Been knowing Mark for years and he has always been more than fair with me and usually cheaper than anywhere else I went. I wouldn't trust my vehicle with anyone else but Mark.
This is for service on Sunday, June 9th, 2024. Mark is an awesome gentleman. Every other tow service was unavailable, which I knew could be the case on a Sunday afternoon. But Mark callee me back, zeroed in on where exactly I was, and was able to get to my location within minutes. My car had blown a tire on I-24 and I needed my donut switched out so that I could head to a local Walmart to have the tire replaced. This is a frustrating position for me because when I was younger I would have just switched out the tire myself. But I'm an amputee and this was on the side of a very busy interstate. Mark did the job wonderfully and helped get me on my way. Thank you, good sir, for helping me out that day!!!
If I could register negative stars I would. I had taken a suv to them a few years ago to have fuel system worked on. When I put gas in the truck it fell to the ground. Upon asking her what's up am told well someone else worked on it.
Fast forward I decide to take another car to them. After 4000 dollars Noone will take responsibility for the half job that was done OR provide part receipts to me so I can at least have those covered without repaying and AGAIN says oh someone else worked on it . Seems to me he hired guys who aren't up to par so he can pay them less than par and pocket all the cash. Then blames anyone but himself for the shotty work. Bottom line you own a business sir it's your job to make sure the work is done correctly.
This is just a simple review the best is yet to come.
Mark did a great job replacing our transmission and other work needed at a good price and he was quick. I would highly recommend his services. Five Stars!!
Extremely professional and helpful. I was stranded for hours waiting on roadside assistance to find a tow so I called A1 myself. He answered right away, contacted my service provider to expedite the process, (as I was getting nowhere with them) and showed up fast. He even knew what the problem with my truck was as soon as I told him what happened. Very kind, polite and honest. 10 out of 10 recommend. A1 is officially added to my contact list. :) Thanks for getting me out of the cold and home to my kiddos!

Excellent customer service. Very helpful when my daughter broke down. Picked thr vehicle up, did repairs in a timely manner and made sure I knew of other issues that needed to be taken care of and took care of them. Highly recommend this company.
These guys saved this momma tonight! I was stranded with a nail in my tire after grocery shopping. These gentlemen came out and saved me from the kroger parking lot, AFTER HOURS, and made sure I wasnt stranded and had a safe ride to go get my son. I cannot say thank you enough! Highly recommended from this momma!!! You guys were a true blessing to me tonight and I am so grateful!!!!
Mark is a man of integrity. He has helped me with my older daughter's car a couple of times and tonight he helped me with my air conditioner. I called and he was like, come over. No mechanic does that. I usually have to drop my car off and wait for days. I understand some things take time, but you need your car to get to work and it is nice to know he will be honest and not charge an arm and a leg. As a single parent with 3 used cars to manage, it is appreciated. Thank you.
I came not knowing what was wrong with my car. I went around 6-7 pm on a Sunday. No other shop was open. I was really grateful to get assistance for a operation I thought was $175. Once they looked at my car and realized that it wasn’t bad. I was charged less than $ 50 on my car. I was in and out less than 30 minutes. I appreciate great service. I wish I could give 10 stars!
*Day 1 (notice/pre-review): Mark, you did not do what you said you were going to do. This was a reasonable request. Payment was made on time, in full, and in cash as you asked (even in spite of my experiencing extreme inconvenience). All I asked was that you do this one simple task. I will not ask again. If this was something you knew you were not actually going to do, then you should have never agreed. You can expect a scathingly, in-depth review if this simple request does not come to fruition soon. Have a good day....
*Day 2 (review)...No response - Time to elaborate: Although it would seem these guys did good work on my truck, I was initially asked to pay way more than the job was worth just to see if I'd go for it. That was quickly shot down when they could see that I was on to them. Ultimately, I estimate I ended up paying somewhere between $60-100 over price. However, it was late in the day and I did not have all the resources needed for such an endeavor. In addition, I had to get this issue fixed immediately regardless of what they told me.
I was not allowed to pay by card (cash only), so I had to hop in a car with a total stranger to find an ATM like we were making some kind of clandestine drug deal. We ended up driving all over the place. I eventually had to go to a local Walmart a ways out to do a supermarket sweep just so I could pull cash back off purchased items one piece at a time in $100 increments of several different denominations via kiosk. I ended up spending a considerable amount of time on the phone with my bank to try to lift the block on my card as a result of "suspicious activity" just so I could get the rest of the money.
I was willing to let all of this slide. All that I asked in return was a receipt and invoice on parts (ya know, like any professional establishment would do without even being asked), but as of this review, that ship has sailed. I didn't even put him on the spot; I told him to just send pictures of this stuff to my phone (and, yes, he has my number). He said, "Sure," "Absolutely," "No problem," "will do" - ya know, stuff people say when they actually plan on fulfilling their commitments. Although it did occur to me at the time, I now know for a fact that this person just tells people whatever he thinks they wanna hear after the payment is made. Business as usual at A-1, I presume.
Because I received no paperwork, I am now highly suspect of what kind of operation these guys are running. You wanna run a cash-only business just so you don't have to report x, y, or z to the government, that's your business - more power to ya; withholding documentation of my own purchases, however, is an infringement upon MY personal business, but more importantly, you are infringing upon my rights as a consumer. The purpose of a business' review section should not be that of familiar fanfare (like with the previous reviews). I get no satisfaction from composing something like this, but I do feel that it is my duty as a concerned citizen to give an informed opinion. Have an A-1 day.
I only trust Mark's. Amazing work and will fix what you need fixed. I have been going to mark for 13 years since my first car, I will never need another mechanic.
Mark is a superb mechanic. If you want to support small business, someone who is fair and not hitting you upside the head with huge markups and unnecessary repairs this is your guy. I am a single female, and we all know how sometimes we are taken advantage of because of our lack of knowledge of cars. Well, I totally trust this guy. If you're looking for fair prices and honesty I highly recommend him.
