Came in on memorial day weekend and what a surprise. The clerk decided to have a 4 day weekend so nobody that was actually there knew how to run the computer. The guy was like I can just write your weight down and I will make sure you get paid. OK cool so I took the signed 👍 sheet and went on with my day. 1 week later when I had a 2nd load to bring so it makes sense financially. The clerk pays me twice for the lessor load I brought instead of paying me for actual weight that was written down on the signed paper. As if to not honor the previous true weight of the load. I actually picked up a piece of metal in my tire from the first trip there which led to a flat tire 5 days later. They have surveillance there, so it's all recorded. So now I'm negative $250 for a new tire, and I've been robbed for actual work I did for gyping on my actual weight. It might not even be $20 they screwed me out of, but they totally ruined my day and are clearly untrustworthy. PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND TAKE YOUR SCRAPS TO A BETTER COMPANY. YOU WILL GET CHEATED HERE!

My fiance and I have had bad experiences at a metal recycling place in Hermitage and one downtown, so we were not excited to have to do another trip to one of them. We found this place online and the reviews were really good, so we tried them out. The lady at the window is so friendly and so are all of the workers, thank you all so much for restoring our faith in people again!! The process was easy and everyone helped us instead of yelled at us when we were new to their business. Apparently this place even has customer appreciation days. We also got great prices for our metal. We were paid $6 for 180 lbs at the other places we went to, but instead of ripping us off we were paid fairly here. We'll definitely be back!!!

I have been bringing scrap metal to the small scale for years as a matter of fact I brought scrap yesterday to this exact location. A supervisor name Danny denied access. His attitude was persona non grata. I have observed several people bring scrap to the small no problem. Never again, if you are a person of color do not do business with Express Scrap Metals.

I took 700 pould of metal to them and only got $38 dollars and my out weight is never the same and they cut off the weight display so they can take weight off my scrap I will go esle where 21 pounds of clean aluminum got me $8 don't seem right to rip people off that are trying to feed there kids and they don't take the time to recycle there refrigerator gases they just let it out in the yard so it can hurt people that live near by not ok to do that is a codes violation

I called to get rid of an old truck I had sitting at my home. They called me back after making arrangements and then took it too the next level by offering to come pick it up for free, in addition to paying a very reasonable price for my scrap metal! The next day I got a call before the man, Jacob, headed my way and he was here exactly when he told me he would be. The pickup was quick, the paperwork was simple, and honestly all it took on my part was a few phone calls. I 100% recommend if you want to recycle your car! This is the easiest way to do it.

This place has went straight down, they got people that don't speak English an don't know there metals running the scales, I took 120 pounds of clean aluminum and got 4 dollars for it. And they all tried to gang up on me when I told them that they were wrong and tried to banned me from the small scales..this is not a hobby for me this is how I put food on my plate. I suggests going to mid tenn.

Their hours are absolutely terrible, but they have the best prices (from what I've been able to research) in all of middle Tennessee. If there's a place with better prices for any type of scrap then they don't advertise themselves because I haven't found it. The guys that run the place are real nice and remember you plus the entire place inside and out is kept up and clean so that's a nice touch for a type of place that typically isn't the greatest crowd at times.

Based on great reviews loaded up lots of metal from 15' trampoline, punching bag stands and other odds and ends. Online listing said they closed at 1:30. Called to verify and voice mail listed the same time. Showed up at 1:00 and drove through the gate to be greeted by 2 employees who told me they were closed today (gate open, employees present, listed as open until 1:30). I was told I could throw all of my stuff in the pile, I just wouldn't get paid for it. That seemed pretty suspicious, but a good way for them to get metal without having to pay. When I pushed the issue, I was told I could always come back Monday. Chose this place because of the advertised Saturday hours. Should have stuck with the dump closer to my house.

It is a good place, but it should be MUCH BETTER IF THERE WERE A SIGNAL WHERE THE PRICE OF THE METAL IS INDICATED, I went to sell 1000 pounds of metal where they paid me $ 50, it seemed very little, but maybe they can improve this.

Had a great experience with Donnie in the repair shop. He replaced my coolant tank in my 1997 Taurus wagon, for about $400 LESS than what Express Oil in Franklin charged me to do the same thing, 2 years ago. I'll be going to Gray's from here on out for all my car needs.

0.05 for one pound , $35 for 700 lb of scrub metal . I felt they pay me that because I looked new ( this was my first time ) and they know I'm foreigner from my English so that decided to pay me less . Ok friendly staff .

This is they absolute worst and most dishonest rolloff dumpster company in middle Tennessee. Only thing they will empty is your wallet. I will never use them again!!!! I have my container agreement and it clearly shows I was way over charged
