and dents, front end damage and a leaking tire. It’s a shame that hard working people have to pay $300 + to get their car out of the tow lot for no reason. Please be aware and do not use these people ever!!
I came down to visit my daughter that just moved here from Canada. My experience had been good until this situation turned it sour, the neighbors called the towing company to report that my daughters car was blocking their driveway but from the one picture they showed us it indeed was not, this company took an opportunity to unlawfully tow a car that was not authorized by the police and then withheld releasing the vehicle until we paid 300 dollars, they are deceitful and should lose their license to continue as a business, you cannot steal from innocent people and continue to thrive as a business.
Stay away from this company if you are a truck driver he charged me 9k to fix a shifted load that took 5 hours, he charged 1800 to bring his big truck to get 16 racks to go 40 miles and 1800 to bring a forklift and charged 6300 for 5 hours of tow labor yea they are on my my no tow list and yea he told me 550 a hour and wouldn’t give me the total until I got to his yard to try to lock the truck in and then came with a charge for 9800
Dispatcher Aaliyah went above and beyond to assist me in my time of need. She is extremely patient, friendly, and courteous. I've dealt with quite a few dispatchers in other companies regarding tows and she by far is the best I've ever encountered. She took her time and didn't rush me off the phone like most tow places do and she genuinely cared and showed empathy for the situation I was in and resolved it. Also I can't forget to mention Alec Jones. He was also by far the best tow truck driver I've encountered. Despite him being very tired from being worked all day and night, he waited patiently for my Lyft driver to show and pick me up to take me home, when he didn't have to do that and for that I am eternally grateful. Thank you so much Aaliyah and Alec!!!!
Jimmy did an excellent job, was broke down on the side of the road. Arrived promptly and got me loaded and my truck dropped off quickly. I would absolutely recommend Mace’s towing and Jimmy to anyone I know.
If I could rate a zero I would! My car was stolen and the thieves abandoned it in an apartment complex. The MPd contacted me on where the car was as well as sent pics. This towing company charged me a bogus Winching fee of $100.00. The detectives and a Impound employee explained to me that the charge was bogus.i called and some older woman said the driver had to do extra work to get the car on the tow truck.Pictures don’t lie and my car was not in a ditch or in a position that the wrecker couldn’t get it! If this is how this company makes money lying what a horrible world we live in.Robbing the poor
When that tow truck parked and I saw the driver door open and I laid eyes on JIMMY, I knew right then and there my vehicle was going to be in great hands. I even whispered to Candace (my 98 accord) Mr. Jimmy will ease you up and onto his bed. After he got Candace strapped down to the truck he dropped her off with very careful driving as In elderly, I’m 84, but Jimmy took care of me like I was family and not just another customer. I love the way Jimmy treated Candice and I.
5 stars for Jimmy! He brought in my reefer truck flawlessly! He unloaded it and even helped move cross ties to sit the box on. Thanks Jimmy! You’re my go to guy now, hands down!
Jimmy did an absolute great job with towing my truck. I did not have my keys to be able to put my truck in neutral and his load/unload was smooth as butter with little to no strain on drivetrain. Not to mention, coming out at midnight. Highly recommend.
I had an injector go out on my truck in Truman AR. and needed a tow to the dealer in Memphis TN. When I called the dealer they recommended Mace's -towing so I called and talked to Toni, she was pleasant to talk with and told me it would be about an hour for them to show up, think it took about 45 minutes, anyway Justin showed up and had me ready to tow pretty quick. we jumped in his truck and went on to the shop, we talked about the towing industry, and he seemed very knowledgeable. he did a great job. the next day I found out that it would be a few days on fixing my truck so I contacted them again to see if they could deliver my load and they agreed to do it. They sent Jimmy out and he picked up the car and trailer and made my delivery for me. he was very nice as well and kept me up to date on his progress and when he would be back with my trailer. the first and second tow bills were reasonable for the loads, and they were professional about their work. I would recommend them to anyone who needed their services. sorry for the grammar I typed this on my mobile phone
Maces towing deliveries on any job at hand. I’ve used Maces several times in the past, from accidentally locking my keys in my truck, to broke down on Shelby dr. at 7:30 in the morning rush. To needing a winch to pull a drilling rig out of a ditch, or getting a boat ready for a tow.They have always arrived in a timely manner and been professional at doing their job. They will really get you out of a pinch when others will have you on a waiting list or guessing game. Maces has created a pace that’s more like a race and others are struggling just to keep up the chase. Longtime customer and highly recommend.
Mace Towing picked up my stolen vehicle and I wasn’t able to pick it up until after New Years Day. When I got there the ladies in the office were very friendly and professional and the storage fees were very reasonable. My new battery had not been removed and my car had been well taken care of. Thank you Mace Towing!!! Great Job!!!
My stolen car was recovered and the city called them to tow it. While they did show up quickly to recover the car, the customer service throughout the process was horrible. When you call to simply ask questions about it they are rude, dismissive and uncooperative. While I understand there are policys in place the customer service is horrible. There are much better ways to speak to people especially when the person whos car you have is of no fault of their own and is not in any way being rude. I really hope they all have much better days than what they appeard to have when speaking with me. 1000x over do NOT recommend simply from the customer service side of this encounter.
Broke down just West of Memphis with a 40 ft 35,000 lb diesel RV on Friday night.
Maces called before coming out to make sure they were bringing the right equipment. Then Buddy showed up, and he really knew what he was doing. This isn't just a regular tow job, with air brakes, and drivetrain disconnect, all involved.

The best service ever! Super friendly driver, willing to help and he stayed with me until He was sure I wouldn’t need anything else. The price was a little high but it was at 3:00 a.m. so I’m totally satisfied. I will recommend you guys to everyone!
